Abstract

The process of cutting labels at the Jago Jaya Industry Shuttlecock has not implemented efficient working methods, so production targets are not achieved. This study aims to improve the working method of the workstation through the implementation of a label cutting tool in the Jago Jaya industry. The method used to analyze hand movements uses the Right Hand and Left Hand Map. Improved operator hand movements to be more balanced so as to increase productivity at the label cutting workstation. The time required to cut 50 labels was reduced from 72 seconds to 46 seconds after the application of the cutting tool and the change in the placement of the equipment closer to the operator. After the implementation of the pacemaker, the ineffective movements of the left hand were eliminated, such as 8 times from 10 to 2 times and 4 times from 6 to 2 times. Meanwhile, on the right, campaigns were held 1 time, from 5 times to 4 times.

Abstract

Jago Jaya Shuttlecock Industry is an MSME in Jagalan, Surakarta, that produces shuttlecocks. Based on these conditions, a study was conducted in 2020 by Sherlinta Kaban, which produced a label cutting tool tested on a label cutting workstation. However, in the trial, there are several obstacles found in using the label cutting tool, so follow-up study to analyze and improve the label cutting tools in previous studies to produce a new design that can be re-implemented. Ergonomics aspects used in this study are analysis of work posture using REBA, measurement of standard time with Westinghouse adjustments, the study of left and right-hand map movements, and tool redesign using the Reverse Engineering method. The improvements include implementing a new label cutting tool that can improve the operator's work posture, reduce standard time, increase the number of standard outputs, and improve operator hand movements to increase productivity at label cutting work stations.

Abstract

The growing demand for customized products and shorter delivery times has intensified the pressure on logistics and warehouse operations to become more efficient, flexible, and responsive. In this context, selecting an appropriate automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS) is a complex multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) problem that requires a systematic, quantitative evaluation approach. This study proposes an integrated decision-making framework that combines the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) to determine the most suitable automated storage technology for warehousing operations. Four key criteria were identified—Throughput, Accuracy, Ergonomics, and Space Utilization—and three alternatives were evaluated: Miniload, Vertical Carousel, and Vertical Lift. The AHP method was used to derive the relative importance of the criteria, producing consistent weights with a CR value of 8.28%. These weights were subsequently applied in the TOPSIS analysis to rank the alternatives based on their closeness to the ideal solution. The results indicate that Vertical Lift emerged as the optimal choice (CC = 0.6657), followed by Vertical Carousel (CC = 0.4657) and Miniload (CC = 0.3688). Sensitivity analysis, conducted through both One-at-a-Time (OAT) and scenario-based approaches, confirmed the robustness of the decision model under varying preference scenarios. This research contributes to the body of knowledge on warehouse automation decision-making by providing a transparent, quantitative, and adaptable framework that supports managers in enhancing operational performance and optimizing resource utilization.

Abstract

Perkembangan transformasi digital mendorong perlunya sistem perencanaan produksi berbasis web. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang sebuah sistem web bernama PT Empat Bersaudara yang berfungsi untuk perhitungan Peramalan (Forecasting), Bill of Materials (BOM), dan Material Requirements Planning (MRP). Sistem perhitungan pada web menggunakan tiga metode peramalan, yaitu Moving Average (MA), Weighted Moving Average (WMA), dan Single Exponential Smoothing (SES), bertujuan untuk menganalisis enam periode peramalan dengan metode terbaik yang digunakan. Perancangan dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan User-Centered Design (UCD) dan alat bantu Visual Studio Code untuk pengeditan kode pemrograman. Aplikasi dirancang mencakup fitur dashboard, forecast, data/BOM, MRP, dan fitur tambahan seperti: Produksi dan Log. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa perancangan web untuk perhitungan Forecasting, BOM, dan MRP dalam satu platform mampu meningkatkan akurasi, mengurangi human error, mempercepat proses perencanaan, dan meningkatkan efisiensi pengelolaan persediaan. Sistem ini dinilai sebagai solusi yang praktis dan efektif bagi perusahaan manufaktur untuk memenuhi tantangan era digital dan Industri 5.0.
