ABSTRAK Penyakit kardiovaskuler merupakan penyebab utama kematian global, terutama pada lansia dengan hipertensi yang tidak terkontrol. Survei awal di Puskesmas Mekarmukti menunjukkan kurangnya edukasi mengenai tanda-tanda kegawatdaruratan kardiovaskuler dan minimnya program pencegahan berbasis komunitas. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan lansia dalam mencegah komplikasi kardiovaskuler melalui edukasi dan pelatihan Buerger-Allen Exercise. Kegiatan dilakukan dalam tiga tahap: persiapan, pelaksanaan edukasi dan pelatihan, serta evaluasi dengan pengukuran pengetahuan dan tekanan darah sebelum dan sesudah intervensi pada 30 peserta lansia hipertensi. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan rata-rata skor pengetahuan: hipertensi (dari 3,06 menjadi 4,40), kegawatdaruratan kardiovaskuler (3,13 menjadi 4,43), dan Buerger-Allen Exercise (2,60 menjadi 4,07). Selain itu, terjadi penurunan bermakna tekanan darah sistolik sebesar 13,50 mmHg (151,77 ± 5,64 menjadi 138,27 ± 5,04; p < 0,001) dan diastolik sebesar 8,27 mmHg (95,70 ± 3,23 menjadi 87,43 ± 3,19; p < 0,001). Dengan demikian, edukasi interaktif dan pelatihan Buerger-Allen Exercise terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, serta menurunkan tekanan darah pada lansia hipertensi. Program ini berkontribusi dalam upaya promotif-preventif Puskesmas Mekarmukti serta dapat dijadikan model intervensi komunitas untuk pencegahan komplikasi kardiovaskuler. ABSTRACT Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death globally, particularly among elderly individuals with uncontrolled hypertension. A preliminary survey at Mekarmukti Public Health Center revealed a lack of education regarding cardiovascular emergencies and limited implementation of community-based prevention programs. This program aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of elderly individuals in preventing cardiovascular complications through education and training in Buerger-Allen Exercise. The intervention was carried out in three stages: preparation, implementation of education and training, and evaluation by measuring knowledge and blood pressure before and after the intervention among 30 elderly participants with hypertension. Results showed a significant improvement in mean knowledge scores: hypertension (from 3.06 to 4.40), cardiovascular emergencies (3.13 to 4.43), and Buerger-Allen Exercise (2.60 to 4.07). Furthermore, there was a significant reduction in blood pressure, with systolic decreasing by 13.50 mmHg (151.77 ± 5.64 to 138.27 ± 5.04; p < 0.001) and diastolic decreasing by 8.27 mmHg (95.70 ± 3.23 to 87.43 ± 3.19; p < 0.001). In conclusion, interactive education and Buerger-Allen Exercise training were proven effective in improving knowledge, skills, and lowering blood pressure among elderly individuals with hypertension. This program contributes to promotive-preventive efforts at Mekarmukti Public Health Center and can serve as a community-based intervention model to prevent cardiovascular complications.
