Abstract

The impact of complications arising from gestational diabetes mellitus such as increased SC deliveries, macrosomia, preeclampsia, hypoglycemia, premature birth and others (RSCM, 2017). The prevalence of Pregnancy DM is increasing, especially in developing countries, estimated at 3.8% to 21%. The prevalence of DM complications in Indonesia is 2 out of 5 diabetic women in the reproductive age range. The impact caused by mothers suffering from gestational diabetes mellitus is that the mother is at high risk of excess weight gain, preeclampsia, eclampsia, caesarean section, and cardiovascular complications and even maternal death. Educational Objectives Health education is carried out for pregnant women to increase knowledge and it is hoped that efforts will be made to prevent the disease. The education methods provided are in the form of counseling and health checks including blood pressure checks, anthropometry and blood glucose as well as health education. Health education provided regarding danger signs and risk factors for pregnant women regarding Gestational Diabetes Mellitus Results. Measurement of mothers' knowledge about the introduction of gestational diabetes mellitus resulted in the average value of knowledge of pregnant women during the pretest being 60.00 (good enough category according to Arikunto), all participants experienced an increase in knowledge with an average of 90.00 (good category according to Arikunto ). Conclusion: By providing education to pregnant women about gestational diabetes mellitus smoothly, there is an increase in understanding of pregnant women about gestational diabetes mellitus.Keywords: Hypertension, Cadre, Pregnancy, Preeclampsia.

Abstract

As older people get older, there is a decline in the elderly's memory. Many elderly people forget something. If left unchecked, memory loss will ultimately impact the quality of life of the elderly. Memory as part of the cognitive function of the elderly needs to be improved. The aim of this community service is to improve the ability of the elderly to independently practice brain gymnastics in an effort to improve cognitive function in the elderly, as a preventive and promotive activity for the health of the elderly. Brain exercise therapy was attended by 12 elderly people in the RT 06 RW 01 area, Tanjungrejo sub-district, Sukun District, Malang City, which was carried out at the house of one of the residents. The activity is carried out in 2 sessions, namely a training session and a therapy session, consisting of 9 hand movements that train the balance of the right and left brain. The results of the activity showed that there were 5 elderly people who could do brain exercises independently and 7 other elderly people could do it with help. This activity went well, the elderly were enthusiastic about this activity which was seen through sentences and body gestures as well as excitement in doing brain exercises. With this activity, the Service concluded that this training had a success of 42% to be able to practice brain gymnastics therapy in improving the cognitive health of the elderly.

Abstract

The silver langur (Trachypithecus cristatus) is a primate species protected by law. Its conservation status is listed as Vulnerable in the IUCN Red List data and Appendix II status in CITES. The very sharp decline in the gray langur population is due to declining habitat quality and poaching. The STIK educational forest is a secondary forest, which is disturbed by illegal logging and forest encroachment for community gardens and forest fires. The population data include group sixes and structures were not know well number of groups and individuals in the gray langur is not yet known. The age structure and sex ratio of the gray langur are also not yet known. The composition of the food trees of silver langur in this area is also not yet known. There is no data on those silver langur in the STIK Jantho educational forest. This study aims to obtain data on the gray langur in the STIK Jantho educational forest, including the number of groups, the number of individuals, the age structure, and the sex ratio of the gray langur. Data collection in this study used the line transect method by recording the number of groups, the number of individuals, the age structure, and the sex ratio. Data analysis using Arch GIS 10.1 to determine the distribution of gray langurs by plotting each coordinate obtained, using GPS visualized in the form of a map. Determination of gray langur density using the formula: P = D x A. Found 1 group of Gray langurs (Trachypithecus cristatus), with a total of 10 individuals. The age structure of gray langurs in HP STIK Jantho is included in the developing age category and has a complete composition (Male, adult female, infant, and juveneel).
