Abstract

Reading difficulties in first grade elementary school students are a challenge in the learning process, especially in understanding letters, syllables, and words. This study aims to analyze students' reading difficulties based on the perspective of Bronfenbrenner's ecological theory, which highlights the influence of the environment on individual development. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method conducted at UPT SD Negeri 060925 Medan. Data were collected through observation, reading tests, and interviews with four students who had reading difficulties. The results of the study indicate that environmental factors play a significant role in influencing students' reading abilities. The microsystem environment (family and school) influences literacy development through interactions with parents and teachers. Coordination between the home and school environments in the mesosystem also has an impact on the consistency of reading practices. In addition, the ecosystem and macrosystem, including reading culture in society and social expectations, play a role in shaping students' motivation. Chronosystem factors, such as curriculum changes and events in students' lives, also influence their reading development. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of a holistic approach in dealing with first grade students' reading difficulties, by involving support from family, school, and community. Bronfenbrenner's ecological theory-based intervention can be an effective strategy in improving students' reading skills from an early age.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology and media has had a significant impact on various aspects of society, including the use of good and correct language. Recently, a new trend has emerged among elementary school students, known as slang. Slang Refers to the use of informal language that often contains trendy terms in everyday conversation. Examples of common slang words used include "mantul", "santuy", and others. The use of this slang has triggered concerns in society about its impact on the development of Indonesian among elementary school students. This study aims to analyze the influence of slang on Indonesian, identify commonly used slang vocabulary, analyze the development of slang among lower grade students, and assess the positive and negative impacts of the use of slang. The research method used is a survey delivered to selected respondents, as well as a literature review of relevant books, magazines, and online sources. The novelty of this study lies in the exploration of how slang affects the development of Indonesian among elementary school students.

Abstract

Pengelolaan keuangan desa yang transparan dan akuntabel merupakan prasyarat penting dalam mewujudkan tata kelola pemerintahan desa yang baik. Namun, kenyataan di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa masih banyak aparatur desa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami prinsip-prinsip dasar akuntansi dan belum optimal dalam mengimplementasikan sistem aplikasi pengelolaan keuangan desa yaitu Siskeudes. Permasalahan tersebut menjadi dasar dilaksanakannya kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi aparatur Desa Tanjung Siram Kecamatan Bilah Hulu Kabupaten Labuhanbatu dalam mengelola keuangan desa secara efektif dan efisien. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini meliputi tiga tahap, yaitu sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan evaluasi. Pelatihan diberikan dalam bentuk teori dan praktik langsung penggunaan aplikasi Siskeudes serta prinsip dasar akuntansi sektor publik. Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta terhadap pengelolaan keuangan desa, baik dari aspek penyusunan laporan, pencatatan transaksi, hingga pelaporan berbasis aplikasi. Evaluasi kegiatan menunjukkan kepuasan mitra terhadap kegiatan yang dilaksanakan serta munculnya kesadaran akan pentingnya integritas dan transparansi dalam pengelolaan keuangan publik desa. Kegiatan ini diharapkan menjadi model pemberdayaan yang dapat direplikasi di desa-desa lain dengan permasalahan serupa, serta menjadi kontribusi nyata dunia akademik dalam mendukung pembangunan desa yang berkelanjutan.
