Abstract

One of the world's largest consumption of energy is crude oil, which is a source of transportation fuel. Crude oil is often used as an indicator of the world economy because fluctuating oil prices can affect a country's capital market, both developed and developing countries. This study aims to analyze the comparison of the effect of crude oil prices on stock indexes in Indonesia and Malaysia during the RussiaUkraine War. This research is a comparative research using saturated sampling data collection method with a total sample of 454. The data is taken from index data listed on the Indonesian and Malaysian stock exchanges and world oil price data, then the data is tested using the Statistical Program for Social Science application. (SPSS). The results of this study indicate that the price of crude oil has a significant positive effect on the stock price index of Indonesian energy companies, while for Malaysia it produces a significant negative relationship.

Abstract

Each individual has their own assets, but the important thing is how to manage them properly and correctly. A bad investment or even consumptive behavior will cause the person to experience losses and bankruptcy. Lack of knowledge and education about managing finances will be a big challenge, especially for students. This research aims to examine the effect of financial knowledge and financial attitude on the personal financial management of Batam International University students. Data was obtained by filling out questionnaires, which were distributed to 97 students at Batam International University using Google Forms as a data collection tool. The analytical method used in this study is the partial least squares structural equation model (PLS-SEM). Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that financial knowledge and financial attitude have a significant positive effect on financial management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the gender diversity of boards of directors and its impact on firm risk-taking. It is interesting to study because the presence of women on the board of directors of a firm has garnered considerable attention in the last few years. The sample is drawn from the industrial sector listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange from 2017 to 2021. Firm risk-taking is measured by the volatility of stock returns. Using panel data, the results of the research indicate that gender diversity has a significantly positive impact on firm risk-taking. This finding contributes that a female board of directors would lead to greater risk-taking than their male counterparts. This research provides a literature on gender diversity and firm risk-taking in a male-dominated sector in Indonesia, providing insights for investors and companies to consider the potential benefits of gender diversity on board of directors in managing firm risk-taking. Further research could apply other measurements of firm risk-taking and observe other male-dominated sectors for comparison to enhance the study’s limitation.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Strategi Inovasi Berbasis Sistem ERP Terhadap Kinerja Operasional UMKM Cafe Abang untuk meningkatkan produktivitas, pendapatan, dan meningkatkan kinerja operasional UMKM Cafe Abang dengan sistem ERP. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode penelitian kualitatif, proses pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode wawancara dan observasi, kegiatan wawancara dengan pemilik usaha dan observasi dilakukan dengan kunjungan ke lokasi usaha untuk mengetahui kondisi usaha saat ini. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa untuk meningkatkan kinerja operasional UMKM Cafe Abang akan baik untuk diimplementasikan sistem ERP seperti POS, Inventory, dan Software CRM. Juga terus melakukan inovasi dan pengembangan untuk produk yang telah ada.Kata Kunci: ERP. UMKM, Kinerja Operasional AbstractThis study aims to determine the effect of ERP System-Based Innovation Strategy on Operational Performance of MSME Cafe Abang to increase productivity, income, and improve operational performance of MSME Cafe Abang with an ERP system. The research was conducted using qualitative research methods, the data collection process was carried out by interview and observation methods, interviews with business owners and observations were carried out by visiting business locations to find out the current business conditions. From this study it can be concluded that to improve the operational performance of MSME Cafe Abang it would be good to implement ERP systems such as POS, Inventory, and CRM Software.
