Abstract

An employee's commitment to the company is one of the guarantees for maintaining the continuity of the organization, namely creating a sense of belonging to the company. Therefore, it is important to measure the role performance of employees in Indonesia. The organizational commitment measurement tool was first developed in 1982 by Steers, Porter and Mowday. This study aims to evaluate the validity and reliability of the Organizational Commitment Questionnaire (OCQ) measuring instrument in Indonesian. The analytical techniques used are Classical Test Theory (CTT) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). Participants in this study were 227 employees (n = 370) who were taken using incidental sampling techniques. The adapted scale shows that it is reliable with Cronbach's Alpha of 0.853. In the results of Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), the fit model is acceptable (RMSEA = 0.064 CFI = 0.952) which indicates that the data is in accordance with the research hypothesis, namely there is no difference between the matrix and the S matrix.

Abstract

Kondisi sosio-ekonomi orang tua cukup mempengaruhi kemampuan siswa untuk dapat menyesuaikan diri dengan tuntutan akademik yang ada. Selain itu, kondisi ekonomi yang terbatas dapat berdampak pada kurang optimalnya fungsi keluarga, dikarenakan keluarga akan lebih berfokus untuk melakukan aktivitas ekonomi agar dapat memenuhi kebutuhan keluarga. Untuk dapat membantu orang tua dalam mendampingi dan mendukung akademik anak, diadakan workshop agar orang tua dapat mengoptimalkan dukungan orang tua dalam meningkatkan penyesuaian akademik siswa. Sebanyak 25 orang tua siswa SMP 4 Jatinangor mengikuti kegiatan ini. Peserta merupakan perwakilan orang tua siswa kelas 7 SMP. Hasilnya menunjukkan adanya peningkatan dalam pemahaman pada beberapa orang tua mengenai peran dukungan orang tua terhadap siswa penyesuaian akademik. Orang tua juga memberikan respon yang baik dan puas terhadap materi dan kegiatan.

Abstract

Background: Indonesia is situated on three major tectonic plates, making it highly susceptible to earthquakes. These disasters can cause significant material and psychological damage. Coping mechanisms are crucial for dealing with the stress following an earthquake, as they influence positive psychological changes. Research also shows that resilience affects psychological recovery after disasters. Objective: This study aims to examine the mediating role of resilience in the relationship between coping mechanisms and post-traumatic growth among adolescent earthquake survivors. Method: A quantitative descriptive approach was used with 201 high school students from the Cianjur District, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using the Brief-COPE for coping mechanisms, RS-14 for resilience, and PTGI-SF for post-traumatic growth. Results: The results show significant direct relationships between the variables. The direct effect of coping mechanisms on post-traumatic growth is 42.4%, while the effect through resilience is 10.9%. Conclusion: Resilience does not mediate the relationship between coping mechanisms and post-traumatic growth. The study highlights the importance of focusing on coping mechanisms to enhance post-traumatic growth in adolescent earthquake survivors.

Abstract

Fashion retail sector is one of the largest sources of employment in Indonesia and also shows the tight business competition in the fashion retail sector. As a company that carries the concept of fast fashion, the production team at PT X is one of the divisions that has a crucial role in its business process. The purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy of PT X's production division's performance using the team metrics approach developed by Woodcock and Francis. The Team Blockage Questionnaire and the Internal-Process-Output (IPO) style of interviewing were employed in this study. The assessment results show that the team still has to improve in a few areas in order to perform more effectively at work. The significant variable in understanding why the team's performance is not as effective as it should be is leadership. Interventions are therefore needed to improve these crucial areas for the affected employees as well as for other division and management members.

Abstract

At work, an effective environment will increase a person's work productivity. Efforts to study this condition can be made by examining organizational well-being. This research was conducted to find out whether organizational well-being perceived by employees influences employee commitment to the company where they work. The population in this study was 128 telecommunication employees who were selected using stratified random sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out through an organizational well-being questionnaire developed by (I Prilleltensky, 2007) and an organizational commitment questionnaire adapted and modified from (JP Meyer, 1997) questionnaire. Hypothesis testing uses simple regression analysis techniques. The results showed that organizational well-being has a significant influence on the three components of organizational commitment, namely affective commitment, continuance commitment, and normative commitment. In this study, data was found that Organizational well-being contributes the most to affective commitment compared to other components.Dalam bekerja, lingkungan yang efektif akan meningkatkan produktivitas kerja seseorang. Upaya untuk menelaah kondisi ini dapat dilakukan dengan menelaah organizational well-being. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah organizational wellbeing yang dipersepsi oleh karyawan berpengaruh pada komitmen karyawan terhadap perusahaan tempatnya bekerja. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan telekomunikasi sejumlah 128 orang yang dipilih menggunakan teknik stratified random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner organizational well-being yang dikembangkan dari teori (I Prilleltensky, 2007) dan kuesioner organizational commitment yang diadaptasi dan dimodifikasi dari kuesioner (JP Meyer, 1997). Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan teknik analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa organizational well-being memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap ketiga komponen organizational commitment yaitu affective commitment, continuance commitment, dan normative commitment. Dalam penelitian ini, didapati data bahwa Organizational well-being berkontribusi terbesar terhadap affective commitment dibandingkan dengan komponen lainnya.

Abstract

Research on gaming disorder and its prevention has been intensified since the World Health Organization (WHO) included gaming disorder in the 11th edition of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-11). This study aims to examine the effectiveness of exercise-based intervention in reducing symptoms of gaming disorder in adolescents. A quasi-experimental method with an interrupted time-series design was used to compare participants' conditions between before and after the intervention. The sampling method used was purposive sampling with the following criteria: (1) adolescents aged 12-18 years, (2) playing games, (3) getting a score of five or more on The Ten-Item Internet Gaming Disorder (IGDT-10) instrument. Five participants (n = 5) who met the criteria then participated in the intervention procedure for three days. Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test was used to analyze the significance of the difference in scores between pre- and post-intervention. The results indicated that there was a significant reduction in gaming disorder symptoms between pre- and post-intervention (T = 0.00, p 0.05, n = 5,  = 0.00,  = 15.00).  This research has practical implications for the use of exercise-based intervention to prevent and treat gaming disorder in adolescents and its application in educational and clinical settings. Similar research with the use of objective indicators, the use of randomized sampling techniques, and the provision of interventions over a long period of time is highly recommended to improve the quality of future research.
