Abstract

Supply chain is basically an integrated system in the process of preparing and delivering products to consumers. This chain is also a network of numerous businesses that are interrelated and have a common objective. This company, which is engaged in the processing of soy sauce using soybeans as its raw material, produces sweet soy sauce and salty soy sauce. Production policy used in this industry was based on the number of requests at the store's sales area and the demand to anticipate fluctuating demand were added 10%. Inaccuracies in the number of requests result in a varied difference between the number of requests and the number of sales, causing overstocking when demand decreases or stockouts when supplies cannot meet demand or commonly known as the bullwhip effect. Based on these problems, this study aims to obtain the right production policy to minimize the bullwhip effect using the CPFR framework. The results of this study show that the bullwhip effect values for sweet and salty soy sauce are 0.812 and 0.814, respectively.

Abstract

Tempe is a traditional Indonesian food made from fermented soybeans, which is in great demand by the public and highly nutritious. The soybean washing process in the tempe production process is an important process because it has an impact on the quality and cleanliness of the tempe produced. The washing process was carried out twice, namely before and after the boiling process. The soybean washing process in the home industry uses simple equipment that does not support normal work positions. As a result, workers get tired easily. If it lasts for a long time, it causes permanent work-related pain. This paper describes the process of procuring an ergonomic soybean washing machine so as to reduce work fatigue. In the short term, the benefits that are immediately felt by the Home Tempe Industry business partners are that the soybean washing process becomes lighter and less tiring as before. The proposed tool can also increase production capacity because it can reduce the washing process time and worker rest time. The capacity of one washing can accommodate 50-60 kg of soybeans so that the repetition of washing becomes less and results in a shorter production process time. In the end, the production capacity per day can be increased and the productivity of the Home Tempe Industry partners also increases.

Abstract

The main supply of indonesian food comes from agricultural and livestock products. One of the sources of body protein that is favored by the public from the livestock sector, one of which is poultry farming. Egg and meat commodities from poultry have excellent market prospects because prices are relatively cheap and easy toobtain. One of the keys to the success of poultry is the timely and high-nutrient feeding that contains high levels of protein. IKA Livestock Business spends Rp5.400.000 for animal feed costs every month. The high cost makes partners mix feed with corn. But large corn grains are difficult to digest so it requires simple technology that is able to break down corn. To encourage the improvement of efficiency through modification of animal feed so that the implementation of science and technology that is able to provide results in the form of grain grinder machine to overcome the problem of animal feed. In addition to creating this devotional tool also provides training on financial management by bookkeeping and the creation of machine usage and maintenance procedures so that performance is maintained and has a long service life.

Abstract

Abstract:In the current modern era, the competitive situation of the manufacturing industry has increased and is very tight. The importance of production efficiency in a company is to increase revenue, which is the goal of every company by minimizing waste. One approach used to minimize waste is lean manufacturing. The study was conducted on a company that produces and markets products in the form of lamp posts on public roads and toll roads. The problem that often occurs in the manufacturing process of product items is that many production processes are not achieved according to the standard time set by the Company. In this study, a Lean Manufacturing analysis was carried out to improve the lamp post production process using the Value Stream Analysis Tools (Valsat) method. Based on this study, the type of waste waiting is the most dominant type of waste with a percentage of 19.55%. In second place is the type of waste overproduction with a cumulative percentage of 18.54% while waste motion is 17.32%. Based on the current state value stream mapping, the process cycle efficiency of the Hexagonal Lamp Post manufacturing process is 98%.  Keyword:Lean Manufacturing, Waste, Value Stream Analysis Tools, Process Cycle  Efficiency  Abstrak:Pada era modern saatinisituasipersainganindustri manufakturmengalamikenaikan dan sangat ketat.Pentingnyaefisiensiproduksidalamsebuahperusahaanadalahuntukmeningkatkanpendapatandimanahalinimerupakantujuansetiap perusahaandenganmemperkecilterjadinyawaste. Abstract

A furniture company that produces dining chairs, coffee tables, and sofa has a common problem, namely the company's inability to complete production targets within the specified time period. These general problems are the result of less efficient production paths because there is backtracking, by-passing, cross movement, and material transfer between stations that are far apart. This problem can be resolved by using improvements to the production floor layout using BLOCPLAN, Systematic Layout Planning, and Algorithms Differential Evolution. This research aims to design a production floor layout that can minimize distance, total movement moment, and material handling costs, with a line efficiency rate above 75%. The results of this research show that the proposed layout was selected using the Differential Evolution Algorithm with a displacement distance of 231.24 meters, a total displacement moment of 15,820.93 meters/month, material handling costs of IDR 1,865,920/month, and a line efficiency rate of 81.94 %.

Abstract

This community service activity brought about a change in the process of cutting “kerupuk jangek” by providing a mechanical cutting tool powered by a dynamo, along with an adjustable cutting size capacity of 200 kg/hour. Previously, the production process of “kerupuk jangek” was done manually, but the cutting process was time-consuming. Craftsmen used to cut the skin while sitting on a 45 cm high wooden bench. Their right hand continuously operated the knife with the right shoulder raised, while the left hand held the sheet of skin and the neck was bent. Every day, the craftsmen manually cut 240 sheets of shin with a knife for 3 hours of work. The manual process often resulted in tired fingers and accidents where their fingers came into contact with the knife blade due to fatigue and the absence of a barrier between their finger and the knife blade. The delayed cutting process also affected the drying process, preventing the “kerupuk” from expanding properly during frying and causing a defect rate of more than 5%. The method used in this activity is providing information, training and assistance in using ergonomic work facilities. The use of the mechanical cutting tool resulted in a shorter buffalo skin-cutting process, and craftsmen were fed from bodily discomfort and potential injuries caused by contact with the knife blade.
