Abstract

Pendidikan sayogyanya merupakan sebuah proses yang menghendaki perbaikan positif dan berbagai sisi. Pelaksanaan pendidikan yang baik akan menghasilkan nilai yang baik pula, tidak terkecuali pendidikan agama Islam. Dewasa ini pelaksanaan pendidikan Islam secara khusus cenderung berjalan monoton dan kurang inovatif dalam penyajiannya. Penelitian ini mengkaji penerapan model direct instruction dalam pembelajaran Aqidah akhlak untuk menghasilkan output yang berkualitas pada siswa di MTsN Darul Ulum Banda Aceh. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa guru Aqidah akhlak melaksanakan proses belajar dengan cara menggunakan model direct instruction. Model ini sangat cocok dilakukan pada mata pelajaran Aqidah akhlak dimana hampir semua materinya memerlukan demonstrasi, salah satunya terkait dengan perilaku. Selain memudahkan siswa dalam memahaminya juga memberikan dampak baik terhadap perkembangan perilaku siswa sebagaimana dipraktekkan guru dan siswa secara langsung bersama-sama. Prosesnya berjalan seimbang antara teori dan praktik yang dilakukan guna mencapai perubahan perilaku siswa. Pembelajaran direct instruction memberikan dampak baik terhadap perkembangan perilaku siswa di sekolah tersebut.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) play a crucial role in developing a knowledgeable and moral generation, yet religious literacy in many pesantren remains focused on the study of Islamic texts and has not been systematically directed toward writing skills. This community service program aims to strengthen the religious literacy of students through digital-based Islamic article writing training at Dayah Madinatuddiniyah Raudhatul Mubaarakah Al Munawwarah in Bireuen. The program was implemented from May to July 2025 and consisted of five main stages: outreach, training, technology implementation, evaluation, and program sustainability. The implementation results showed that students who were previously unfamiliar with formal writing were now able to produce more than five Islamic articles and religious opinions with improved writing structure. Furthermore, more than 30 pieces of visual content and articles were successfully published through the pesantren's blog and social media. The formation of a student writing community and the utilization of digital literacy spaces have strengthened the writing culture and opened up broader opportunities for digital da'wah. Thus, this activity demonstrates that students' writing skills can be significantly improved through structured training and the use of technology. This program strengthens the role of Islamic boarding schools as centers of Islamic education that are adaptive to digital developments while encouraging students to become producers of creative, moderate, and relevant Islamic content to the needs of society.

Abstract

The implementation of urban farming in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) is an innovative strategy for integrating environmental education, food security, and Islamic values. This activity was carried out at an Islamic boarding school in Bireuen Regency, utilizing unproductive land to grow various crops such as vegetables and melons with seeds and seeds. The main objective of this program is to increase the food self-sufficiency of the Islamic boarding school while also shaping the character of the students through practical-based learning and Islamic ecotheological values. The implementation method involves participatory observation, technical assistance, and direct involvement of students in all stages, from soil cultivation, planting, maintenance, and harvesting. The results show an increase in land productivity and food efficiency, with the Islamic boarding school able to meet up to 20% of its internal food needs. Furthermore, this activity fosters ecological awareness, discipline, and responsibility in the students towards the environment. Conceptually, this practice aligns with eco-pesantren theory and the concept of khalifah fil ardh, which emphasizes the role of humans in maintaining the balance of nature. Thus, urban farming has proven effective not only as a solution for food security but also as a model for sustainable character and spiritual education in the Islamic boarding school environment.
