Abstract

The Sky Bridge (Tol Langit) Program is an Indonesian government’s strategic project aimed at digital transformation in the 3T regions (Tertinggal, Terdepan, Terluar - Underdeveloped, Frontline, Outermost). It requires thorough planning and integrated management for its implementation. A specialized unit with a helicopter view perspective is needed to ensure and oversee the alignment of processes. This important role is managed by the Project Management Office (PMO). One of the challenges PMO faces in ensuring an end-to-end process alignment is identifying the appropriate digital resources to support the process. This is where the Enterprise Architecture (EA) framework plays a crucial role as a blueprint for the organization's digital landscape. This reference helps map out existing data, applications, and business processes. Having this blueprint allows PMO to have a holistic view and make targeted decisions. EA also helps identify existing applications that can be integrated with new programs, avoiding unnecessary duplication. The use of ArchiMate, a language for enterprise architecture modeling, assists PMOs in planning digital transformations considering all aspects - business needs, applications, and technology. In short, a well-defined EA framework empowers PMOs to navigate the complexities of digital transformation in the telecommunications sector to ensure the successful implementation of the Sky Bridge Program.

Abstract

This research underscores the diversity and strategic significance of IT Strategy components in shaping the digital transformation and competitive edge of ICT companies. The formulation of IT Strategy documents is pivotal for industries, including ICT companies, as it ensures alignment with business goals and competitive positioning. This study conducts a comprehensive literature review of IT Strategy components within global ICT companies, specifically those specializing in telecommunication network infrastructure. Despite operating within the same sector, each company’s IT Strategy document comprises distinct components. The identified components include Auditor Report, Business Strategy, Leadership, Product/Service Line, Geographic Performance, Research & Development, Partnership & Acquisition, Summary Report, Corporate Governance, Vision & Mission, Financial Statement, Industry Trends, and Business Highlights.  These components are essential for aiding the organization’s IT Strategic Plan and the creation of the company's roadmap. Furthermore, this study identifies PESTLE analysis and the Ansoff Matrix as crucial tools in creating strategic roadmaps tailored to each company’s unique objectives and market conditions.

Abstract

This company specializes in maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for aircraft. MRO activities are crucial to ensuring the safety and reliability of aircraft operations. However, these activities also involve various risks that can affect the performance and reputation of companies in multiple fields. To manage these risks effectively, a system for risk registration and monitoring has been designed for companies in the MRO industry. This paper presents the design of the Risk Register and Monitoring System, which includes the identification, assessment, and management of risks related to the activities of all existing units within companies in the MRO industry. This system is designed to provide a structured approach to risk management, which can help companies in the MRO industry manage risks across all units. The proposed system consists of several components, including automation for performing risk registers and monitoring through a website. This system allows companies in the MRO industry to assess the severity of risks, simplify risk management strategies, and streamline the risk registration process. As a result, companies in the MRO industry can minimize the impact of risks from each unit and enhance efficiency and effectiveness in risk management

Abstract

The dashboard is a tool used to measure and evaluate comparisons of tertiary institutions based on six main aspects, namely teaching, research, industry income, international outlook, and citation scores. (citation score). This research aims to develop an interactive and easy-to-use college ranking dashboard using the Python language. The data obtained will be taken from a website using the scrapping method, and then the data will be combined annually. The method applied in this study uses data life cycle management with essential stages, including collection, processing, analysis, visualization, and data presentation. The results of this study are expected to be able to create a website that can be used by various parties, including prospective students, parents, and researchers who plan to conduct further research. This dashboard lets users obtain relevant information and compare multiple tertiary institutions effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

Despite its growth and resilience over the last decades, the cruise industry faces significant challenges in its strategic, operational, and technology domains. The unique complexity of the industry requires cruise companies to adopt a structured approach to enterprise transformation. To address this problem, this aims to provide an Enterprise Architecture (EA) blueprint for the cruise industry. Using a case study of a leading cruise line, CruiseX, this study analyzes the operational model of the cruise line and apply two industry-leading standards: The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) and the ArchiMate modelling language. This study applies the four core phases of TOGAF Architecture Development Method (ADM) from the initial phase of Architecture Vision (Phase A), through the definition of Business Architecture, Information System Architecture, and Technology Architecture (Phase B to D). The ArchiMate language is utilized to visualize the core business processes, information systems, and technology architecture. By using TOGAF ADM as the technical guidelines and ArchiMate as the modeling language, the result of this study is a blueprint of core business processes, application and data that support each business processes, and the underlying technology infrastructure, that provides a structured framework and serves as an actionable tool for implementing enterprise architecture in cruise industry. This research also extends the application of TOGAF and ArchiMate to the under-research cruise industry domain. The study’s limitations include the reliance on publicly available data, the limited scope of business processes, and the lacks of practitioner validation, suggesting clear directions for future research.

Abstract

Hoaxes and misinformation have become a serious problem in modern society, especially with the rapid development of information technology and social media. The spread of false information can cause great harm, both individually and socially, such as damaging reputation, causing panic, and disrupting social and political stability. This study aims to analyze the role of information technology in combating hoaxes and misinformation. This research uses qualitative research methods. The data collection technique in this research is a literature study. The data that has been collected is then analyzed in three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that information technology has an important role in combating hoaxes and misinformation. Social media platforms and technology companies can use various ways to combat hoaxes and misinformation, such as developing algorithms, verifying facts, working with fact-checking organizations, and providing education to users. However, it is important to remember that information technology is not the sole solution to combat hoaxes and misinformation. Joint efforts from various parties, such as the government, civil society, and academia, are needed to improve digital literacy and build a healthy information culture.

Abstract

Currently, the growth of information technology is rapidly evolving alongside the journey of a business entity, as seen in public accounting firms facing demands to effectively utilize technology to enhance efficiency, productivity, and service quality. Identifying several challenges that may arise in the implementation of information technology strategies, including information security issues, investment costs, complex system integration, and organizational cultural challenges, public ac- counting firms are advised to pay attention to specific aspects in designing and implementing information technology strategies, such as selecting appropriate technology, employee training, and periodic performance evaluation, which are also necessary. Thus, by adopting the right information technology strategy, public accounting firms can improve their operational effectiveness, enhance client satisfaction, and strengthen their competitive position in the rapidly changing and competitive market. The IT Balanced Scorecard can serve as an effective framework in creating IT strategies because the distribution of strategies is evenly spread across all parts of the company, enabling the company to develop not only from a financial perspective but also from a non-financial one. The implementation of IT strategies is expected to help accounting firms achieve the goals, vision, and mission of the company and assist companies in implementing or planning IT strategies.
