Abstract

Mahasiswa Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (PGMI) diarahkan menjadi seorang guru MI yang berkompeten, namun faktanya tak semua mahasiswa berminat menjadi guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis minat mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah terhadap profesi guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa program studi PGMI UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya angkatan 2019 dan 2020 berjumlah 138 orang. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data penelitian yaitu melalui penyebaran angket dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan atau verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 45 orang atau 33% masuk kategori sangat berminat, 86 orang atau 62% masuk kategori berminat, 6 orang atau 4% masuk kategori cukup berminat, dan 1 orang atau 1% masuk kategori tidak berminat, data pendukung berasal dari indeks prestasi kumulatif yang bagus dan dominasi nilai A+ pada mata kuliah microteaching. Dari hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya dominan yang berminat dengan profesi guru.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of using Wordwall educational games on the mathematics learning motivation of third-grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. The study applied a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation involving 22 students. Three students representing high, moderate, and low motivation levels were selected for in-depth analysis. The findings revealed that the use of Wordwall had a positive effect on improving mathematics learning motivation, with the most significant contributions seen in the indicators of perseverance and interest in learning. Highly motivated students showed improvements across all indicators, moderately motivated students experienced gains in learning interest, while students with low motivation demonstrated initial engagement but still required additional guidance. The design of the "box-opening" and "spinning wheel" games effectively encouraged active interaction and cooperative student participation. These results suggest that Wordwall can serve as a technology-based pedagogical strategy relevant to enhancing student learning motivation. This study also contributes to the growing body of literature on the effectiveness of digital educational media in primary education, particularly in mathematics learning through interactive games.Keywords: Wordwall; learning motivation; mathematics; Madrasah Ibtidaiyah; educational games.
