Abstract

Masa pandemi mengharuskan untuk membatasi diri berinteraksi dengan banyak orang. Dimana interaksi dalam pembelajaran untuk anak usia dini sangatlah penting demi pertumbuhan dan perkembangannya. Di RA Darun Najah tepatnya kelompok B1 banyak anak yang memiliki kesejahteraan psikologis baik dalam pembelajaran daring maupun luring. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa kesejahteraan psikologis anak di RA Darun Najah dapat terbentuk karena para guru di RA Darun Najah memperhatikan kenyamanan dan kesenangan anak saat disekolah yang dapat dilakukan dengan berbagai cara untuk menumbuhkan kesejahteraan psikologis yang positif bagi perkembangannya.

Abstract

This study discusses parenting styles in assisting students’ learning with blended learning model in RA. Sunan Ampel, Pasuruan. During the Covid-19 pandemi, RA Sunan Ampel implemented a blended learning model by combining online and offline learning. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire distributed online to 11 parents of RA students as respondents. The results showed that almost parents have a authoritative parenting style indicated by parents’ attitude in engaging children to learning while playing. Meanwhile, such parents also applied permissive parenting characterized by parents’ intervention on children’s activites and no force for children to learn. Besides that, parents with authoritarian showed that they obey strict rules and punishments when children broke the rules. Above all, such uninvolved parenting implemented during the covid-19 indicated by negligent attitude of parents in engaging students’ learning.

Abstract

Minat baca siswa di MI Yaphiston Surabaya masih perlu didorong peningkatannya diindikasikan dengan sedikitnya prosentase siswa yang mengunjungi perpustakaan dan mengikuti kegiatan pembiasaan membaca. Hal ini dikarenakan keterbatasan buku bacaan non teks untuk peserta didik dan kurangnya pelibatan warga sekolah dalam menumbuhkan budaya baca siswa. Dengan pendekatan Community Based Research (CBR), proses pendampingan ini lebih menitikberatkan pada peran aktif komunitas sekolah dalam menyusun perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi hasil pendampingan ini untuk mewujudkan perubahan positif yang diharapkan. Tindak lanjut dari inisiasi ini adalah langkah aksi yang terwujud dalam bentuk: (1) pelatihan strategi pengembangan budaya baca dan pengelolaan perpustakaan bagi warga madrasah, (2) pelaksanaan program budaya baca di MI Yaphiston diantaranya adalah Iqra’ fis Shabah, Word board activity, kata estafet, perpustakaan terbuka, dan kunjung perpustakaan, dan (3) terbentuknya kepengurusan perpustakaan. Berbagai upaya tersebut berkontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan minat baca siswa yang diindikasikan dengan peningkatan pengunjung perpustakaan yang mencapai 90% (24-25 siswa dari 169 siswa melakukan kunjungan ke perpustakaan per hari). Lebih dari itu, madrasah semakin berdaya dalam mengimplementasikan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The improvement of reading competence in Indonesia has not yet reached its maximum point. Indonesia’s achievements in a number of surveys also show poor results. Nevertheless, several cities in East Java have started to initiate the development of the literacy through various programs as an act of reflection on the findings of the previous surveys. In Surabaya, some programs have been initiated by goverment to cultivate literacy such as reading corner book review, book discussion, reading community, and others. These programs are aimed to increase reading interest (reading habit) of children in Surabaya. By using the Community Based Research (CBR) method, this research observed innovation as new programs about reading habit in the 27 Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Surabaya. The author found that there are five stages of innovation (knowledge, persuasion, decision, implementation, and confirmation) were conducted by Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Surabaya. The result indicates that all the stages have been done well by the library manager in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Surabaya. This can be seen from several aspects such as of the knowledge of the importance of literacy for their students, awareness to change for better future, and a decision to implement some new programs in the development of reading habit

Abstract

Abstract: Such published research provided the concept of formative assessment but the current practices of assessment for language learning digital based were weak. Therefore, this study intended to analyse and synthesize the results of relevant literature from any previous research to build a conceptual framework of using formative assessment and feedback in the digital age to promote a greater impact on reading achievement at elementary school. The literature selection was carried out using Publish or Perish (PoP) and screened by Convence.org program to records the eligible’ literature. A total of 8 articles were included in the analyses. The analyses of the text revealed that technology plays a role in enhancing communication and feedback among teachers, students, and peers, even though parents. In an online class of language learning, teachers could conduct an assessment interactively with various learning activities and such various digital-based instruments. It provided teachers current information about students’ reading development through dynamic formative feedback cycles including teaching, assessing, and adjusting diverse instruction to meet students’ need in learning.Abstrak: Penelitian yang dipublikasikan tersebut memberikan konsep penilaian formatif tetapi praktik penilaian saat ini untuk pembelajaran bahasa berbasis digital masih lemah. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk menganalisis dan mensintesis hasil literatur yang relevan dari penelitian sebelumnya untuk membangun kerangka konseptual menggunakan penilaian formatif dan umpan balik di era digital untuk mempromosikan dampak yang lebih besar pada prestasi membaca di sekolah dasar. Seleksi literatur dilakukan dengan menggunakan Publish or Perish (PoP) dan disaring oleh program Convence.org untuk mencatat literatur yang memenuhi syarat. Sebanyak 8 artikel dimasukkan dalam analisis. Analisis teks mengungkapkan bahwa teknologi berperan dalam meningkatkan komunikasi dan umpan balik antara guru, siswa, dan teman sebaya, bahkan orang tua. Dalam pembelajaran bahasa kelas online, guru dapat melakukan penilaian secara interaktif dengan berbagai kegiatan pembelajaran dan berbagai instrumen berbasis digital tersebut. Ini memberikan informasi terkini kepada guru tentang perkembangan membaca siswa melalui siklus umpan balik formatif yang dinamis termasuk mengajar, menilai, dan menyesuaikan instruksi yang beragam untuk memenuhi kebutuhan siswa dalam belajar.

Abstract

Abstract: The outcome of social studies such as critical thinking, social responsibility, and informed-decision making, was not easily defined and complex because it was qualitative improvement. Moreover in the context of digital learning based, in which teachers’ social presence sometimes could not replace in a model of online learning. Despite this fact, surprisingly, few studies about personalized learning emphasized how social interaction could be built onto online teaching and learning process. Therefore, this study aim to re-conceptualizing cooperative learning in case of online learning is needed. To build the framework, this study conducted literature review. This study revealed that personalized learning helped students to connect and engaged to their peers, teachers, and community outside to strengthen students’ social competences.Abstrak: Hasil IPS seperti berpikir kritis, tanggung jawab sosial, dan pengambilan keputusan berdasarkan informasi, tidak mudah didefinisikan dan kompleks karena merupakan peningkatan kualitatif. Apalagi dalam konteks pembelajaran berbasis digital, di mana kehadiran sosial guru terkadang tidak bisa menggantikan model pembelajaran online. Terlepas dari fakta ini, yang mengejutkan, beberapa studi tentang pembelajaran yang dipersonalisasi menekankan bagaimana interaksi sosial dapat dibangun ke dalam proses belajar mengajar online. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkonseptualisasikan kembali pembelajaran kooperatif jika diperlukan pembelajaran online. Untuk membangun kerangka tersebut, penelitian ini melakukan studi literatur. Studi ini mengungkapkan bahwa pembelajaran yang dipersonalisasi membantu siswa untuk terhubung dan terlibat dengan rekan-rekan mereka, guru, dan komunitas di luar untuk memperkuat kompetensi sosial siswa.

Abstract

Abstract: Now that the spread of Covid 19 is still high and the teaching and learning process should be continued to be conducted at homes, but it seems that some teachers –in this case EYL teachers– are not ready to integrate various digital platforms. It is necessary for us to respond to the need of investigating technology readiness of English for young learners teachers in teaching during this Covid 19 pandemic. It is strongly important to reveal the teachers’ technology readiness as it plays vital role, especially during this pandemic —when the only thing that the teachers and the students can do is interacting online. Without having adequate literacy in technological thing, it is impossible to create teaching and learning process which can facilitate both the teachers and the students. Based on the result of initial survey, it could be stated that some teachers might not be ready in integrating the technology in their virtual classrooms; ending up in either providing lots of assignments or creating monotonous activities, which of course break the nature of teaching English for young learners. Hence, it is expected that by conducting this study, the researchers could assist some of the teachers to be more aware with their technology readiness, so that they could serve the students better, and the students could also learn the material more interesting and meaningful.

Abstract

Based on preliminary study, it was found that 62% of students at the seventh grade of MTs Wachid Hasyim Surabaya were not able to answer inferential and referential question to fulfil reading comprehension. Therefore, this study used classroom action research by implementing Survey, Question, Read, Recite, dan Review (SQ3R) reading strategy to improve students’ ability in reading comprehension. This research was conducted in two cycles. The result showed that 83% students were able to answer inferential and referential question to understand the text at the first cycle and 97 % at the second cycle. It means that there was an increase of 14% from the first cycle to the second cycle. Meanwhile, 79% students had reached mastery learning to rewrite the text on students’ own language.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengelaborasi implementasi pembelajaran daring yang dilakukan di jenjang Sekolah Menengah Pertama, di MTs Miftahul Ulum Beru, Lamongan. Kondisi pandemi covid-19 berdampak pada pola pembelajaran yang dapat diterapkan guru selama masa pandemi Covid-19 yakni pembelajaran daring dengan mempertimbangkan aspek kesehatan dan keselamatan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif yang terfokus pada implementasi proses pembelajaran berbasis online dan preferensi media yang lebih disukai peserta didik dalam pembelajaran daring. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa lebih menyukai pembelajaran secara tatap muka (face to face) daripada system daring. Namun demikian, selama pembelajaran daring, 63.2 % siswa cenderung lebih menyukai penggunaan whats’app sebagai tool dalam pembelajaran karena mudah dalam penggunaan dan berbiaya murah. Akan tetapi, selama pembelajaran online, terdapat beberapa kendala yang dialami oleh murid, guru dan orang tua dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar online yaitu sinyal yang kurang mendukung dan penambahan biaya kuota internet. Terlebih lagi, ketika pembelajaran lebih banyak bersifat penugasan, ketuntasan belajar siswa kurang menjadi perhatian sehingga berdampak pada capaian belajar siswa

Abstract

This article examines how to design Individual Learning Program (Program Pembelajaran Individual-PPI) to help students with special needs (Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus-ABK) to develop their potentials and to maximally resolve their learning problems. PPI is a learning program that has purpose to support ABK for being in inclusive class. The program is adapted from Individualized Educational Program (IEP) model –developed in America educational system- that contains of some learning events or programs to ABK for specific learning goal. One of inclusive schools that succeed developing PPI is Badrus Salam Islamic Elementary School, Surabaya. Based on PPI documents developed by Badrus Salam Islamic Elementary School team, steps for arranging PPI are: identifying strength, weak, characteristic and interest as the assessment on ABK, formulating specific information from assessment result to make students profiles that describe their need supports to increase students’ performance, designing learning method, and arranging evaluation method as indicator of students’ learning success. Whereas result shows that 75% ABK are able to optimize their learning ability indicated by their behaviour change. It is because teachers have some strategies to overcome it, such as: giving assignment regularly, designing media based on students’ characteristic, asking question related to learning process, and increasing teachers, peers, and parents’ role in learning process. From the explanation above, it is concluded that curriculum development in Badrus Salam Islamic Elementary School is in a standard manner, nonetheless there is special adaptation related to students’ individual needs.
