Abstract

Students' learning motivation on the topic of parabolic motion is still low because the current learning tends to focus on the teacher so it is less interesting and students are less active. This research aims to develop physics learning media on the topic of parabolic motion using the scratch application to increase students' learning motivation. The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) which follows the 4D model (Four-D Models). The instrument used was a feasibility questionnaire which was assessed by 1 expert examining lecturer and 4 prospective physics teacher students. The product feasibility test results from the presentation aspect were 3.10 by the expert examiner lecturer and 3.24 by the students, the content aspect was 2.66 by the expert examiner lecturer and 2.95 by the students, the linguistic aspect was 2.87 by the expert examiner lecturer and 3.02 by students, and the motivation aspect was 3.23 by expert examiners and 3.33 by students. Overall, an average score of 2.96 was obtained by the assessment of expert examiners and 3.13 by prospective physics teacher students. Based on the analysis results obtained, physics learning media on the topic of parabolic motion using the scratch application to increase students' learning motivation is included in the feasible category. Scratch learning media is worthy of being tested or applied to schools. Keywords: parabolic motion, motivation, scratch

Abstract

The research in this article aims to review the available literature on integrating ethnoastronomy-based NASE on the understanding and trust of teachers, students, and society. The method used in this study is a literature review from 2010-2022, which strictly discusses the challenges in learning astronomy and astronomy in local wisdom with two questions that need to be answered, namely (1) what kind of challenges are faced when conducting astronomy learning and does NASE influence astronomy learning? (2) Does local wisdom relate to astronomical learning, and how does the community's understanding and beliefs relate to Ethnoastronomy? The results of the literature review stated that NASE has a positive influence on the challenges of learning astronomy, NASE has a relationship with local wisdom that discusses astronomy, and this research also shows that the relationship between local wisdom and astronomy with NASE can increase people's understanding and trust in Ethnoastronomy from each culture they have. This article recommends that astronomy-based NASE integrated learning with local wisdom can be applied in various countries, especially astronomy learning in Indonesia, so that the culture owned is preserved due to the times and can be used for learning.

Abstract

This study aims to develop AI-based learning media integrated with Yogyakarta's local wisdom, particularly gudeg, in physics education. The research aims to facilitate 21st-century skills and students’ physics identity in the 5.0 era through socially and culturally relevant media. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4D model, including define, design, and development stages. Observations and interviews were conducted at two high schools in Yogyakarta to identify learning needs. We developed three AI-based learning products: an e-book, an e-module, and an e-worksheet. Expert feasibility assessment showed very feasible results, with the e-book achieving the highest score (2.15), followed by the e-worksheet (2.05) and e-module (2.00). The use of these media increased students' interest, understanding, and skills in critical thinking, creativity, and physics identity. Integrating technology and local wisdom in physics learning media also positively contributes to education quality and supports Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy, SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals).
