Abstract

The research in this article aims to review the available literature on integrating ethnoastronomy-based NASE on the understanding and trust of teachers, students, and society. The method used in this study is a literature review from 2010-2022, which strictly discusses the challenges in learning astronomy and astronomy in local wisdom with two questions that need to be answered, namely (1) what kind of challenges are faced when conducting astronomy learning and does NASE influence astronomy learning? (2) Does local wisdom relate to astronomical learning, and how does the community's understanding and beliefs relate to Ethnoastronomy? The results of the literature review stated that NASE has a positive influence on the challenges of learning astronomy, NASE has a relationship with local wisdom that discusses astronomy, and this research also shows that the relationship between local wisdom and astronomy with NASE can increase people's understanding and trust in Ethnoastronomy from each culture they have. This article recommends that astronomy-based NASE integrated learning with local wisdom can be applied in various countries, especially astronomy learning in Indonesia, so that the culture owned is preserved due to the times and can be used for learning.

Abstract

The paper discusses the possible ways' of improving the quality of education in Indonesia in the future. It starts with the background describing die reality of the education nowadays and the need of making changing in any aspect of education. To yield better products of education, there must be improvements in the process of education, in which each components of education system should interact one another. Besides, the purpose of education should be clear and inclusive which does not only concern in the cognitive side but also in affective and psychomotor sides. After setting the purpose of education there must be a change in education paradigm as well. We have to see that education is a means to make students mature in their life. To generate change, innovations must be made by any parties of education process. Especially teachers should always innovate their teaching method so that the result of their teaching process will be maximum. Last but not least, education should ensure the output and the outcome. When the aspects above mentioned are well carried out, education will not only yield better output, which has good grades or marks, but it will also yield better outcome which will not find difficulties in getting the first job.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to comprehend and describe the application of project-based learning integrated STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), or PjBL-STEM, to the study of fluid dynamics in order to improve critical thinking skills. Utilizing qualitative data collection methods, such as literature studies, is the research methodology used in this project. Theoretical sources that are relevant to the issues identified are searched for to collect data for this study. The data obtained is subsequently examined using descriptive analysis techniques. According to the data analysis, the N-gain score revealed an improvement in students' critical thinking skills. These conclusions are also supported by other pertinent investigations. According to a review of the research, using PjBL-STEM to study fluid dynamics may enhance critical thinking skills.

Abstract

In general, the competence of students who learn to dare is assessed to have decreased. The form of learning that can be used as a solution in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 is distance learning. This research method is a quantitative descriptive study that aims to describe and analyze student responses regarding the application of the LMS-based POE2WE learning model. The research respondents were 233 students from two universities who came from the Physics Education study program, D4 Nursing and Professional Nurses in Tasikmalaya City. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires and observation. The questionnaire consisted of 15 positive statements related to the application of the LMS-based POE2WE learning model in supporting distance learning in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. The results of the analysis obtained that from 233 students the average result was 4.01. This means that the average student agrees that the application of the LMS-based POE2WE Learning Model provides a good response and. This is an indication that the implementation of learning with the POE2WE model can be carried out in various learning backgrounds. The problems faced are related to increasing quotas and poor internal networks.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a problem–based learning video delivered through Google Sites on the topic of light waves and to examine its practicality and effectiveness in improving students’ mathematical representation and critical thinking skills. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, from analysis to evaluation. Feasibility assessments were conducted by physics lecturers and teachers, while field implementation involved students of MAN 3 Sleman in the 2024/2025 academic year, selected through cluster random sampling. Research instruments consisted of pretest–posttest assessments and questionnaires, and data analysis included expert validation, students’ responses, and multivariate effectiveness testing. The results indicate that the developed instructional video is feasible, practical, and effective in enhancing mathematical representation and critical thinking skills. The novelty of this study lies in integrating problem–based learning into an interactive video format organized within a structured Google Sites ecosystem. Practically, the product enables teachers to use the video as a problem-triggering medium and as support for students’ independent learning processes.

Abstract

An e-LKPD based on guided inquiry has been developed using liveworksheets on the subject of heat and its transfer. The primary objective of this paper is to generate an inquiry-based e-LKPD that is demonstrably feasible, practical, and effective in enhancing students' critical thinking ability and mathematical representation. The methodology adopted for this development study adheres to the ADDIE model. The sampling procedure employed in the study utilized the cluster random sampling technique. Data acquisition was carried out using both testing and non-testing instruments. For the analysis of the gathered data, several techniques were applied: Aiken's V statistic was used for instrument validation, SBI was applied to the student response questionnaires, and the effectiveness analysis utilized MANOVA and GLM. This study’s main results are: (1) the inquiry-based e-LKPD utilizing Liveworksheet is suitable for deployment in advancing critical thinking and mathematical representation, as confirmed by assessments from expert validators, practitioners, and peers. (2) the developed e-LKPD is operationally practical for fostering these skills, evidenced by feedback collected through student response questionnaires concerning the learning medium. (3) the inquiry-based e-LKPD is demonstrably effective in enhancing students' critical thinking and mathematical representation, based on the improvement observed in students' pre-test and post-test scores following the use of the developed resource. A distinctive feature of this research lies in the seamless integration of the guided inquiry e-LKPD with the Liveworksheet. This integration allows students access to the learning material at any time, thereby contributing to the advancement of their critical thinking and mathematical representation ability.
