Abstract

Reading manakib is a tradition that has been carried out for generations by the Banjar people. Reading manakib is believed to be a good tradition, because religion and culture are two elements that continuously interact and influence each other. The reading of manakib from an anthropological perspective does not arise by itself, but through a long process and intersects with the concept of shifts in society and culture. This study aims to examine the meaning of manakib according to the Banjar community. This study is a field study (field research) which examines the tradition of reading manakib of figures who are believed to be Wali Allah in the beliefs of the Banjar people. Primary data in this study is information related to the tradition of reading manakib in the Banjar tradition, while secondary data is supporting information related to the study. The result of this research is that the practice of reading manakib in the Banjar community tradition is believed to be a religious practice that has social effects. People also believe that their lives will be more spacious and blessed, thus making them better individuals in living their lives. Despite the doubts and even distrust of certain parties regarding the power of manakib, Evans-Pritchard stated that the way to understand society must be from within, not through literature or observation as an outsider. In order to gain a complete understanding of a phenomenon, researchers must enter and live together with the community they are researching. The Banjar people’s reading of the manakib of Wali Allah is in line with the principle of cultural da'wah which elaborates local culture as a means of da'wah.

Abstract

The rising prevalence of anxiety and depression has led to an increasing interest in alternative therapeutic methods, especially those rooted in spiritual and religious practices. Quranic therapy, based on recitation and reflection upon the verses of the Quran, has been increasingly recognized for its potential in treating mental health conditions. This research aims to explore the effectiveness of Quranic therapy in alleviating anxiety and depression. The study utilizes a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methods. Participants were exposed to a structured regimen of Quranic recitation and reflection for a period of six weeks. Psychological assessments were conducted before and after the intervention, including scales for measuring anxiety and depression. The findings indicate a significant reduction in symptoms of both anxiety and depression, with participants reporting improvements in their overall emotional well-being. Moreover, qualitative feedback highlighted the spiritual connection and calming effects experienced by participants during Quranic therapy sessions. The study concludes that Quranic therapy can serve as a complementary approach in mental health treatment, promoting spiritual healing alongside traditional psychological therapies. Further research is needed to understand the mechanisms behind this therapeutic effect and its long-term benefits.

Abstract

Internalization of self-confidence character in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning as implemented by SMPN 6, SMPN 23, and SMP IT Nurul Fikri Banjarmasin is by using cooperative learning methods, namely lecture, question and answer methods, discussions, assignments, demonstrations, and sociodramas. All of these methods involve students actively, including in expressing opinions, asking questions and discussing in learning, so that good communication is established between students and students and students and teachers. Through this process, students' self-confidence character is formed, such as the growth of mutual respect, respect for the opinions of other friends, discipline, and students' self-confidence in conveying ideas and concepts, and being straightforward in conveying opinions when discussing or communicating the results of their work and ideas to teachers and friends. Internalization of students' self-confidence character in co-curricular and extracurricular activities at school also helps in forming students' self-confidence. Internalization of self-confidence character through co-curricular activities for students, namely giving students roles in flag ceremony activities, joint tadarus activities, AKSI which displays various student talents and skills, joint tadarus, the Qur'an recitation, reading of Maulid Habsyi and Commemoration of Islamic Holidays, public speaking, graphic design, gardening, and futsal.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strengthening of the quality of human resources to build religious moderation in the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Sullamut Taufiq, Banjarmasin and the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nurul Islam, Banjarmasin. This research used a qualitative case study, where data were obtained from interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results of the study show that strengthening the quality of human resources to build religious moderation is carried out through strengthening national commitment through flag ceremonies and learning activities, accommodating to local culture shown in habituation activities and acculturation of madrasa activities, curricular learning, habituation activities, the commemoration of Islamic holidays. This research has implications for the importance of human resources in the success of religious moderation activities in schools so that the spirit of nationalism, patriotism and inclusivism is optimally awakened.

Abstract

Abstract: Highlighting the need for integration of local wisdom into education and community development in the digital era, in order to build resilience amidst rapid change. By adopting a multicultural approach, communities are expected to be able to face digital disruption without losing their identity and traditional values ​​that have been inherited. This study explores the synthesis between Sundanese paribasa and Toraja's eternal philosophy as an effort to principle life values ​​in understanding and maintaining local wisdom values ​​in the era of digital disruption. With the rapid development of information technology, many traditional values ​​are threatened, so an approach is needed that can harmonize cultural heritage with the demands of the times. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The data collection methods used are interviews, observations, and literature studies on Sundanese paribasa and Toraja philosophy and their relevance in the context of modern life. The results of the study show that both Sundanese paribasa and Toraja philosophy emphasize the importance of love for nature, social solidarity, and balance in life, which are very relevant in facing the challenges of globalization and digital disruption. The synthesis of these two cultures can be used as a basis for building ethical and responsible characters in using technology, as well as strengthening community identity. This research is expected to be a reference for the development of education and policies that support the preservation of local wisdom amidst the rapid flow of change. Keywords:. Dengan mengadopsi pendekatan multikultural, masyarakat diharapkan dapat menghadapi disrupsi digital tanpa kehilangan identitas dan nilai-nilai tradisional yang telah terwariskan.Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi sintesis antara paribasa Sunda dan falsafah abadi Toraja sebagai upaya untuk prinsip nilai hidup dalam memahami dan mempertahankan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal di era disrupsi digital. Dengan pesatnya perkembangan teknologi informasi, banyak nilai-nilai tradisional yang terancam keberadaannya, sehingga diperlukan pendekatan yang dapat mengharmonisasikan warisan budaya dengan tuntutan zaman. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Adapun metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi, dan studi pustaka mengenai paribasa Sunda dan falsafah Toraja serta relevansinya dalam konteks kehidupan modern. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa baik paribasa Sunda maupun falsafah Toraja menekankan pentingnya kecintaan terhadap alam, solidaritas sosial, dan keseimbangan hidup, yang sangat relevan dalam menghadapi tantangan globalisasi dan disrupsi digital. Sintesis kedua budaya ini dapat dijadikan sebagai dasar untuk membangun karakter yang etis dan bertanggung jawab dalam menggunakan teknologi, serta memperkuat identitas masyarakat.
