Abstract

The implementation of management system in health services is common as an attempt to improve the quality. In Indonesia, the most commonly used health insurance is the service issued by Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Social or BPJS (Social Security Administration) that collaborates with many hospitals such as Datu Pancaitana Regional Public Hospital in Bone Regency. This research uses qualitative approach with a case study as the research design. The research data are obtained through in-depth interviews with The Head of Medical Records Department, some staffs of the administrative service as well as patients of BPJS users in the Emergency Unit. In addition to that, this research collects its research data through field observations and a review of related previous studies. The findings reveal that the hospital management applies the following strategies in the division of administrative services: (1) planning through trainings and workshops provided for the human resources as well as the formulation of RUK and RPK; (2) organising through trainings involving a number of institutions within Datu Pancaitana Regional Public Hospital in Bone Regency; (3) actuating through an execution of administrative services for BPJS users; (4) controlling through supervision facilitated by the hospital management; (5) evaluating that addresses the process of human resources quality promotion through databased information trainings. In conclusion, the findings of this research are hoped to provide insights that can be useful for the hospital management specifically the emergency unit to improve their performance in providing services for BPJS users. They can start by assessing the development and training, program execution and evaluation aspects as well as by improving the facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

Hospitals play a strategic role in improving public health through high-quality healthcare services. To achieve this goal, hospitals must develop strategic policies covering various aspects, such as services, infrastructure, and human resource management. The effective implementation of strategic policies requires thorough planning, resource optimization, and adaptation to scientific and technological advancements. This study aims to examine the integration of strategic policies in the development of Faisal Islamic Hospital Makassar, using a qualitative approach with a case study method. The findings indicate that the hospital implements long-term strategic planning oriented toward community needs, enhances the competence of medical personnel, and develops infrastructure and technology to improve service efficiency. Additionally, funding strategies involving collaboration with various stakeholders and compliance with national health regulations are crucial factors in hospital management. However, in practice, the hospital faces several challenges, including budget constraints, a shortage of specialist medical personnel, and regulatory changes requiring quick adaptation. To address these challenges, Faisal Islamic Hospital Makassar adopts policy-strengthening strategies, such as enhancing cooperation with the government and private sector, optimizing digital technology, and formulating flexible internal policies that remain aligned with national regulations.

Abstract

Dalam rangka peringatan Hari Pendidikan Nasional, Institut Teknologi dan Kesehatan Tri Tunas Nasional bekerja sama dengan Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan dan Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa (BEM) melaksanakan kegiatan aksi sosial donor darah dengan tema “Give Blood and Keep World Beating” memberikan kesempatan bagi civitas akademika Institut Teknologi dan Kesehatan Tri Tunas Nasjonal dan masyarakat untuk berpartisipasi melakukan donor darah. Tujuan kegiatan donor darah adalah untuk menyediakan persediaan darah yang cukup bagi mereka yang membutuhkannya, seperti pasien di rumah sakit akibat kecelakaan, operasi, atau kondisi medis lainnya. Donor darah memiliki manfaat langsung bagi penerima, seperti membantu penyembuhan dan menyelamatkan nyawa. Selain itu, bagi pendonor sendiri, proses ini dapat membantu menjaga kesehatan tubuh dengan memperbaharui sel darah merah dan mengurangi risiko penyakit jantung. Hasil kegiatan ini didapatkan 17 kantong darah, Jumlah calon pendonor lebih dari 17 orang namun pada tahap pemeriksaan kesehatan Pra-Donor terdapat calon peserta yang tidak memenuhi persyaratan sebagai pendonor. Saran untuk kegiatan selanjutnya, bagi calon pendonor diharapkan menjaga kondisi tubuh sebelum melakukan donor darah sehingga memenuhi kriteria sebagai calon pendonor darah.
