Abstract

The phenomenon of temper tantrums indicates an indication of inhibited emotional development in children which makes children express the negative emotions they feel through aggressive behavior. Therefore, good communication behavior is needed from parents, especially mothers as the closest scope owned by children to deal with the condition of children who experience tantrums. This study aims to determine the motives, experiences, and behavior of mother-child communication in dealing with children who experience temper tantrums, as well as to know the meaning of the phenomenon of temper tantrums for mothers. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological study approach and in collecting data using interview techniques. The main informants in this study were five mothers who had experience in handling their children who experienced temper tantrums at an early age. The results showed that the because of motives were due to the mother's communication behavior in dealing with children who experienced temper tantrums at an early age, including mothers having sensitivity and awareness towards children who experienced speech delay. The existence of several conditions that could trigger tantrum behavior in children to appear, such as events that occurred or experienced by the child is not in accordance with his expectations. In addition, through the communication behavior that is carried out, the mother has hope as an in order to motive so that in the future the child can communicate well. There are several communication behaviors that are carried out by mothers in dealing with the aggressive behavior of children they receive, such as inviting communication and giving understanding, providing opportunities and space for children, giving physical touch, not leaving children alone, scolding, and cutting off children's behavior, tweaking, and applying patterns. routine communication with children every day. Meanwhile, mothers interpret the phenomenon of temper tantrums that occur in children as something that makes them sad, tired, stressed, and embarrassed. However, mothers think this is also a test and part of the child's development process that they have to face and go through.

Abstract

Previous research shows that reputation and image is very important to the continuity and sustainability of the organizations. Recently, it can be easily damaged by the uncontrolled message circulation that spread on social media. Consumers tend to mislead by untrusted source of information causing losing their trust and give immediate impact to sales decline. One of the vulnerable industry that regularly facing this situation is in food and beverage. Dough Lab that known for their artisan cookies products as the object of this case study has to deal with the incident which video spread on social media that went viral within second. This study aims to examine in how Dough Lab respond the crisis that can lead to damage reputation by utilizing social media as source of information to external stakeholders in particular customers. Data collections through depth interview with the representative of corporate communications of the company supported by literature and previous research. Results shows the social media are able to be an essential role in responding crisis communications since they can be as source of information of the company to the stakeholders. However, their credibility is being considered since it delivered in their official social media which can fully controlled by the company. After all, the company should maintain to communicate transparent with the consumers and raise public intention to create user generated content to increase the credibility of the message and source of information.

Abstract

The feature video Quiet Quitting: The Balance Within explores the quiet quitting phenomenon, where employees work within their responsibilities without extra effort for work-life balance. This study analyzes the use of suggestive narration in its script. A qualitative descriptive analysis with a script study approach examines its application within the Three-Act Structure (introduction, development, resolution). The findings show that suggestive narration effectively enhances audience engagement through meaningful diction, figures of speech (metaphor, personification, hyperbole), and visuals that reinforce the narrative. The introduction presents quiet quitting through personal experiences, the development illustrates its psychological impact on workers, and the resolution offers expert insights as solutions. This study confirms that suggestive narration strengthens audience comprehension of social issues and deepens emotional connection to the story
