Abstract

Introduction: It is estimated that there are 175.4 social media users in Indonesia and around 160 million people are active on social media. It was found that around 64% of teenagers interacted with social media excessively, causing internet addiction, especially Instagram..Method This study is an observational analytic study with a cross sectional design. Sampling purposive sampling, data analysis with Somer's correlation test Results: There is a significant relationship between the intensity of using Instagram and Fear of Missing Out with a value of p=0.001, p<0.005. The intensity of Instagram users is moderate (41.7%), FoMO is in the low category (56.7%) and is found more in women (58.3%). Conclusion: There is a relationship between the intensity of Instagram usage and FoMO, even though the strength is weak but has a positive correlation

Abstract

This study used quantitative approach with data collection technique using aquestionnaire. The puirpose of the study is to analyze the influence of pedagogicalcompetence, professional competence and work motivation on improving theperformance of English teachers with the status of Civil Servants of State Junior HighSchools who have been certified educators throughout Tegal Regency partially andsimultaneously. Data analysis used descriptive linear regression analysis to test R squareand hypothesis testing partially and simultaneously with the t test and F test. The resultsof the study using the t test (partial) proved that pedagogical competence, professionalcompetence and work motivation each had a positive and significant effect on improvingteacher performance.

Abstract

Perkembangan kognitif berkaitan dengan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan pada otak yang telah terjadi sangat pesat pada trimester ketiga kehamilan sampai usia 2 tahun. Kekurangan gizi sejak bayi hingga umur 2 tahun dapat mengakibatkan sel otak berkurang 15-20% yang mengakibatkan anak. Prevalensi kekurangan gizi di Propinsi Sumatera Utara sebesar 5,4%, sangat kurus 4,6% dan sangat pendek 13,2%. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui riwayat status gizi dan kemampuan kognitif anak usia pra sekolah. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan ialah deskriptif kuntitatif dengan desain kohort retropsektif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh anak usia pra sekolah sedang mengikuti pendidikan formal anak usia dini. Teknik pengambilan sampel puposive sampling dengan besar sampel sebanyak 79 anak yang dihitung menggunakan rumus data proporsi. Hasil penelitian didapat anak usia pra sekolah berjenis kelamin laki-laki lebih banyak dari perempuan. Anak usia pra sekolah yang mengikuti pendidikan formal usia dini berusia 6 tahun lebih banyak dari 5 tahun. Riwayat status gizi yang normal lebih banyak dari yang memiliki riwayat status gizi tidak normal. Kemampuan kognitif anak yang normal lebih banyak dari pada yang tidak normal. Diharapkan orang tua agar lebih memperhatikan pola asuh anaknya agar kebutuhan asupan gizi pada anak untuk menunjang pertumbuhan dan perkembangan kognitif pada anak.

Abstract

Early childhood period is in dire need of good nutrition. Poor nutritional statuscan cause delays in children's cognitive development. Nutrition report global (2020), statedthe whole countryexperiencing nutritional problems. Globally, the most children with malnutrition problems are in Sub-Saharan Africa.Indonesia is experiencing a triple burden of disease, namely malnutrition, obesity and stunting. The aim of the study was to analyze the effect of nutritional status on the cognitive development of pre-school aged children. This research approachis a retrospective cohort analytic study with a sampling technique using purposive sampling. This study was conducted using data from 79 children aged 5-6 years from early childhood education school students. Nutritional status is determined using anthropometry by measuring body weight and height based on the child's age. Assessing children's cognitive abilities using instruments from the Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE) questionnaire. The results showed that 72.2% of children's nutritional status was normal and 72.2% of children's cognitive development was normal. Data analysis was based on the chi-square test, p-value = 0.011 (p <0.05), with a relative risk value of 2.591. Shows that nutritional status has an effect of 2.591 times on the cognitive development of pre-school age children.
