Abstract

[IMPLEMENTATION OF HIRA AND HAZOP METHODS TO MINIMIZE POTENTIAL HEALTH AND SAFETY HAZARDS IN THE FURNITURE INDUSTRY] Customer satisfaction is the ultimate goal to be achieved by every company. Production factors play an important role in achieving the company's goals. However, every place, process, equipment, attitude, and work environment has potential hazards and occupational risks. This research seeks to identify potential hazards and formulate strategies to minimize risks on industrial production floors in the furniture sector. The indication of the level of work accidents that often occur encourages the importance of this research. This study found 33 potential hazards in the production process, consisting of 37% in the high category, 24% in the extreme and medium categories, and 15% in the low category. Work equipment and facilities and the work environment were the most common sources of risk, followed by production machinery and worker attitudes. This study emphasized that the factors of equipment and work facilities and a supportive environment can prevent work accidents. Based on the HAZOP method, this research offers several strategies to minimize the level of risk in the production process of furniture products based on risk source factors. Keywords: Hazard Analysis; Risk Assessment; Work Accident; HIRA; HAZOP

Abstract

This study analyzed the critical factors in the supply chain management of the Palmyra handicraft industry in Central Lombok, Indonesia, using a SWOT-AHP methodology. The research aimed to identify strategic directions to enhance the industry's development by addressing strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The findings highlighted key strengths such as increasing product demand, availability of raw materials, and high product quality. Conversely, weaknesses included limited financial capital, inadequate marketing capabilities, and the absence of a centralized production facility. Opportunities identified encompassed access to partnerships and capital, institutional support, and the application of appropriate technologies. However, threats such as raw material scarcity, declining interest among artisans, and rising supply chain costs posed significant challenges. The research concluded that prioritizing strengths and addressing critical weaknesses were vital for sustaining and growing the Palmyra handicraft industry. These insights provided actionable strategies for stakeholders to enhance competitiveness and operational efficiency.

Abstract

Online shopping behaviour is increasingly having significant implications for businesses in the freight forwarding sector. The convenience offered by the marketplace also encourages increased consumer demand for goods. Good handling of consumer goods is the key to the success of shipping companies such as PT ABX Limpung. However, the balance of worker workload is essential to study to create an ergonomic work atmosphere. This study aims to measure the level of mental workload for courier workers at PT ABX Limpung using the NASA-TLX method. The results of the workload measurement revealed that the cognitive workload of courier workers was at a very high level. The measurement indicator that has the highest value is task-related. Therefore, this research underscores the urgent need to improve courier workers' tasks. These improvements are crucial for maintaining a healthy work environment and ensuring the well-being of the workers. The practical implications of these findings for management are significant, as they can guide the development of methods and the expansion of the study's scope, address the limitations of this research, and contribute to the logistics and freight forwarding field.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of financial mathematics and artificial intelligence (AI), focusing on credit risk analysis within the financial industry. Traditionally, financial mathematics has played a central role in modeling and assessing credit risk. However, recent technological advancements have enabled a more synergistic relationship between financial mathematics and AI, particularly through the use of machine learning. This integration enhances risk assessment by leveraging classification algorithms to uncover complex patterns in historical data patterns that are often difficult to detect using conventional methods. Through a case study in the financial sector, this research explores the application of classification algorithms to better understand customer behavior, evaluate credit history, and predict the likelihood of future loan repayment. In the realm of machine learning, classification techniques are essential for processing large volumes of data and generating accurate risk predictions. By combining the analytical rigor of financial mathematics with the predictive power of machine learning, this study aims to develop a robust and adaptive model for credit risk analysis one capable of responding to dynamic market and economic conditions, and improving the overall decision-making process in credit assessment.

Abstract

Supply chains must be able to adjust quickly in a dynamic and uncertain global business environment. The VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity) era demands that organisations and their alliances be proactive in anticipating and responding to change, rather than merely reacting to it. Supply chain agility is a crucial component that enables businesses to adapt, innovate, and maintain their competitive edge in rapidly changing market conditions. Building supply chain agility is therefore essential for maintaining business continuity and ensuring customer satisfaction. Previous literature from 2019 to 2025 was analyzed using a content analysis approach that aims to discuss the role of strategic leadership in building Supply Chain Agility (SCA). In this context, the role of innovation and digital transformation is shifting the paradigm from proactive to transformative. Dynamic capabilities serve as amplifiers, magnifying the positive effects of strategic leadership on supply chain agility. Resource orchestration bridges the gap between leadership decisions and the supply chain's achieved level of agility. This study affirms organisations need to consider building agility in conjunction with technological investment and process restructuring. However, organisations must prioritise the quality of strategic leadership that is capable of navigating uncertainty. Strategic leaders drive innovation, resilience, and cross-boundary collaboration within supply chains. Keywords - Digital Transformation, Resource Orchestration, Strategic Leadership, Supply Chain Agility, VUCA.
