Abstract

The bamboo craft manufacturing industry is currently experiencing rapid growth. PT. Dekor Asia Jayakarya is one of the companies engaged in bamboo crafts located in D.I. Yogyakarta. PT. Dekor Asia Jayakarya has seen an increase in demand, which has led the company to expand its production capacity. This increase in production is accompanied by the addition of warehouses to accommodate products before export. The new warehouse has triggered several issues, including confusion in the incoming goods flow, the absence of designated lines for forklifts and pedestrians, and poor organization of products from production, resulting in congestion of items. Customer satisfaction with the products encompasses various aspects, including fulfillment speed, accuracy, pricing, quality, and more. The Wukirsari warehouse often struggles to meet the target fulfillment time for customer orders. This failure to meet targets has led to a decline in consumer trust in Dekor Asia. Therefore, the Wukirsari warehouse requires a performance evaluation to identify the indicators causing delays in order fulfillment.

Abstract

Online shopping behaviour is increasingly having significant implications for businesses in the freight forwarding sector. The convenience offered by the marketplace also encourages increased consumer demand for goods. Good handling of consumer goods is the key to the success of shipping companies such as PT ABX Limpung. However, the balance of worker workload is essential to study to create an ergonomic work atmosphere. This study aims to measure the level of mental workload for courier workers at PT ABX Limpung using the NASA-TLX method. The results of the workload measurement revealed that the cognitive workload of courier workers was at a very high level. The measurement indicator that has the highest value is task-related. Therefore, this research underscores the urgent need to improve courier workers' tasks. These improvements are crucial for maintaining a healthy work environment and ensuring the well-being of the workers. The practical implications of these findings for management are significant, as they can guide the development of methods and the expansion of the study's scope, address the limitations of this research, and contribute to the logistics and freight forwarding field.

Abstract

This study discusses switching intention in the rapidly growing Indonesian local skincare industry, which is marked by excessive promotional claims (overclaims), negative online reviews (negative e-WOM), and consumer dissatisfaction. The objective of this research is to analyze the influence of these negative factors on switching intention, with alternative attractiveness serving as a moderating variable. The study employed a quantitative approach using an online survey involving 151 users of local skincare products selected through purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using WarpPLS 8.0. Overclaims, negative e-WOM, and dissatisfaction have a significant positive effect on switching intention. Alternative attractiveness strengthens the influence of negative e-WOM and dissatisfaction, but weakens the effect of overclaims. These findings highlight the importance of honest product claims, effective online reputation management, and consumer satisfaction in minimizing the risk of brand switching in a market filled with attractive alternatives. This study makes a theoretical contribution by demonstrating the role of alternative attractiveness, a factor that has rarely been examined in the local skincare industry

Abstract

Seiring perkembangan industri yang sangat pesat, seringkali sektor manufaktur menggunakan teknologi dalam mengembangkan usahanya. Untuk mencukupi pesatnya perkembangan dalam teknologi perlu adanya kemampuan untuk mengoperasikan perangkat lunak atau sofware simulasi. Pelatihan penerapan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi bagi masyarakat ini diselenggarakan dengan tujuan utama untuk meningkatkan kompetensi mahasiswa, khususnya dalam bidang simulasi tata letak industri. Kegiatan ini dirancang untuk mengatasi kesenjangan antara kurikulum perkuliahan dan kebutuhan dunia industri yang terus berkembang, khususnya dalam pemanfaatan teknologi simulasi berbasis perangkat lunak. Adapun tujuan spesifik dari pelatihan ini meliputi: (1) meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa mengenai konsep dasar dan penerapan simulasi tata letak; (2) mengembangkan keterampilan dalam merancang tata letak sistem industri secara sistematis dan Visualisasi dalam bentuk 3D yang dihasilkan melalui perangkat lunak Flexsim sangat bermanfaat dalam memberikan gambaran yang lebih realistis dan rinci mengenai proses dan alur kerja di lingkungan industri. Pelatihan ini dimulai dengan penyampaian informasi dan edukasi mengenai konsep dasar serta penerapan model simulasi tata letak menggunakan Flexsim melalui kegiatan daring selanjutnya untuk pelaksanaan pelatihan simulasi menggunakan sofware Flexsim untuk pembuatan layout industri dilaksanakan secara hybrid, yaitu melalui kombinasi metode daring dan luring, guna memberikan fleksibilitas dan aksesibilitas yang lebih luas bagi seluruh peserta. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan Flexsim ini berhasil meningkatkan kompetensi peserta dalam memahami konsep simulasi. Para peserta menunjukkan antusiasme dan kesungguhan yang tinggi selama proses pelatihan berlangsung. Tingkat pemahaman peserta terhadap materi tergolong baik, yang terlihat dari inisiatif mereka untuk membeli perangkat komputer atau laptop sendiri agar dapat mempelajari perangkat lunak Flexsim secara mandiri di rumah.

Abstract

This study discusses the impact of overclaim practices in local skincare products on Gen Z consumer behavior at Universitas Selamat Sri. Overclaim, which refers to excessive claims not fully supported by scientific evidence, has been shown to reduce consumer trust and influence purchase decisions. This research uses a descriptive-verification quantitative approach to examine the effect of overclaim on trust, brand image, and purchase decisions, while also assessing the role of trust as a mediating variable. The regression analysis results indicate that overclaim significantly negatively affects Gen Z consumer behavior. Meanwhile, trust and brand image have a significant positive impact on shaping purchase decisions. The mediation test also shows that trust significantly mediates the effect of overclaim on consumer behavior. The findings highlight the importance of information transparency and evidence-based marketing practices for the local skincare industry to build consumer trust and avoid negative responses from Gen Z.
