Abstract

In general, the clothing sorting stage is to only separate clothes based on type, color, material and function. Unclean and hadas are not included in the sorting priority. Guaranteeing the quality of products or services is also very clearly stated in article 7 point d of Law no. 8 of 1999 concerning the obligations of business actors to guarantee the quality of goods and/or services produced. In order to prevent fraud by laundry business actors who do not comply with the quality, level, composition, especially the processing process, style or mode as stated on the label or description of goods and/or services, it is necessary to formulate SOPs as a guideline for running a business. The aim of this research is the need for industrial laundry SOPs that consider thaharah, in order to provide confidence and guarantee the quality of service results and raise awareness of consumer protection so that honesty and responsibility can grow. This research has a qualitative approach and validates the SOP document. From the preparation of the SOP, it was recorded that there were 30 activities with a total time of approximately 23,400 seconds or 6.5 hours, the time required was longer than before. Apart from that, there are changes in the sorting process, namely the unclean classification in the first inspection and the color classification in the second classification. The validation result is that the SOP that has been created is in accordance with the thaharah principle. Furthermore, this research can measure work productivity with the aim of increasing efficiency and effectiveness in work processes and time.

Abstract

Abstract

Small companies that do not pay attention to product quality will experience marketing problems such as decreased product sales. Therefore, quality control is required for each product. Banana chips, for example, are considered very difficult to manufacture and often experience product defects. The cause of product failure is a weakness of a business today. The cause of this failure is unknown until now. Banana stick production based on data from August to September 2020 shows the number of defective products is approximately 28,875 kg of the total production, which is 323 kg. Therefore this research is intended to determine the factors that affect production defects in banana sticks. While the benefit of this research is to be able to control the factors that affect defects in banana sticks and can later increase profits and work productivity. The Six Sigma method is one of the tools commonly used in product quality control, where the concept of this method is to set quality standards of up to 3.4 rejects per million possibilities. Based on the results of banana chip defect data, it was found that the type of defect was sluggish with a percentage of 61% and the type of defect was burnt with a percentage of 39%. Factors that affect the two defects include human factors, materials, machines. The suggestion from this research is that of the three most influencing factors are humans, materials and machines. Companies need to plan improvements in stages so that in the future these products can achieve lean production.

Abstract

CV. XYZ produces motor spare parts from various types of metal, spare parts that are often ordered by customers include bostep, underbone, flange and many more variations of motor spare part products that are produced. The data shows the effectiveness of the production of CV. XYZ in 2021 which is on average 100%, this proves that the achievement of production against the production plan cannot be achieved 100%. So there is often an imbalance in the production line. The purpose of this study was to determine the highest efficiency, lowest balance delay and optimal number of workstations from the production line resulting from the two methods, namely Ranged Position Wight (RPW) and Largest Candidate Rule. The type of research used in this research is comparative research. By comparing the percentage of efficiency, balance delay and number of workstations from the two methods, namely Ranged Position Wight (RPW) and Largest Candidate Rule. The data shows that the largest candidate rule method has an efficiency percentage of 107% for bostep, 85% for underbone and 94% for flange respectively. Then the smallest resulting balance delay is also generated from the production line design using the largest candidate rule method with 0.6 minutes each for bostep, 2.4 minutes for underbone and 4.3 minutes for flange. Besides that, the design of workstations using the largest candidate rule method, 2 workstations each for the bostep, 2 workstations for the underbone and 3 work stations for the flange..

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the need for material standardization and to formulate process optimization strategies in the production of banana chips at UD. FAVORIET. Quality instability was identified during the period of August–September 2021, indicated by a total defect weight of 28.875 kg from a total production volume of 323 kg. The defects consisted of burnt chips (11.375 kg) and non-crispy or soft chips (17.5 kg). The analysis was conducted by evaluating the standards of raw materials (banana type, ripeness level, slicing thickness), process parameters (oil temperature, frying time, stirring method), and operator-related factors. The results show that high defect levels were caused by inconsistent material quality, variations in slice thickness, unstable frying temperature, and insufficient operator control. Optimization recommendations include standardizing slice thickness at ±2 mm, selecting bananas with 70–80% ripeness, maintaining frying temperature at 150–160°C, setting frying duration between 10–12 minutes, and providing regular operator training. The implementation of these standards is expected to improve production stability and significantly reduce defect rates.
