Abstract

Abstract The role of media in the learning process is an activity carried out by two parties, namely the teacher as facilitator and students as learning intermediaries to convey cognitive, affective and psychomotor messages. The method used in the research is the library method. This research studies and examines various kinds of literature regarding references. Be it in the form of books, articles, journals, and other information related to the discussion in this journal. Media is anything that can convey messages through various channels, such as stimulating someone's thoughts, feelings and desires so that it can encourage the creation of effectiveness in adding new information to someone. In terms of helping students or students find it easy to obtain information in their learning, there are many factors that cause the learning process to be successful if teachers can utilize media as a tool to carry out teaching optimally. Teachers are responsible for the success of learning activities. Therefore, along with advances in science and technology, teachers are required to keep up with the times. Abstract

Indonesia has significant potential for seaweed production; however, its productivity remains low compared to other countries, hindering optimal sector development. This issue arises from ineffective traditional cultivation methods and insufficient government policies. North Buton Regency, as one of the third-largest seaweed producers in Southeast Sulawesi, faces challenges in seaweed cultivation, particularly due to the use of traditional methods that yield low production and contribute to environmental pollution. This community service program aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of the Lapininda Jaya Joint Business Group in seaweed cultivation techniques through the implementation of the Floating Net Cage (KJA) method. Through participatory training, participants learn to create and manage KJA, select quality seeds, and apply effective management practices. Evaluation results indicate a significant increase in participants' understanding of seaweed and cultivation techniques, with average comprehension scores rising from 22.4 to 26.4 post-training. Additionally, the implementation of KJA has proven to enhance seaweed production yields, providing economic benefits and promoting environmental sustainability. This program not only benefits the partner group but also strengthens institutional capacity and management of aquatic resources.

Abstract

Mapping of nature tourism is crucial for providing spatial information and supporting regional development. One way is to map the distribution of tourist areas in Polewali Mandar Regency. The purpose of this study is (1) to describe the potential tourist attractions, (2) to map GIS-based tourist areas for regional development. Explorative descriptive methods are used in this study. Data was collected with observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The data obtained are analyzed through ways of reducing data, presenting data, and verifying data and data descriptions as research reports. This study shows the results, namely: (1) a map in the form of a thematic map of the potential of tourist objects from spatial data sources in Binuang District, (2) Description of the potential tourist attractions that are seen from the attribute data, namely the existence of tourist facilities, the number of tourists who do visits, as well as efforts to develop attractions in Binuang District. The existence of information on mapping tourist attractions can provide spatial information. The results show that some interesting tourist attraction areas will be very good in supporting tourism in the area, especially in the Binuang District, Polewali Mandar Regency.AbstrakPemetaan wisata alam sangat penting untuk memberikan indormasi spasial dan dapat mendukung pembangunan wilayah. Salah satunya adalah dengan pemetaan sebaran kawasan wisata yang ada di Kabupaten Polewali Mandar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu (1) Membuat deskripsi untuk potensi objek wisata yang ada, (2) Memetakan kawasan wisata berbasis SIG untuk pembangunan wilayah. Metode deskriptif eksploratif digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis melalui cara mereduksi data, menyajikan data, serta melakukan verifikasi data dan deskripsi data sebagai laporan penelitian. Penelitian ini menunjukkan hasil yaitu: (1) Peta yang berupa peta tematik potensi objek-objek wisata dari sumber data spasial yang ada di Kecamatan Binuang, (2) Deskripsi potensi objek wisata yang terliat dari data attribute yakni keberadaan fasilitas wisata, banyaknya wisatawan yang melakukan kunjungan, serta upaya pengembangan objek wisata di Kecamatan Binuang. Adanya informasi pemetaan objek wisata ini dapat memberikan informasi spasial. Hasilnya yang diketahui bahwa ada beberapa kawasan objek wisata yang menarik akan sangat bagus dalam mendukung wisata di daerah khususnya di kecamatan Binuang Kabupaten Polewali Mandar.
