Abstract

The North Sumatra Youth and Sports Service is one of the government agencies responsible for youth services, partnership services, sports services and supporting services as regulated by law in North Sumatra Province. Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim of modeling and mapping the business processes of the North Sumatra Youth and Sports Department in accordance with Minister of Youth and Sports Regulation. By using Business Process Model Notation (BPMN) for business process notation and flowcharts for notation in compiling SOP documents. This research begins with assessing SOP needs, planning and preparing business processes, developing business processes, then verifying the business processes created, compiling SOPs and carrying out SOP verification and SOP validation. The results of this research are in the form of an optimum and efficient event business process model, as well as recommendations for improvements that can be implemented by the Youth and Sports Department.

Abstract

Homecoming is an activity undertaken by nomads and migrant workers to return to their hometowns. In Indonesia, going home is synonymous with annual traditions starting from religious and national holidays such as Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, Christmas and New Year. However, going home is often accompanied by traffic jams and confusion, which can be a nuisance for travelers. Therefore, a possible solution to overcome this problem is to develop a mobile application to support homecoming. This research focuses on developing an Android-based homecoming assistance application using the Scrum methodology. The aim is to create technological solutions that make it easier for Indonesian people to return home every year. The development process is divided into sprints, and each sprint lasts two weeks. Each sprint includes planning, developing, and evaluating features such as real-time maps, traffic information, stop locations, and emergency response systems. The development team works closely with stakeholders to ensure that the application meets user needs. The research results show that the use of the Scrum methodology increases development efficiency and improves the quality of the final product. The resulting application prototype received a positive response in user testing. 90% of participants found the app useful when returning home. In conclusion, the development of homecoming assistance applications using the Scrum methodology has produced an effective and user-friendly solution to help travelers. This research opens up opportunities for further development and large-scale implementation in the future.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk, fungsi, dan latar belakang terjadinya variasi bahasa di media sosial Twitter. data diperoleh dengan metode simak bebas libat cakap, teknik catat, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode agih dan metode padan. Hasil dari penelitian ini sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian, yaitu 1) wujud variasi bahasa terdiri dari lima bentuk: kata, frase, klausa, kalimat, dan bentuk baru; 2) fungsi variasi bahasa: a) menarik perhatian mitra tutur; b) menjalin hubungan, c) berfungsi untuk memuji dan mengejek, d) menunjukkan perasaan dari penutur, e) sebagai alat untuk meminta mitra tutur melakukan seuatu, f) menujukkan rasa akrab, g) meringkas tuturan, h) menghaluskan tuturan, i) menambah kosakata, j) menunjukkan perbedaan bahasa yang digunakan pengguna Twitter, k) sebagai referen; dan 3) latar belakang terjadinya variasi bahasa disebabkan oleh dua faktor. Pertama, faktor internal berupa proses fonologi dan morfologi. Kedua, faktor eksternal berupa situasi tutur yang informal, perbedaan usia pengguna Twitter, perbedaan tujuan dalam bertutur, dan perbedaan tingkat pendidikan dan pekerjaan.

Abstract

Pengenalan wajah (face recognition) merupakan suatu pengembangan dari teknologi deteksi wajah. Pengenalan wajah manusia merupakan salah satu turunan dari sistem biometrik yang menggunakan pola wajah manusia sebagai objek identifikasi. Sistem tersebut menggunakan pola wajah manusia yang terdapat dalam sistem basis data sebagai penyimpanan, kemudian akan melakukan perbandingan dengan gambar yang akan diuji. Sistem pengenalan wajah memiliki beberapa kendala, seperti sulit untuk mengenali objek dengan tingkat pencahayaan berbeda pada saat proses pengambilan gambar. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang terjadi akibat variasi tingkat cahaya, dikembangkan perangkat lunak dengan menerapkan metode Singular Value Decomposition (SVD). Pada projek ini metode eigenface cukup baik dalam melakukan pengenalan wajah. Bahkan dengan ukuran foto wajah yang cukup kecil (48 × 48), metode ini masih mampu untuk mengenali wajah dua orang yang sama. Proses pelatihan dan pengujiannya juga relatif singkat. Teknik ini dinilai efektif dalam mengenali foto wajah dengan ukuran yang kecil dan jumlah yang banyak.   Kata Kunci - Dekomposisi Nilai Singular, Eigenface, Pengenalan Wajah

Abstract

Pengelolaan tugas akhir mahasiswa di Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara masih dilakukan secara konvensional sehingga rawan terjadi kesalahan, hilangnya data, dan keterlambatan informasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem informasi berbasis android untuk membantu pengelolaan tugas akhir mahasiswa Sistem Informasi Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasi dan wawancara sedangkan metode pengembangan sistem menggunakan perancangan system aplikasi. Perancangan sistem dimulai dari membuat desain aplikasi yang sesuai untuk mengetahui permasalahan yang ada. Selanjutnya dilakukan perancangan basis data, struktur menu, input dan output serta antarmuka aplikasi android. Hasil perancangan berupa aplikasi android yang dapat digunakan mahasiswa untuk pengajuan judul, pembuatan laporan kemajuan, dan konsultasi. Dosen pembimbing dan admin prodi juga dapat memantau progress mahasiswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah perancangan aplikasi android yang dirancang dapat membantu pengelolaan tugas akhir mahasiswa secara baik dengan berbagai fitur pendukung seperti verifikasi laporan dan pengiriman notifikasi otomatis melalui smartphone.
