Abstract

The researcher conduct this study motivated by the results of students’ achievement on Economic daily tests are mostly still below average or as known as Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM). This research aims to find out the influence of teachers’ competence on students’ learning achievement with learning motivation as a mediator in economic subjects. The researcher use survey as the research method. To obtain the data, the researcher use the questionnaire as the main instrument in this research. The research objectives in this research are as follows: learning achievement; teacher competence; and learning motivation. Meanwhile, the research objectives are Class X students SMAN 2 Kuningan with 139 samples. For the analysis technique, the researcher use multiple regression analysis with mediation. The results of the analysis show: (1) a general description of learning achievement is in the sufficient category, teacher competency is in the moderate category, also learning motivation is in the moderate category; (2) teacher competency has a positive influence on students’ learning achievement; (3) learning motivation partially mediates the influence of teacher competence on students’ learning achievement in the economic subject

Abstract

This study aims to enhance the logical thinking skills of students through the application of the mind mapping method in studying microeconomics, namely on the topic "Consumer Behavior." Utilizing a quasi-experimental research design with a one-group pretest-posttest model, the study was carried out on 18 students of the Economics Education Study Program of Kuningan University. Data was collected through tests of logical thinking and classroom observations and analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. Outcome of the analysis was that the average score increased from 62.17 in pre-test to 75.67 in post-test. There was an improvement in the median, mode, minimum, and maximum as well as the decrease of the standard deviation, which meant that student learning outcomes became symmetrical. The Wilcoxon test provided a p-value of 7.63 × 10⁻6 (< 0.05), which confirmed that there was a considerable difference between post-test and pre-test scores. A measure of effect size 0.88 shows an extremely significant effect of the Mind Mapping technique on the students' logical thinking capability. From observations in the classrooms, it was also revealed that students improved in identifying information, establishing cause-and-effect relationships, classifying data, developing evidence-based arguments, and drawing logical conclusions. Therefore, it can be argued that the use of the Mind Mapping learning technique significantly enhances students' critical thinking ability through the reinforcement of knowledge and concepts, thereby their performance in microeconomics, particularly in the topic of consumer behavior. Abstract

Salah satu tugas yang dapat mencerminkan sikap profesional guru adalah melaksanakan kewajibannya dalam membuat perencanaan pembelajaran. Pentingnya menyusun perencanaan pembelajaran adalah untuk mengarahkan guru dalam merancang sebuah pembelajaran yang disenangi siswa. Rancangan pembelajaran tersebut sangat memungkinkan dilakukan variasi oleh guru. Sebagai bentuk perencanaan kegiatan pembelajaran dalam Lesson Study adalah menyusun action plan. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam mendesain perencanaan pembelajaran pada implementasi kurikulum merdeka melalui penyusunan action plan dalam rangkaian kegiatan Lesson Study. Kegiatan pengabdian ini berbentuk Pelatihan, yaitu proses terencana untuk memodifikasi sikap atau perilaku pengetahuan, keterampilan melalui pengalaman belajar. Tujuannya adalah untuk mencapai kinerja yang efektif dalam setiap kegiatan atau berbagai kegiatan. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada Rabu, 08 Mei 2024 di Gedung Sekolah Pascasarjana Universitas Kuningan. Kegiatan dihadiri oleh kepala sekolah dan perwakilan guru dari SMPN 1 Maleber, SMPN 2 Cimahi, dan SMPN 4 Ciawigebang sejumlah 21 Guru. Sekolah-sekolah tersebut merupakan sekolah penggerak angkatan 3 jenjang SMP di Kabupaten Kuningan. Action plan yang dibuat oleh peserta sudah sesuai dan dapat diimplementasikan di sekolahnya masing-masing. Dalam action plan sudah jelas dicantumkan tanggal pelaksanaan lesson study. Dan ini merupakan keberlanjutan kegiatan pangabdian ini menjadi kegiatan penelitian.
