Abstract

This research aims to investigate the language variations found in Surabaya children's storytelling activities using a pragmasocolinguistic approach. Through participant observation and text analysis of stories told by children, this research explores how Surabaya children use their language in the context of storytelling activities. Research findings show that Surabaya children present rich variations in the use of vocabulary, grammar, and language style, which are influenced by social and contextual factors. Surabaya children tend to use words that are familiar to their daily experiences, and choose sentence structures that suit the situation and audience. External factors such as the influence of mass media are also visible in children's language use. This research provides in-depth insight into how Surabaya children use their language in storytelling activities, as well as the implications of these findings in the context of children's education and language development. In conclusion, understanding the language variations of Surabaya children in storytelling can make an important contribution to the development of effective teaching strategies and the enrichment of local culture .. Abstract

This research identifies five functions of speech acts in netizen comments on Instagram regarding the Brisia Jodie sexual harassment case. The declaration function is reflected in netizens' opinions, while the representation function can be seen from the reality expressed. Expressions of emotion show an expressive function, while advice to related parties reflects a directive function. Commitment to support or reject certain actions indicates a commissive function. The analysis also revealed four conversational implicatures. This research provides an in-depth understanding of netizens' responses to sensitive issues such as sexual harassment on social media, as well as the importance of ethical communication. The implications include developing an understanding of how netizens communicate on social media, designing more effective communication strategies, and increasing awareness of the importance of communicating responsibly. The results of this research provide valuable insight into netizens' communication behavior in responding to sensitive issues on social media. The implications of these findings can help in overcoming communication challenges in the context of sexual harassment cases and similar social issues in the future. Abstract

Pemanfaatan cerita interaktif digital sebagai media pembelajaran bahasa yang inovatif telah menjadi topik penting dalam pendidikan modern. Artikel ini mengeksplorasi pendekatan inovatif dalam pembelajaran bahasa dengan memanfaatkan teknologi cerita interaktif digital. Pendekatan ini menawarkan pengalaman pembelajaran yang aktif dan terlibat, serta memungkinkan personalisasi pembelajaran sesuai dengan kebutuhan individu. Cerita interaktif digital juga meningkatkan motivasi dan keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran bahasa melalui aspek visual dan audio yang kuat serta tantangan dan reward yang terintegrasi. Meskipun cerita interaktif digital menawarkan berbagai manfaat, penggunaannya juga menghadapi tantangan seperti aksesibilitas teknologi dan integrasi dalam kurikulum. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi lebih lanjut potensi, tantangan, dan implikasi praktis pemanfaatan cerita interaktif digital dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran bahasa di era digital ini. Dengan memahami urgensi pemanfaatan teknologi ini, penelitian yang mendalam dan menyeluruh tentang topik ini menjadi krusial dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran bahasa di era digital.
