Abstract

This research aims to increase the learning interest of students XI - 8 SMA Negeri 5 Medan. This research is Collaborative Class Action Research, carried out in 2 cycles. The sample in this research were students in class XI – 8 odd semester 2024/2025 academic year with 35 students. The data collection techniques used are Observation and documentation. Based on the research results in cycles 1 and 2, students can complete the project assignments given and present them. So, it can be concluded that there was an increase in students' interest in learning from Cycle I and Cycle II by 20% after implementing the Project Learning learning model on the material Between Colonialism and Imperialism.

Abstract

This research aims to measure how effective the problem-based learning model is in increasing the understanding of class XII-2 students at SMA Negeri 5 Medan regarding World War II. Using the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method in two cycles, this research involved learning results tests and observations to collect data. The results of research using a problem-based learning model in class XII-2 students at SMA Negeri 5 Medan showed a significant increase in learning outcomes for World War II material. This is evidenced by the increase in the average student test score from 78 in the first cycle to 82 in the second cycle. Apart from that, observations also show an increase in student learning activities, such as group discussions and information seeking.

Abstract

This research aims to increase students' interest in learning in the subject of History by implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model assisted by Canva media. The research was conducted in class X.9 of SMA Negeri 5 Medan. The method used is classroom action research (PTK) with two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. Data was obtained through observation, interviews, and student learning interest questionnaires. The research results show that the application of the PBL learning model assisted by Canva media is able to increase students' interest in learning significantly. Using Canva media in the learning process makes the material more interesting and easy to understand, so that students are more actively involved in learning. This research suggests implementing the PBL learning model with the support of digital media such as Canva as an effective strategy in increasing students' interest in learning, especially in History subjects.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' learning motivation in history subjects by implementing of STAND Type Cooperatif learning model assisted by Kahoot Media at SMA Negeri 5 Medan. This research method adopts a qualitative approach by collecting data through questionnaires and observing student activities.. Cycle I showed poor results with a presentation of 60%, but in cycle II there was a significant increase with a presentation of 93%. The findings from this study show that application of this learning model and media has succeeded in increasing students' motivation in learning history subjects.

Abstract

This research aims to increase student motivation in studying in class XI-6 students at SMA Negeri 5 Medan in studying the history of colonialism and imperialism through the use of the Wordwall web media. The classroom action research method was applied in three stages. The research results showed a significant increase in students' learning motivation after using Wordwall. In the second stage, student learning motivation reached 81%, an increase from 50% in the initial stage. These findings indicate that Wordwall has the potential to be an effective tool for increasing student interest and engagement in history learning.

Abstract

This research aims to increase the motivation to learn history in class XI-1 students at SMA Negeri 5 Medan through the application of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model assisted by emoji puzzle card media. The research method uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques carried out through observation, motivation questionnaires and documentation. The research results showed that there was a significant increase in student learning motivation after implementing the TGT model with emoji puzzle card media. In cycle I, poor results were obtained with a percentage of 60%. In cycle II, the increase in motivation was increasingly visible with a percentage of 90%. In conclusion, the TGT model using emoji puzzle cards has proven successful in increasing students' motivation to learn history.
