Abstract

This study delves into the shift from the traditional National Examination (NE) to the computer-Based National Assessment (CBNA) in Indonesia, focusing on the intricate implications for Islamic education. This study aims to explore the perceptions of teachers and students regarding the elimination of NE and the implementation of ANBK as a national standard. The research method used was qualitative, with interviews with principals, teachers, and students as the primary informants. While recognizing the benefits, the study highlights significant challenges, particularly alignment with Islamic values, infrastructure limitations, and concerns in remote regions. The findings, drawn from the experience of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ogan Ilir, serve as a microcosm of broader challenges, offering valuable insights for policymakers, educators, and stakeholders. The implications are extensive and multifaceted and require a balanced approach that preserves the unique identity of Islamic education. The study acknowledges limitations, including potential bias in participant sampling and regional focus, and recommends further research to provide a more comprehensive view. Collaboration and dialogue are vital for a successful transition that aligns with Islamic education's traditions and principles.

Abstract

The rapid influx of globalisation that reaches millennials and gen z, the next generation of Indonesia, certainly has a negative impact that must be dealt with. One of the negative impacts is that local cultures are increasingly abandoned and forgotten, to answer these problems, of course, must use a special strategy so that students in schools understand and can apply local cultures. The Pancasila student profile is one of the flagship programmes in the Merdeka curriculum which aims to shape student character, one of the themes contained in the Merdeka curriculum is the theme of local wisdom which discusses local cultures, so it is hoped that it can help students understand the values in local culture in their area. This research uses a qualitative research approach with a field research method. Data collection techniques in this study used interviews and previous research as references and reinforcements. While the data analysis technique uses miles and hubermans theory with data condensation, data presentation, conclusion drawing and verification. The values in Javanese manners culture consist of the value of respect and courtesy, the value of Silih asih, silih asah and silih asuh, the value of speaking ethics and the value of simplicity. The four values can be obtained by students through the project of strengthening the profile of Pancasila students on the theme of local wisdom, so it is hoped that the Javanese manners culture taught in Javanese language subjects is expected to help strengthen the profile of Pancasila students.

Abstract

In the digital era, basic education needs to be revitalized to be renewable and in line with the times. One of the efforts that can be made is to utilize digital technology in learning. The Pancasila student profile program is project-based and can stimulate students to think critically and creatively. However, conventional learning is still found, so it is important to revitalize learning to provide novelty and improve learning. This study aims to reveal revitalization in basic education from conventional to digital-based learning to increase students' critical and creative thinking. This research uses a qualitative research approach with a Field Research research method. Data collection techniques in this study used interviews. Interviews were conducted with the principal, class teachers, and students. Research sources were selected through a purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique used in this study uses thematic analysis theory to understand the data, compile codes, and look for themes. The location of this research is SDN Wijilan Kulonprogo Yogyakarta. Revitalization of digital-based learning is carried out by providing training to teachers, preparing supporting facilities and infrastructure and controlling and evaluating. Conventional learning needs to be revitalized because it only focuses on the teacher and makes students less active in learning, so the term digitization in learning emerged. Digitalization in learning can positively impact and make students think critically and creatively because it has advantages such as learning being more varied, students being more active in participating in learning, helping students improve their technological skills, and diverse learning resources. Teachers in the Pancasila student profile program strongly feel these advantages, as they can make students think critically and creatively.

Abstract

The characteristics of psychomotor skills include sensory skills, alertness, and the ability to act in a complex manner. The psychomotor skills of students in learning Indonesian can be seen from the students' proficiency in writing stories. This study aims to describe how to create a design and assessment instrument in the psychomotor domain in Indonesian language learning. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative research with library research as the type of research. Based on the research method and type, the data sources are books and scientific articles related to the topic. The results of the study show that the design and assessment instrument in the psychomotor domain in Indonesian language learning can be done in the form of tests and non-tests. Test assessment instruments can be conducted when the learning process has taken place, and non-test instruments can be conducted while the process is ongoing, namely when students are practicing

Abstract

Indonesia, as a multicultural nation with diverse cultures, ethnicities, races, and religions, emphasizes the importance of tolerance and mutual respect among its people to prevent conflicts. One approach to achieving this is by enhancing religious moderation values. In the context of elementary schools and madrasah ibtidaiyah, the Pancasila Education (P5) and Pancasila and Religious Education (P5-PPRA) programs play a central role. The aim of this study is to compare the effectiveness of the P5 and P5-PPRA programs in improving religious moderation. This study employs a quantitative approach with data collection through questionnaires. Respondents consisted of 100 students and 8 teachers at Kanisius and Madrasah Ibtidaiyah during the 2023/2024 academic year. The data were validated and analyzed using the Paired Sample T-test. The analysis results showed a significant value (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant relationship between P5 (at Elementary Schools) and PPRA (in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah) in enhancing religious moderation. The average score of P5 is 74.30, while P5-PPRA is 87.20, with an average difference of 12.91. This indicates that the P5-PPRA program is more effective in strengthening religious moderation in schools. This finding suggests that students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah exhibit higher tolerance and appreciation for diversity compared to students at Kanisius schools. These findings can be utilized by policymakers and educators to improve religious moderation programs by adopting and integrating P5-PPRA elements, thereby creating a more inclusive and tolerant learning environment.

Abstract

Twenty-first century education demands learning approaches that cultivate students’ critical, reflective, and adaptive thinking skills to respond to rapid changes in society. Although deep learning has been widely promoted as a strategy to support transformative education, many elementary schools in Indonesia still rely on conventional, teacher-centered methods, leading to limited student engagement, shallow understanding, and minimal opportunities for reflection and inquiry. This gap between the expected transformative learning practices and the realities of classroom implementation provides an opportunity to investigate how deep learning can be applied effectively at the primary level. This study aimed to explore the implementation of a deep learning system in elementary education and examine its contribution to realizing transformative learning. The research employed a qualitative descriptive design with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation at SD Negeri 46 Pagaralam, South Sumatra Province. The participants consisted of teachers and students directly involved in deep learning practices. The findings show that deep learning was implemented through five strategies. These strategies foster active engagement, higher-order thinking, and the development of human values such as empathy, ethics, and social responsibility. The study concludes that deep learning not only enhances the quality of the learning process but also contributes significantly to students’ cognitive and character transformation. The implications highlight the importance of teacher training, flexible curriculum, and technological support to sustain deep learning implementation in elementary schools.
