Abstract

Research on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on human activities has produced many new findings. This research is built on the basis of changes in the culture of student activities, which are mostly carried out offline towards a new culture in online activities. This study examines the changes in the types of activities, the place of activities and the pattern of student activities. Through quantitative research methods, data acquisition through questionnaires and descriptive analysis, found that students' weekly activities during the pandemic were quite tiring due to the increase in the number of activities. In addition, the student activities outside the campus are not effective in supporting their weekly activities as students. This is partly because of feeling bored and disturbed by other activities. Then there was a polarization of student activities during the pandemic, which can increase activity includes: sports, independent learning, running hobbies, and taking care of the house, and several decrease activities namely:  socializing, performing arts, taking care of themselves, resting, watching, medical treatment, and weekly worship. This research can contribute to finding out the learning problems of students in their hometowns during the pandemic.

Abstract

Pengenalan Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA) merupakan bagian penting dari kehidupan sehari-hari, yang tidak hanya memberikan manfaat kesehatan, tetapi juga memperkaya pengetahuan tentang alam. Pendekatan yang kreatif dan menyenangkan diperlukan agar informasi tersebut dapat diserap dengan baik oleh anak-anak. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini dilakukan di Taman Kanak-kanak (TK) Kecamatan Pasar Kemis, Kabupaten Tangerang yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan naturalis anak usia dini, melalui pengenalan TOGA menggunakan media Big Book dan lagu. Tahapan metode pengabdian meliputi: Analisis kebutuhan masyarakat terkait pemahaman tentang TOGA dan kecerdasan naturalis anak usia dini.; Pengembangan materi pembelajaran berbasis Big Book dan lagu yang menarik dan relevan dengan kebutuhan dan minat anak-anak.; Pelatihan kepada pendidik dan orang tua tentang penggunaan materi pembelajaran tersebut dalam mendukung pengenalan TOGA di rumah dan di sekolah.; Implementasi pengenalan TOGA melalui sesi pembelajaran yang interaktif dan menyenangkan bagi anak-anak.; Evaluasi dampak program terhadap peningkatan pemahaman anak-anak tentang TOGA dan pengembangan kecerdasan naturalis mereka. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini, para siswa dan guru sangat antusias dan membuat pembelajaran dengan metode ini sangat menyenangkan dalam memperkenalkan TOGA. Para siswa dapat terstimulasi kecerdasan naturalistik mereka melalui media Big Book dan bernyanyi, serta kegiatan interaktif dalam Big Book tersebut, menghasilkan hasil kuesionare yang di isi guru, metode yang digunakan sangat efektif bagi para siswa dalam pembentukan kecerdasan naturalis mereka.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Qur’an Reading and Writing Program (BTQ) and its impact on improving the religious character values of fourth-grade students at SDN Tlogosari Wetan 01 Semarang. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation involving one BTQ teacher and 17 students as research subjects. The results show that the BTQ program is conducted regularly twice a week and has proven effective in enhancing students’ ability to read and write the Qur’an. The findings reveal an improvement in reading ability, with 65% of students reading fluently, 35% applying correct tajwid, and 29% articulating accurate makharijul huruf, while 71% of students are able to write hijaiyah letters properly. In addition, 78% of students demonstrated improvement in religious character, particularly in discipline, responsibility, and politeness, whereas 22% still require reinforcement in honesty and gratitude. Supporting factors include teacher commitment, adequate facilities, and student enthusiasm, while the inhibiting factors involve limited time, varied student abilities, and low parental support. The study concludes that the BTQ program plays a crucial role in shaping students’ religious character through consistent spiritual habituation and teacher modeling. It is recommended that schools enhance learning facilities, teachers adopt more innovative methods such as talaqqi and drill, and parents actively support their children’s Qur’anic practices at home.
