Abstract

Beragamnya performance mutu 12 lembaga PAUD non formal di Kecamatan Cilawu Kabupaten Garut setelah akreditasi mencerminkan kualitas mutu lembaga PAUD yang dikelolanya. Kriteria tentang pengelolaan dan penyelenggaraan PAUD di seluruh wilayah hukum  Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia telah diatur berdasarkan  Peraturan Mentri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia  no 137 tahun 2013  tentang Standar Nasional Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini yang meliputi delapan standar nasional PAUD yang harus terdokumentasikan lengkap, sesuai dengan pedoman standar nasional PAUD, serta terimplementasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari di lembaga PAUD. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kualitas mutu lembaga PAUD  non formal di Kecamatan Cilawu Kabupaten Garut sebelum dan setelah diakreditasi. Melalui analisis data dan pengujian hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji t (t test)  maka dihasilkan profil mutu lembaga PAUD non formal di Kecamatan Cilawu Kabupaten Garut dan adanya pengaruh nilai mutu sebelum akreditasi terhadap nilai mutu setelah akreditasi.

Abstract

Penilaian dan pelaporan perkembangan anak adalah aspek kunci dalam pendidikan anak usia dini (PAUD), vital bagi guru untuk menyusun program stimulasi. Pemerintah Indonesia meluncurkan Kurikulum Merdeka PAUD pada tahun 2021, namun terdapat keterbatasan dalam pelatihan pendidik PAUD. Mengatasi ini, kami melakukan pengabdian masyarakat di Kabupaten Garut pada tahun 2023, bertujuan mencetak fasilitator PAUD di 42 kecamatan. Pentingnya guru PAUD dalam pendokumentasian dan pelaporan perkembangan anak ditekankan, terutama selama pandemi COVID-19 dimana peran orang tua menjadi lebih signifikan. Program pengabdian "Training of Trainer Assessment Perkembangan Anak Usia Dini dalam Kurikulum Merdeka PAUD" dirancang secara terstruktur dan komprehensif. Tahapan persiapan meliputi studi pustaka, persiapan materi, dan alat pelatihan. Pelaksanaan pada 20 November 2022 dihadiri 90 guru PAUD dari berbagai kecamatan di Garut, dengan metode interaktif dan praktis. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan kemampuan pendidik dalam penilaian dan pelaporan perkembangan anak. Keberhasilan ini didukung oleh antusiasme peserta dan dukungan organisasi mitra, meski dihadapkan pada tantangan variasi pengalaman peserta. Faktor penting lainnya adalah adanya fasilitator PAUD di setiap kecamatan, memperluas dampak pelatihan. Kesimpulannya, kegiatan ini menyoroti pentingnya penilaian dan pelaporan perkembangan anak dalam PAUD. Pelatihan ini memberikan solusi efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan PAUD, dengan saran untuk melanjutkan pelatihan serupa dan monitoring berkelanjutan untuk mendukung PTK PAUD dalam menerapkan ilmu dan pengalaman yang diperoleh.

Abstract

This Community Service Activity highlights the importance of enriching children's play experiences with a variety of play tools and materials. This activity aims to change PAUD teachers' views on the tools and play materials available in their environment, which are often considered uninteresting or less educative. Through this workshop, participants are taught about the concept of loose parts and how to design a play environment that stimulates children's development in various aspects. This service activity is important because many PAUD teachers do not make optimal use of the tools and play materials around them. This workshop provides a platform for teachers to improve their understanding and skills in presenting interesting and educational play tools and materials. This activity took place for one day in the STAI SILIWANGI Garut Hall, attended by 100 PAUD teachers. This activity includes delivery of material, individual and group assignments, as well as direct practice. This activity is very relevant to the needs of PAUD children and teachers, especially in providing adequate tools and play materials. The results of this workshop show an increase in participants' insight in understanding the concept of children's play tools and materials, as well as their ability to prepare an attractive play environment and encourage children to play. This activity also resulted in an increase in the presentation of a variety of games and evaluation of children's activities. In conclusion, this workshop was successful in increasing the understanding and skills of PAUD teachers in using tools and play materials available around them. Suggestions for the future include ongoing training and the creation of a loose parts warehouse to exchange tools and materials between teachers.

Abstract

Islamic character education in early childhood has an important role in shaping children's morals and personality in accordance with Islamic values. This service activity aims to develop Islamic character in early childhood through the visual storytelling method at PAUD Plamboyan, West Karawang District. The method used is the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, which emphasizes the use of local assets and active community participation in every stage of activities. This program includes storytelling skills training for educators, making Islamic visual props, as well as regular storytelling sessions involving children and parents. The results of the activities show an increase in understanding and internalization of Islamic values in children, such as honesty, discipline and caring, which is reflected in changes in their daily behavior. Apart from that, a new institution was formed in the community, namely a commitment from the school and parents to continue the storytelling method independently. The implication of this activity is increasing community awareness of the importance of collaborative Islamic character education between schools and families. The participation of educators as local leaders in this program also strengthens the sustainability and future development of the program. It is hoped that this activity can become a model for other institutions in implementing Islamic character education through innovative and participatory methods.
