Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi pembelajaran lingkungan hidup pada Lembaga PAUD se- Kota Malang yang di dalamnya mencakup visi misi, progam pembelajaran, strategi pembelajaran, topik pembelajaran, aspek kemampuan anak, sarana prasarana, dan fasilitas sekolah. Penanaman pembelajaran lingkungan pada AUD penting dilakukan, guna mengembangkan kepedulian dan sensitivitas terhadap lingkungan dan tantangannya.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptitf kuantitatif dari penyebaran angket ke lembaga PAUD se-Kota Malang diperoleh 44 responden yang berlatar belakang guru dan kepala sekolah di lembaga PAUD se-Kota Malang. Adapun responden dalam penelitian ini meliputi kepala sekolah TK/RA. Dalam menganalisis hal tersebut dilakukan uji validitas bersama ketua IGTKI dalam kegiatan FGD (Forum Group Discussion).  Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan penyebaran angket di Lembaga paud TK dan RA se-Kota Malang. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif, hasil angket di analisis dengan mencari nilai range dari setiap jawaban yang disebarkan melalui angket. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan adanya beberapa perbedaan mengenai tujuan sekolah yang terkait dengan pembelajaran lingkungan hidup dan aktivitas program pembelajaran lingkungan hidup yang terlaksana di sekolah lembaga TK/RA, maka peneliti mengkaji adanya perbedaan tersebut, untuk menganalisis implementasi pembelajaran lingkungan hidup pada lembaga PAUD se-Kota Malang.

Abstract

Background : The prevalence of autism in Indonesia has risen significantly in recent years, requiring targeted interventions to address developmental challenges. Special education institutions like TKLB River Kids play a crucial role in equipping autistic children with essential life skills to enhance their independence and quality of life. The TEACCH (Treatment and Education of Autistic and Associated Communication Handicapped Children) method has been widely recognized for its structured approach tailored to the unique needs of autistic individuals. This study examines the implementation of the TEACCH method at TKLB River Kids to explore its impact on developing life skills among autistic children.Aim : The study aims to analyze the application of the TEACCH method in honing life skills among autistic children at TKLB River Kids, identifying the influencing factors and the outcomes of this intervention.Method : This qualitative study employed a case study design to deeply explore the implementation of the TEACCH method. Data collection involved a one-month observation, interviews with three teachers and one therapist, and documentation analysis at TKLB River Kids. Triangulation techniques were used to validate the data, and Miles and Huberman's interactive model was applied for analysis.Results : The findings reveal that the TEACCH method, utilizing visual schedules, independent work systems, and structured task organization, significantly improved life skills such as self-care, communication, motor development, and social interaction. Internal factors like children’s motivation and cognitive abilities, as well as external factors including parental support and the availability of visual aids, influenced the program’s success. Improvements in emotional regulation, task completion, and independence were observed, with parents and educators reporting reduced stress and enhanced family dynamics.Conclusion : The structured implementation of the TEACCH method at TKLB River Kids has effectively fostered independence and life skills development in autistic children. The collaborative approach involving schools and families highlights the potential for broader application in special education settings, offering a sustainable model for enhancing the well-being of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi implementasi metode TEACCH (Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication-handicapped Children) untuk meningkatkan keterampilan toilet training pada anak dengan Gangguan Spektrum Autisme ( GSA) di TKLB River Kids. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus, penelitian melibatkan tiga guru dan satu terapis melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan studi dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan model Miles dan Huberman meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, dengan validasi melalui triangulasi. Hasil menunjukkan metode TEACCH efektif membantu anak autis mengembangkan keterampilan toilet training melalui pendekatan visual terstruktur. Komponen kunci keberhasilan meliputi jadwal visual, penandaan area toilet, visualisasi langkah, lingkungan konsisten, penguatan positif, dan latihan rutin. Tantangan utama mencakup kesulitan memahami isyarat tubuh, respon lambat terhadap stimuli visual, sensitivitas sensorik, dan menjaga konsistensi sekolah-rumah. Faktor penentu keberhasilan adalah konsistensi rutinitas, alat bantu visual efektif, lingkungan nyaman, dan kolaborasi guru-orang tua. Penelitian memberikan kontribusi penting dalam pengembangan model intervensi berbasis bukti untuk toilet training anak autis sesuai konteks pendidikan khusus Indonesia.
