Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika diusia anak usia dini menjadi perdebatan banyak ahli. Beberapa menganggap bahwa dalam menghadapi dunia modern abad 21, matematika menjadi modal awal untuk berkembang dan bersaing. Ahli lain menganggap anak usia dini masih usia bermain sehingga matematika belum menjadi prioritas dalam pembelajaran prasekolah. Oleh karena itu, melalui penelitian ini peneliti akan menguji model instrumen The Mathematical Development Beliefs Survey (MDBS). Metode penelitian menggunakan metode survey dengan responden calon guru pendidikan anak usia dini sebanyak 34 responden. Analisis data menggunakan Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) untuk menguji validitas, sedangkan reliabilitas instrumen dianalisis dengan menggunakan Cronbach’s alpha. Deskripsi hasil penelitian ini lebih lanjut dipaparkan pada bagian pembahasan artikel ini. Harapannya instrumen ini dapat digunakan untuk menganalisis persepsi guru maupun calon guru paud terhadap pembelajaran matematika pada pendidikan prasekolah.

Abstract

Students must have various abilities, one of which is critical thinking skills. Critical thinking is an ability that is an indicator of successful learning and is directly related to real life. Should carry out the development of critical thinking skills effectively and efficiently in education. Critical thinking skills of students, accurate measurement tools are needed. The measuring instrument is in the form of a test instrument developed through research. Conduct the researched with a quantitative approach by describing the characteristics of the critical thinking test instrument. The research method was the development of a test with the research subjects of class X MIPA students from seven public high schools in Kendal Regency with the criteria of high, medium, and low ranking schools. Developed the test in the form of multiple-choice reasoned with three scoring categories for each item according to the scoring of the polytomous items in the PCM 1-PL model (Partial Credit Model 1 Parameter Logistic). The feasibility test of the critical thinking test instrument was carried out with experts in measurement, assessment, and Biology Learning and was tested empirically on 1118 students. The research data were analyzed using the EXCEL, SPSS 16, QUEST and PARSCALE applications. The results showed that: (1) The test instrument with four categories of scores fit the PCM 1-PL model; (2) the test instrument has a high-reliability value; (3) The test instrument has a right level of difficulty; (4) The test instrument can be used to measure the ability of students in the range of -3.7 to 2.9. The test instrument developed was feasible to be used to measure students' critical thinking skills with three categories of polytomous scoring with the PCM 1-PL model.

Abstract

Pembelajaran di Indonesia saat ini merupakan pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan antara, sikap, keterampilan, kecakapan pengetahuan, serta pemahaman terhadap ilmu teknologi, informasi dan komunikasi. Salah satu pendekatan pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan antara sikap, keterampilan, kecakapan serta pemahaman terhadap ilmu teknologi informasi dan komunikasi adalah pembelajaran STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics). Melalui pola pembelajaran STEAM yang mulai di terapkan pada anak usia dini, harapannya dapat imajinasi dan proses pengetahuan anak menjadi lebih kreatif. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis model pembelajaran STEAM yang diterapkan oleh lembaga PAUD kota Malang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Peneliti menjadi sumber utama instrumen penelitian dengan menggabungkan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini melibatkan 5 lembaga yang diberi tugas oleh Dinas Pendidikan Kota Malang untuk menerapkan pembelajaran STEAM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran STEAM di 5 sekolah ini mengacu pada konsep yang sama, namun memiliki perbedaan dalam menerapkannya pembelajarannya

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menyelidiki kesetaraan skor try out UN mata pelajaran matematika SMP tahun 2014 Kota Makassar yang terdiri dari 2 paket soal yakni paket soal 1 yang direspons 2099 siswa dan paket soal 2 yang direspons 2068 siswa. Rancangan penyetaraan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan dengan butir bersama. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis dengan menggunakan pendekatan IRT dengan membandingkan seluruh metode mean-mean, mean-sigma, Haebara, dan Stocking-Lord menggunakan pendekatan IRT model 1PL, 2PL, dan 3PL. Langkah estimasi parameter penyetaraan menggunakan paket equateirt pada program R. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hubungan soal UN paket 1 dan paket 2, tidak dapat dikatakan setara, hal ini diketahui setelah melakukan analisis dan menghitung persamaan regresi, diketahui bahwa paket 2 soal UN memilik tingkat kesukaran yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan paket 1. Penyetaraan paket 1 ke paket 2*, untuk semua model IRT, pada model 1 PL metode penyetaraan yang paling presisi adalah metode Stocking-Lord, untuk 2 PL yang paling dekat adalah metode Haebara, sedangkan untuk model 3 PL adalah model Stocking-Lord. Penyetaraan paket 2 ke paket 1*, untuk semua model IRT, pada model 1 PL, 2PL, dan 3PL metode penyetaraan yang paling presisi adalah metode Haebara.

Abstract

AbstractScience literacy is an essential ability that elementary school students must possess. Science literacy can be developed in the learning and assessment process. Science literacy assessment requires a specific measuring instrument by prioritizing the HOTS cognitive concept. The development of science literacy assessment instrument adopted from the Djemari Mardapi Model aims to obtain the reliable instrument for gauging the students’ science literacy skills. Involving experts, teachers as practitioners, and essential education experts, the assessment instrument was developed in the form of a game-based multiple-choice test with Quizizz. The instrument testing was conducted in grades 4, 5 and 6 of one of Islamic Elementary School in Malang Regency, Indonesia. The analysis of the instrument consisted of content validity and test reliability. The development results revealed that the instrument met the perfect content validity and the empirical test with a very high-test reliability value (0.89). The assessment process by Quizizz game showed that the students were very enthusiastic. Despite the promising results as shown in this study, it is still necessary to enhance the science literacy skills of students by familiarizing them with HOTS-based cognitive questions.Keywords: science literacy, HOTS game-based assessment, empirical validity. AbstrakLiterasi sains merupakan kemampuan esensial yang harus dimiliki siswa sekolah dasar. Literasi sains dapat dikembangkan dalam proses pembelajaran dan penilaian. Penilaian literasi sains memerlukan alat ukur khusus dengan mengutamakan konsep kognitif HOTS. Pengembangan instrumen asesmen literasi sains yang diadopsi dari Model Djemari Mardapi bertujuan untuk mendapatkan instrumen yang handal untuk mengukur kemampuan literasi sains siswa. Melibatkan pakar, guru sebagai praktisi, dan pakar pendidikan esensial, instrumen penilaian dikembangkan dalam bentuk tes pilihan ganda berbasis permainan dengan Quizizz. Uji coba instrumen dilakukan di kelas 4, 5 dan 6 salah satu Madrasah Ibtidaiyah di Kabupaten Malang, Indonesia. Analisis instrumen terdiri dari validitas isi dan uji reliabilitas. Hasil pengembangan menunjukkan bahwa instrumen memenuhi validitas isi sempurna dan uji empiris dengan nilai reliabilitas tes sangat tinggi (0,89). Proses penilaian dengan permainan Quizizz menunjukkan bahwa siswa sangat antusias. Terlepas dari hasil yang menjanjikan seperti yang ditunjukkan dalam penelitian ini, masih perlu untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains siswa dengan membiasakan mereka dengan soal-soal kognitif berbasis HOTS.Kata kunci: literasi sains, penilaian berbasis permainan HOTS, validitas empiris.

Abstract

Purpose – Educational institutions play a crucial role in addressing environmental problems through Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) for early childhood. This research aims to identify effective methods for implementing sustainable education goals in environmental learning for young children by developing an environmental learning model. Design/methods/approach – This research and development study utilized Borg & Gall's development model, simplified for efficiency in terms of energy, time, and cost. The study focused on the validation stage, with testing and dissemination planned for subsequent research. The product was designed based on an initial needs analysis. Currently, environmental learning is limited to cognitive abilities only, lacking additional skills or habits imparted to the children. The product was validated through a Forum Discussion Group with Jakarta Bisa School and Gaharu Nature School in Bandung. Findings – Validation results indicate that environmental education can begin with character development in children. Jakarta Bisa School can implement the Green Attitude, which embodies values such as Life, Love, Responsibility, the Universe, and Sustainability. Additionally, learning should involve more direct experiences, allowing children to observe the natural life cycle, environmental care, and the sustainability of natural resources. Research implications/limitations – This research requires an extended period for designing and implementing the environmental learning model. By involving multiple stakeholders, it has the potential to change teachers' and parents' perceptions in educating early childhood. Practical implications – Environmental learning is essential for fostering future change. Children will grow with a strong understanding of the importance of love and care for the universe and a sense of responsibility for life within it. This approach helps cultivate environmentally conscious individuals who are equipped to address global challenges and contribute to a sustainable future. Originality/value – This research contributes to the field of education by promoting a better future through learning aligned with ESD goals. It provides innovative teaching methods and materials that foster environmental awareness and sustainability from an early age. Paper type Research Paper

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi pembelajaran lingkungan hidup pada Lembaga PAUD se- Kota Malang yang di dalamnya mencakup visi misi, progam pembelajaran, strategi pembelajaran, topik pembelajaran, aspek kemampuan anak, sarana prasarana, dan fasilitas sekolah. Penanaman pembelajaran lingkungan pada AUD penting dilakukan, guna mengembangkan kepedulian dan sensitivitas terhadap lingkungan dan tantangannya.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptitf kuantitatif dari penyebaran angket ke lembaga PAUD se-Kota Malang diperoleh 44 responden yang berlatar belakang guru dan kepala sekolah di lembaga PAUD se-Kota Malang. Adapun responden dalam penelitian ini meliputi kepala sekolah TK/RA. Dalam menganalisis hal tersebut dilakukan uji validitas bersama ketua IGTKI dalam kegiatan FGD (Forum Group Discussion).  Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan penyebaran angket di Lembaga paud TK dan RA se-Kota Malang. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif, hasil angket di analisis dengan mencari nilai range dari setiap jawaban yang disebarkan melalui angket. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan adanya beberapa perbedaan mengenai tujuan sekolah yang terkait dengan pembelajaran lingkungan hidup dan aktivitas program pembelajaran lingkungan hidup yang terlaksana di sekolah lembaga TK/RA, maka peneliti mengkaji adanya perbedaan tersebut, untuk menganalisis implementasi pembelajaran lingkungan hidup pada lembaga PAUD se-Kota Malang.

Abstract

Mathematics is a subject that must be mastered as it indirectly influences individuals' numerical abilities at further educational levels. This research aims to analyze the numerical analysis skills of sixth-grade elementary school students in mathematics during the Covid-19 pandemic. A qualitative descriptive approach is employed in this study. The research sample is selected using purposive sampling technique, specifically targeting students with low numerical abilities. Data are collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data are then analyzed using data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. `The research findings indicate that students' learning outcomes have not yet reached an optimal level. Online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic faces various challenges. Observations and interviews reveal that online learning is not as effective as face-to-face instruction. Both teachers and students encounter limitations in implementing the learning process. Additionally, the research findings uncover errors in performing simple arithmetic operations by students. The Mid-Term Assessment results indicate that students have not achieved the maximum level of achievement. Interviews with teachers also indicate numerous barriers and difficulties in conducting effective online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research holds novelty value in the context of utilizing online learning in emergency situations such as a pandemic. The research findings provide insights into the challenges and constraints faced by students and teachers in online mathematics education. To address these issues, the development of more interactive and participatory teaching strategies, as well as the utilization of diverse and engaging learning media, are necessary. Future research could explore teaching methods that enhance students' numerical abilities during online learning and develop more adaptive and innovative instructional media.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the development of children's fine motor skills. The implementation of the study was motivated by the problem of fine motor development of group A children at Insan Madani Plus Kindergarten, Malang City, which is still not optimal. This study used a Quassy experimental research design with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research was conducted at Insan Madani Plus Kindergarten Malang City in March 2023. The sample in this study were all children in group A of TK Plus Insan Madani Malang City, totaling 7 children. Data collection techniques using observation, for data analysis using the Wilcoxon Test.Based on the results of the study, using Pre-Test (before treatment) and Post-Test (after treatment) and data analysis conducted using the Wilcoxon test obtained a Z value of -2.379 and Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.017, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between posttest and pretest. The assumption in the Wilcoxon test is that if the Asymp.Sig value is <0.05, then the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, whereas if the Asymp.Sig value is >0.05, then Ha is rejected. In this case, since the Asymp.Sig value (0.017) < 0.05, Ha is accepted which indicates that there is a significant difference between the posttest and pretest. Therefore, it can be concluded that paper quilling activities have a significant effect on the fine motor development of children aged 4-5 years in group A of TK Plus Insan Madani Malang City.

Abstract

Interpersonal intelligence has an important role in children's social development. Children who have good interpersonal intelligence will easily adapt to new environments. This research aims to determine the increase in interpersonal intelligence of children aged 5-6 years through role playing activities. This research uses a quantitative approach of the Quasi Experiment type with an equivalent time series design. The sample in this study was the B2 group of Almaarif Singosari Islamic Kindergarten, totaling 16 children. The data collection technique used is observation and documentation, while the data analysis technique uses the Friedman Test. Based on the research results, data analysis carried out using the Friedman test showed that the p value was <.001, which means there was a significant difference in each posttest carried out. The results of the Friedman test calculation show that the p value (<.001) <0.05 means Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that role playing activities can improve interpersonal intelligence in children aged 5-6 years at Al Maarif Singosari Islamic Kindergarten.
