Abstract

Utilization of Health Centers can be interpreted as a concept that is applied to provide services in the long term and continuously to the community. As the most basic need. The purpose of this Community Service Program is to see Community Education About the Utilization of Health Centers in Optimizing Public Health Services in Medan Tuntungan District. Based on the results of a survey conducted on May 23, 2024 in Ladang Bambu Village, Medan. Increasing Public Awareness by Providing an understanding to the community about the importance of utilizing health center services to improve their health and welfare. Building Community Independence in Health by Encouraging the community to be more independent in maintaining their health, by utilizing health center services as partners in maintaining health. This service reveals that Health Services have a very important role in maintaining public health, especially when sick, where the community's need for health services will be met and health financing will be more secure with health insurance.

Abstract

Baby massage is one of the complementary therapies and self-care for postpartum mothers. There are many benefits of baby massage, one of which is to improve the quality of baby's sleep. Babies with good quality sleep can help optimize their growth and development. This community service aims to train and assist postpartum mothers who have babies in improving their sleep quality through baby massage. The purpose of this community service is to determine the ability and understanding of the community or postpartum mothers regarding performing massage on the duration of sleep of babies aged 3-6 months. Based on the results of a survey conducted on November 22, 2023 in Ladang Bambu Village, Medan Tuntungan District. The method used in empowerment activities is to provide health education on performing massage on the duration of sleep of babies aged 3-6 months, giving rewards to mothers. The results achieved after participating in community empowerment and discussion in Ladang Bambu Village, Medan Tuntungan District to determine the improvement in the ability and behavior of mothers in massaging babies aged 3-6 months.

Abstract

One of the government's efforts to reduce population growth is through the Family Planning program oriented towards the Norm of a Happy and Prosperous Small Family (NKKBS). The development of the National Family Planning movement has succeeded in reducing the population growth rate and fertility rate (TFR). However, the implementation of the Family Planning program still needs to be improved to the community, especially regarding information and Family Planning services. This study aims to determine the socio-demographic factors and Family Planning services with Family Planning participation. Data collection was carried out on June 27 - August 09, 2024. This research is an analytical correlation using a cross-sectional method. The population in this study were all fertile couples (PUS) in Medan Tuntungan District with a sample technique used was purposive sampling with a total of 83 people. Primary data in this study were obtained from questionnaires and secondary data were obtained from the Village Head Office regarding the number of fertile couples (PUS). The analysis technique used was univariate analysis and bivariate analysis using the Chi-Square statistical test. The results of the study showed that there was no relationship between age and family planning participation with (p value 0.512), there was a relationship between education and family planning participation with (p value 0.001), there was a relationship between the number of children and family planning participation with (p value 0.000), there was a relationship between family income and family planning participation with (p value 0.010), there was a relationship between family planning services and family planning participation with (p value 0.003). It is expected that health workers who have an important role in providing information to the community in the form of counseling to increase community knowledge and motivation to participate in family planning, for fertile couples, they can determine the number of children by using family planning, if they are over 35 years old, they are expected not to get pregnant again.

Abstract

Every parent expects their child to grow and develop optimally, so that they can0 become quality and resilient human resources. Baby massage can increase weight, baby growth, baby's immune system and strengthen the affection between parents and children. This study is analytical in nature, namely to determine the Behavioral Factors of Pregnant Women About Baby Massage. The research was conducted in November 2023-January 2024. The population in this study were all postpartum mothers at the Sally Medan Clinic. The results of this study indicate that the highest Behavioral Factors of postpartum mothers about baby massage are Behavioral Factors in the good category of 16 respondents (53.33%), Behavioral Factors are sufficient 11 respondents (36.67%) and Behavioral Factors are lacking 3 respondents (10%). Behavioral Factors of postpartum mothers about baby massage based on age are highest at the age of 20-35 years as many as 26 people (86.67%), with good knowledge as many as 14 respondents (46.67%), sufficient knowledge as many as 11 respondents (36.67%) and those with less knowledge 1 respondent (3.33%). Postpartum mothers' behavioral factors about baby massage based on education, the highest was high school education of 14 respondents (46.67%), while in the lowest group in junior high school with less knowledge of 1 respondent (3.33%). And the highest behavioral factors of pregnant women based on parity were multiparas of 15 respondents (10%), those with good knowledge were 8 respondents (26.66%), those with sufficient knowledge were 7 respondents (23.34%) and those with less knowledge were none. From the results of this study, it is expected that parents can increase their knowledge about baby massage, and can do baby massage themselves at home.
