Abstract

This research is entitled public reception toward Ms. Glow for Men skincare Brand Ambassador Babe Cabiita and Marshel Widianto Ads Edition. The reason of the researcher made the MS Glow for men skincare brand ambassador Babe Cabiita and Marshel Widianto Ads edition as the object of research, is because this advertisement uses a Brand Ambassador who does not have a masculinity side as usually displayed by the media. This study aims to determine the public reception on Ms. Glow for Men skincare Brand Ambassador Babe Cabiita and Marshel Widianto Ads Edition. This research is a type of qualitative research with data analysis techniques using the Reception theory of Stuart Hall. Stuart Hall explained that the audience's meaning of a message in the media can be seen from three points of view, namely Dominant Hegemonic Reading, Negotiated Reading and Oppositional Hegemonic Reading. In this study, researchers also conducted Pierce Semiotics Analysis on 6 out of 10 scenes in Ms. Glow for Men skincare Brand Ambassador Babe Cabiita and Marshel Widianto Ads Edition to make it easier for researchers to find out the meaning of the advertisement. The results of the research that the researchers conducted on 4 informants only produced 2 categories of audiences, namely the position of Dominant Hegemonic Reading and Negotiated Reading. The Dominant Hegemonic Reading position is a position where the audience fully accepts the meaning contained in the advertisement, there are 2 informants who are in this position, while the Negotiated Reading position is a position where the audience accepts but modifies the message in the advertisement, there are 2 informants who are in this position.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of nurses' interpersonal communication on the level of satisfaction of BPJS patients at Gading Medika Hospital, Bengkulu. The population in this study was all BPJS patients undergoing treatment in the inpatient room at Gading Medika Hospital, Bengkulu in February 2024, totaling 849 patients. Using the Slovin formula, a sample of 90 patients was obtained. The data collection method uses a simple random sampling technique. This research uses a quantitative approach and data is obtained from research questionnaires. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 26 software. The results showed that nurses' interpersonal communication had a significant influence on the level of BPJS patient satisfaction at Gading Medika Hospital, Bengkulu. This is proven by the results of the t test, that the test results for the nurse interpersonal communication variable show a significant value of 0.013 <0.05, so the hypothesis is accepted. The conclusion of this research is that nurses' interpersonal communication influences the level of BPJS patient satisfaction at Gading Medika Hospital, Bengkulu. Nurses' interpersonal communication is good and professional, the level of patient satisfaction shows that the majority of respondents are satisfied.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the dangers of stunting and its prevention to prospective brides (catin). One of the things done is communication between the Family Assistance Team (TPK) and prospective brides (catin) through three (3) months of premarital assistance in Air Napal District. This research method is descriptive qualitative. The theory used is Cutlip and Allen's effective communication process theory, namely credibility, context, content, clarity, sustainability, media and understanding. The results showed that the effective communication process consists of credibility, context, content, clarity, sustainability, media and understanding as follows: The Family Assistance Team (TPK) succeeded in building strong credibility so that prospective brides (catin) were interested in exploring information related to stunting prevention. Furthermore, context, the family assistance team (TPK) provides real and directed communication, information and education related to stunting prevention. Content, through the ELSIMIL application, catin can access educational content related to stunting prevention and pregnancy readiness. Clarity (clear message), the process of communication and delivery of education related to stunting and its prevention is clear and easily understood by catin. Continuity of communication that takes place even when the catin is married, pregnant and becomes a post-saline mother. The media are social media whatsaap and facebook which are very effectively used by the Family Assistance Team (TPK) and prospective brides (catin). Furthermore, understanding, namely both parties can be said to have carried out effective communication with the same understanding or the message conveyed can be received and applied properly. The occurrence of effective communication is also because the Family Facilitating Team and the bride-to-be (catin) already know each other well so as to increase the trust of the bride-to-be (catin) in the Family Facilitating Team (TPK).

Abstract

This research aims to find out the role of School Anti-Drug Peer Groups in socializing the dangers of drugs in the school environment at SMAN 4 Bengkulu City. The theory used in this research is Jeager's (1997) Socialization theory. In this theory there are 2 types of socialization. Among them are Repressive Socialization and Participatory Socialization. This study used qualitative research methods. In this study there were 8 informants who were determined based on purposive sampling techniques. The research results show that the role of SANS peers at SMAN 4 of Bengkulu City in participatory socialization is very significant, especially in disseminating information about the dangers of drugs at SMAN 4 of Bengkulu City. SANS members, as students' peers, use a personal and relevant approach to convey messages about the dangers of drugs. They not only provide information, but also actively engage students in activities such as group discussions, role plays, and interactive presentations. Thus, the role of SANS (peers) can be categorized as running optimally in socializing the dangers of drugs at SMAN 4 of Bengkulu City. SANS (peers) provides opportunities for students to learn, contribute, and feel the direct impact of anti-drug socialization, thereby helping to increase students' awareness and understanding of the risks of drug abuse. This is also fully supported by SMAN 4 of Bengkulu City, as can be seen from the collaboration between the Principal, staff and SANS administrators, the school has developed clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in enforcing drug regulations.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out how the process of intimacy between co-workers occurs within the Bengkulu Province Education and Culture Service. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods. This research uses data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. The technique for determining research informants uses purposive sampling using Altman Taylor's social penetration theory. The research results show that there is a phenomenon of intimate closeness between colleagues at the Bengkulu Province Education and Culture Service. This intimate closeness phenomenon occurs through 5 stages, namely the initial stage (surface contact), they know each other because they work in the same agency and spend time from 08.00-16.00, the exploration stage (exploratory affective exchange) they express each other's feelings intensely communicating on Whatsapp, commitment (affective exchange) they share trust and confidence and have an agreement not to contact outside office hours and always give female informants money, intimacy (self-disclosure) reveal personal information to each other and they have checked in at hotels and the stable stage of the relationship understands and they continue to carry out this relationship, supporting each other.

Abstract

Instagram is a social media application that allows users to take photos, apply digital filters (effects to photos), and share them. This research aims to analyze the content of the Bengkulu Info Instagram social media as a medium for disseminating local information. This research is a qualitative research. Based on the Four Pillars Social Media Strategy Theory according to the theory of Lon Safko & David K Brake. The results of this research show that the entertainment content presented by @bengkuluinfo is interesting, varied, effective and unique and popular with consumers so that the audience does not feel bored and is entertained by up to date content. However, when presenting entertainment content, attention needs to be paid so that it is not excessive and out of context with the image that @bengkuluinfo has. The application of collaborative content on Instagram social media provides a positive opportunity for @bengkuluinfo on how to work together to make good things more effective and more efficient with the same goal, common perception, willingness to process, providing mutual benefits, honesty, compassion and the community. The information content uploaded by Instagram @bengkuluinfo has an interesting concept and the information provided in the content is very clear so that the content presented can make it easier for Instagram followers @bengkuluinfo to understand the content, and of course followers on Instagram can feel fulfilled by the information content provided. so that followers can clearly pay attention to the contents of the uploaded information content. The educational content analyzed in the post "Putera Bengkulu takes part in a piano competition in Hong Kong" shows how Instagram @bengkuluinfo educates its followers to innovate in order to create a more advanced future. Thus, the four pillars strategy can be an effective step in disseminating local information through the Instagram social media account @bengkuluinfo.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the impact of the quality of front office services on the level of consumer satisfaction at Sinar Sport Hotel Bengkulu. The approach used is quantitative with survey methods. The total population of 92 respondents was random sampling technique of 48 respondents with sample determination technique using Slovenian formula. Using a questionnaire that covers independent variables of service quality and dependent variables is the consumer satisfaction rate of a survey instrument of up to 40 respondents. The validity and reliability test results show that the research instrument is valid and reliable. Further, the data was analyzed using a t test through the SPSS 26 application. Variables of service quality influenced consumer satisfaction on Sinar Sport Hotel Kota Bengkulu. Based on the calculation of the above t test obtained the variable value of service quality of 7.420 and Sig. value of 0,000, whereas for the ttable value of the total number of respondents 48 is the value of 1,683. Therefore, the computation obtains by comparing between the thitung value > ttable is 7,420 greater than 1,683 and the Sig value < 0,05 is 0,000 smaller than 0,05 so that the hypothesis of Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. It can be concluded that service quality variables influence consumer satisfaction of guests at Sinar Sport Hotel Kota Bengkulu.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Syntactic Structure, Script Structure, Thematic Structure, Rhetorical Structure in online media, namely KOMPAS.com and METROTV NEWS.COM. This research reports on the issue and constructs reality in each news script. This study aims to determine the framing of reality constructed by KOMPAS.com and METROTV NEWS.COM in the news text about the Study Tour ban. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method, using the framing analysis method of Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki model. The results showed that regarding the Framing Analysis of the Reporting on the Study Tour Ban in the Online Media KOMPAS.com and METROTV NEWS.COM. In this case, it is clear that the two online media both broadcast the same news but with different views. It can be seen that KOMPAS.com and METROTV NEWS.COM online media emphasize more on the prohibition of the Study Tour, namely the Department of Education and Culture, Head (DISDIKBUD) of Central Java Uswatun Hasanah stated that his party would impose strict sanctions on schools that violate these rules. activities that are at great risk and burden students.

Abstract

In this very fast millennial era, it provides added value by easily accessing all information, also has an impact on people from various walks of life, especially teenagers today. This opportunity encourages teenagers to do something free to socialize. Promiscuity is now the influence of a teenager, where most teenagers today often abuse their lifestyle. This study aims to determine the Representation of Moral Messages in the Film ''Distance Between Canvases'' (Roland Barthes Semiotic Analysis). The collection of research data using observation techniques and documentation techniques is contained in the film in accordance with predetermined categorization. The results showed that there are 6 moral messages seen from the behavior style of today's adolescents, the first moral message, interactions between friendships that use abusive language such as calling 'dog' is one of the behavioral styles of today's adolescents that are considered normal by some people.Second, the moral ethics of the adolescent transitional association experience uncertainty and uncertainty and get a lot of temptation or attraction to do bad deeds. Third, the dating style of young people in this era legalizes immoral acts as a normal habit.Fourth, selective friendship with the quality of friendship is strongly influenced by personality in terms of the quality of friendship. The fifth moral is that regret and disappointment in a breakup results in regret and feeling aggrieved, one of which is due to infidelity. Sixth moral message true friends, every teenager wants a friendly relationship with quality. But sometimes teenagers do not realize if adolescents direct the problems experienced out of their identity.

Abstract

This study examines the communication strategy of Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) Bengkulu in retaining listeners through YouTube content, focusing on Programa 1’s “Dialog Interaktif Pagi.” The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach to capture how a public broadcasting institution adapts to digital media consumption. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with key informants (the Head of the Broadcasting Team and the program host), and documentation of broadcasting activities and YouTube content. The analysis is guided by Susan Tyler Eastman’s framework, which highlights five strategic dimensions: compatibility, habit formation, control of audience flow, conservation of program resources, and mass appeal. Findings indicate that RRI Bengkulu aligns program topics and presentation styles with audience needs, maintains listening habits through consistent scheduling and recognizable program identity, and directs audience flow by integrating on-air and online promotion. The station also optimizes limited resources by repackaging broadcast materials into digital formats and strengthening teamwork in production planning. Finally, RRI Bengkulu enhances mass appeal by selecting accessible themes, encouraging audience participation, and using YouTube to expand reach beyond traditional radio listeners. Overall, these strategies help RRI Bengkulu sustain loyal audiences while attracting new viewers in the digital era, supporting the relevance and competitiveness of public radio broadcasting.
