Abstract

The picture of reality formed by the mass media was expected to underlie the response and attitude of the public towards various social conditions. It will indirectly affect the domestic firms, because in any case, they must be prepared to compete with other similar companies as well as the need to have courage in the face of competition from multinational companies that operate and are located in various areas. In this study the researcher used theories derived from sources that can be used as a reference. Data were collected by using interview techniques and data analysis. From the research, it’s known that the application of marketing communications strategy in Harian Rakyat Bengkulu was to attract advertising. The applied strategies was chosen by the needs, it means that the application of the strategy used is not too theoretical cultivated and made as simple as possible and inspired by the vision of the company. Basically every company (in this case Harian Rakyat Bengkulu) needed to apply marketing communication strategy in the company's vision and mission more effectively. Without the application of marketing communication strategy, the company most likely would not run well.Keywords: company, marketing communications strategy, advertiser

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the influence of interpersonal communication between students and the thesis supervisor students in the stress symptoms thesis. Based on initial observations on Communication department students of Dehasen University year 2010, of the 62 students who have submitted a title and run the thesis counseling process, only 29 students managed to reach the stage of proposal examination. One of the obstacles faced by students is the lack of good interpersonal communication so that interpersonal relationships are not well established. This research is a quantitative descriptive. Sample set by using purposive sampling of the students of Communication Department who were working on thesis, that is 38 students. The results showed that interpersonal communication between students and thesis supervisor has not been effective so that the discussion does not go well. The ineffectiveness of communication activities lead students to experience stress symptoms so that interfere the completion of thesis writing.Keywords: Interpersonal Communication, Stress

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the differences between the effectiveness of advertising media on above the line media and below the line media used by Dehasen University Bengkulu as a promotion strategy. Thisis a quantitative survey research. Data was analyzed byusing a different test of Paired Samples T-Test. The effectiveness of advertisements was analyzed by using a descriptive analysis dimension of EPIC (Emphaty, Persuasion, Impact, dan Communication)  Model. The result showed that there are differences in the form of advertising effectiveness of UNIVED Bengkulu presented on above the line media and below the line media in influencing target audience. Emphatically, the advertisement on the top line media was able to utilize the advantages, such as visual excess in newspaper, audio visual in television, and strategic value of banners or billboards. So, persuasively, it’s able to strengthen the characters of the brand as well as foster the perception that UNIVED was identical to personal needs of being able to build awareness, understanding, and action. Meanwhile, advertisement on the bottom line media also proves its effectiveness mainly on media brochures or leaflets which have visual excess and wide space to convey the message. Another media, poster, had the same visual strength as well. However, it cannot assist optimally in associating the advertisement because it did not support the laying image that can affect audience comprehension.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the communication patterns between punk community member in Curup Rejang Lebong. This study used qualitative research methods, with descriptive research approach. Informants in this study were four members of the punk community. Data collection techniques used by researchers were observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the patterns of communication used by members of punk were: one-way communication pattern, two-way communication pattern, and multidirectional communication pattern. In the pattern of one-way communication, punk community members act as listeners or communication made in the form of instructions through mobile media (handphone). This two-way communication patterns better clarify the pattern of one-way communication where the causal direction alternates for their feedback whether the message could be understood and accepted. Multidirectional communication patterns occur in this community go well, because here they exchange ideas or discuss and receive advice among fellow community through consultation conducted every month to pull out the ideas that could be useful for the progress of the punk community members and strengthen the relationships between community members.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of advertising tax in Bengkulu People Television in building public awareness of the tax are used as inputs Revenue Service through Samsat Bengkulu Province, Bengkulu City. This study is used to further socialization strategy. This study is a quantitative survey research using descriptive analysis dimensions CRI Awareness, Comprehed (Comprehension), Interest, Intentions, and Action. The data used in this paper, Questionnaire, Observation, Documentation. This research uses 100 respondents. Charateristics or profile of respondents were asked to the respondents is about sex, and age based on the characteristics of sex, most respondents were males by 60%, this shows that the percentage of males is higher than the percentage of women. Based on calculation CRI Awareness, Comprehed (Comprehension), Interest, Intentions, and Action, the obtained value by 71% thus, it can be concluded that the effectiveness of advertising tax in RBTV in building public awareness paying taxes reach effective level

Abstract

The type of research that will be used in this research is qualitative descriptive research. This research is limited to the disclosure of a problem or event as it is in just to reveal the facts so that the result is emphasized in the description objectively or as is about the object under study. In this study a qualitative descriptive type was used to describe how the creative strategy of Community Service Ads "Bengkulu Maritime World Axis" by BETV. Based on the results of research and discussion of creative strategies in making public service advertisements in Bengkulu BETV neatly arranged. There are 5 creative strategies using the Rhenal Kasalli theory of creative advertising criteria, namely Attract Attention, Interest Gain, Create Desired, Conviction, and Precipate Action.

Abstract

This study discusses the factors that determine the comfort of domestic workers in Bengkulu City's Betungan Housing. The aim to describe the behavior of the employer's family, wages, work activities and overview of social security to domestic workers working comfort. The research method used was a qualitative approach survey with data collection techniques of observation and interviews with informants of domestic workers residing in the RT. 12 PerumnasBetungan. The results obtained in the form of: (1) Employers in PerumnasBetungan have good behavior towards domestic workers, (2) The level of wages received by domestic workers in PerumnasBetungan is low between Rp. 500,000. up to Rp. 1,000,000, (3) Household activities carried out by domestic workers in PerumnasBetungan caring for children, cooking, washing, ironing and sweeping the house, (4) Social security received in the form of holiday bonuses, clothes and food. Abstract

According to research it is obtained: attention, interesting display and pictures of electric balance which can attract customer and make them interest to try and top-up balance because the transaction is fast, easy on delivery and cheap also various model which displayed. Society can also a new agent, kios cell open for 24 hours so customer can always be served. Interest because of online advertisement by showing the price is cheaper than other sellers, but the problem comes from internet connection so it delays in sending the electric balance. Desire is still in customer who being aware in top-up electric balance with online media, cheap and fast in every transaction makes customers satisfy. The loss when sending the balance get delayed so that account will use personal balance which caused the customer loss. Action of kios cell owner can give a guidance through brochure and give direct guidance to customer about how to do a transaction in purchasing electric balance through facebook or token.

Abstract

Society basically consists of various cultural backgrounds, these differences tend to be prone to conflict. This requires efforts to minimize the emergence of these conflicts by maintaining relationships in the community through communication, thereby strengthening social interaction in society and will later become a forum for forming harmony. Dusun Curup Village is an area inhabited by one of two different cultures, where each group is able to maintain harmony in daily life. The two cultures are the original ethnic group, namely the Rejang Tribe and the immigrant ethnic group, namely the Batak tribe. The theoretical basis in this study is accommodation communication theory and uses communication patterns consisting of primary, secondary, linear and circular. This research was conducted using descriptive research methods using a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques in this study used two ways, namely primary data collection techniques with interview and observation techniques while secondary data collection techniques with supporting documents and literature, in addition to Miles and Huberman data analysis techniques and data validity tests, namely triangulation.The results of the study explain that in the community of the two different ethnicities, forming a circular communication pattern in communicating, the formation of this pattern is seen from the majority of daily activities which are more dominant in circular, the interaction that takes place is Dusun/bese coul language. This can be seen based on the approach using specific convergence, divergence, and maintenance, in addition to that, the real forms of harmony that exist are (1) Social aspects, which are formed from social order that is carried out in collaboration, one of which is negligent and sluggish. (2) The cultural aspect, which is manifested through an attitude of openness through mixed marriages so that each ethnic group can mingle and understand each other.
