Abstract

The problem frequently faced by students participating in tahfiz programs is allocating time between memorization and other activities. This research investigates how Quran memorizers (all of whom are school students) allocate their time for memorization, revising memorized portions to prevent forgetting and fulfilling their school and pesantren obligations. The research methodology employed is field research with a survey approach. Data collection was carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and the use of questionnaires with 23 samples of students participating in this program. The findings of this research indicate that, in terms of the quality of memorization, 91% recited their memorization without referring to the Quran (bil ghaib) in front of other students. Regarding the increase in the quantity of memorization, it was found that 78% still have sufficient time to add new memorizations despite engaging in other activities at the pesantren. Furthermore, this research supports the assertion that having good time management can enhance Quranic memorization both qualitatively and quantitatively, even while engaging in other activities besides memorization

Abstract

The method of learning PAI is usually only with the lecture method and does not utilize other learning media, so that learning becomes less effective and interesting and even makes students bored and boring. This research focuses on the goal of increasing students' interest and understanding at MTS Daarul Ihya by implementing audio-visual-based Islamic religious education (PAI) learning media. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis uses interactive which consists of data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. To test the validity of the data, researchers used source triangulation. The results showed that the use of audio visual media as a learning medium can increase students' interest and enthusiasm and understanding of Islamic religious education subjects, then the use of audio visual-based learning media can also increase the effectiveness of teachers in delivering material to students.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) in Indonesia play a pivotal role in shaping students' character and moral values, especially in the face of globalization and societal shifts. This study explores the process of internalizing Islamic values at Al Ghozali Islamic Boarding School in Bogor, focusing on its systematic approach to character education. The research identifies three main stages of value internalization: value transformation, value transaction, and value transinternalization, which collectively contribute to the development of disciplined and responsible students. The study employs a qualitative research design, using participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation to collect primary data. The findings indicate that the integration of formal and non-formal education, coupled with role modeling by caregivers, plays a crucial role in instilling values such as discipline, responsibility, and sincerity. This research contributes to the field of character education by demonstrating the practical implementation of value internalization in pesantren and provides insights for improving character education programs in other educational settings. The study also highlights the challenges of adapting traditional methods in the modern digital age.
