Abstract

Hazards can occur anywhere and anytime, including when humans are working in the work environment. Workers often forget that there are dangers threatening around them. The need for invitations to workers to be able to maintain occupational safety and health (K3) at work is an effort that is felt to foster a sense of care for oneself and others to avoid danger. The purpose of this research is to design a visual display of information with an ergonomics approach and visual communication in the integrated laboratory of Pahlawan Tuanku Tambusai University. The ergonomics approach is an approach that utilizes information about the nature, abilities and limitations of humans in designing a work system so that humans can live and work on the system properly, namely achieving the desired goals through the work with ergonomic principles. Meanwhile, the visual communication approach is an approach to the concept of communication and the expression of creative power, which is applied in various visual communication media by processing graphic design elements consisting of images (illustrations), letters, colors, composition and layout. From this research, the results are in the form of calculating the width and height of letters that are good for display design at the integrated laboratory at Pahlawan Tuanku Tambusai University based on an ergonomic approach, good typography types for use in display design and display design based on an ergonomic approach and visual communication.

Abstract

This research aims to design a website-based User Interface that will be used to view product sales in the Postpaid Management Department. This research is important because a good User Interface can increase user efficiency in accessing and managing product sales data, which in turn can improve department performance. The research methodology used in this research is user needs analysis, User Interface prototype development, prototype testing, and user evaluation. Product sales data from the Postpaid Management Department will be used as a data source in developing the User Interface. The research results show that the User Interface design meets user needs and allows users to easily view product sales data. This User Interface provides various features that allow users to search, filter data, and view sales reports with various parameters that can be adjusted. Users also provide positive feedback regarding the ease of use of the designed User Interface. This research makes a positive contribution to the Postpaid Management Department by providing a more efficient tool in viewing product sales. The results of this research can also be a basis for further development in improving the User Interface and its functionality in accordance with the development of departmental needs.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of warehouse operational performance on the acceleration of goods delivery at PT. Satria Antaran Prima Tbk Padang Branch. Optimal warehouse operational performance is one of the key factors in supporting supply chain effectiveness, especially in speeding up the delivery of goods to consumers. The research method used is a descriptive method with data collection through sources in the warehouse and logistics department. The data obtained was analyzed using descriptive methods to test warehouse operational processes regarding the speed of delivery of goods. The research results show that there is a significant influence between warehouse operational performance and the acceleration of goods delivery. This means that improvements in storage processes, inventory management, and distribution arrangements in warehouses can directly increase the speed of delivery of goods to consumers. Therefore, PT. Satria Antaran Prima Tbk is advised to continue evaluating and improving warehouse operational performance as part of a strategy to increase customer satisfaction.

Abstract

Riau Province is one of Indonesia’s largest palm oil–producing regions, generating substantial biomass waste such as palm kernel shells. One potential use of this waste is Palm Kernel Shell Ash (PKS-Ash), which contains silica (SiO₂) and alumina (Al₂O₃) that are beneficial for cementitious reactions. This study aims to evaluate the effect of PKS-Ash as a cement additive on the properties of Cellular Lightweight Concrete (CLC) bricks, particularly unit weight, water absorption, and compressive strength. A laboratory-scale experimental method was applied. The test specimens were produced using cement, sand, water, a foaming agent, and PKS-Ash with variations of 0%, 4%, 6%, and 8% by weight of cement. All specimens were tested at curing ages of 7, 14, 21, and 28 days in accordance with SNI 8640-2018. The results at 28 days showed that the addition of PKS-Ash significantly influenced the characteristics of the CLC bricks. Compressive strength increased with higher PKS-Ash content, reaching a maximum value of 1.775 MPa at the 8% variation, compared to 0.975 MPa for the control mixture. The unit weight of the specimens ranged from 1,304.29 kg/m³ to 1,716.44 kg/m³. Water absorption values varied, with the lowest absorption observed in the 0% mixture and the highest in the 4% mixture. The study concludes that PKS-Ash has strong potential as a sustainable additive to improve the compressive strength of CLC lightweight bricks while promoting effective utilization of palm oil industry waste.
