Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how coloring activities impact the fine motor skills of children aged 5-6 years at the Pembina State Kindergarten, Pancur Batu District. This research uses an experimental type of research. This research design uses True Experimental Design, with a post-test only control group design. The experimental and control groups consisted of each other. This research involved 30 early childhood children aged between 5 and 6 years. The independent variable in this research is coloring activities and the dependent variable is fine motor development. The data collection method consists of structured observation and analysis data collected using the t-test with a significance level of α = 0.05. The results of the research show that there is a significant influence of coloring activities on the fine motor development of young children in the Pembina State Kindergarten, Pancur Batu District. This is proven by statistical calculations through the average value given different treatments, namely 13.13 for the experimental class and 7.66 for the control class. Where the t-test results show a tcount of 12.128. For hypothesis testing criteria using a real level of 0.05 with dk = n1 + n2-2 or dk 28, the ttable is 1.701. So it can be concluded that tcount 12.128 > ttable 1.701, which means Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected or the same as coloring activities have a significant effect on the fine motor development of early childhood children 5-6 years old in the Pembina State Kindergarten, Pancur Batu District.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the influence of boy-boyan games on the social-emotional abilities of children aged 5-6 years in TK Siaga Muda. This research was conducted at TK Siaga Muda, with a population of 20 children which made a sample of 10 children. In this study, the method used is the One Group Pre-Test Post-Test research method. Based on the results of Wilcoxon calculations, the number of steps marked positive = 45, and the number of steps marked negative = -10. So, Jcount = ie the number of smaller levels. If Jcount is compared with Jtable N 10 with α 0.05 then Jtable = 8. From the results of the above analysis, it can be said that Jcount > Jtable where >, thus the hypothesis is accepted. It means "There is a significant effect of Boy-boyan Games on the Social Emotional Ability of Children Aged 5-6 Years in TK Siaga Muda ".

Abstract

This research aims to determine the results of children's independence through the use of animated film media in group B children at TK Prestige Bilingual School. The results of this research were that the average score given the animated film treatment was 10.53 in the very good category, while the average score not treated with the animated film was 9.13 in the very good category. From the score statement, the data shows that learning activities using animated films can increase the independence of group B children aged 5-6 years at TK Prestige Bilingual School. This can be proven by obtaining scores given treatment and no treatment. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, it shows that there is a significant influence from the use of animated film media on the independence of group B children, and from the results of the t-test, it is obtained that tcount < ttable, namely 0.000 < 0.05 at the level α = 0.005 with the results of the t-test it can be concluded that There is a significant influence from the use of animated film media on the independence of group B children aged 5-6 years at TK Prestige Bilingual School.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the artistic creativity of children aged 5-6 years through ecoprinting batik activities at TK Negeri Satu Atap Secanggang. The problem in this study is based on the results of initial observations which indicate that children's artistic creativity has not developed optimally due to the use of less diverse learning media. The research method used is quantitative with a type (quasi-experimental) through a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The population in this study were all children at TK Negeri Satu Atap Secanggang, with a research sample of 15 children in class B1. Sampling used a purposive sampling technique combined with cluster sampling, namely determining subjects based on class groups that have formed naturally. Data collection was carried out through observation and documentation instruments. For data analysis, an N-gain test was used to measure the level of effectiveness of the intervention. The calculation results show that ecoprinting batik activities have quite promising effectiveness in improving children's artistic creativity. The final findings support this, with 11 out of 15 children (73.33%) in the "High" category, while 4 out of 15 children (26.67%) were in the "Medium" category. These findings suggest that the use of natural materials in the ecoprinting method can significantly stimulate children's creativity development. It is hoped that teachers can utilize this activity as an innovative alternative learning method, and schools are expected to continue supporting various learning resources to optimize the creative potential of early childhood.

Abstract

This study analyzes how the school principal implements the management functions of planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling at PAUD Filadelfia Patumbak II, and identifies the factors that support and inhibit their implementation. Preliminary observation found that learning planning ran below its potential, learning media use remained limited, and supervision and evaluation lacked consistency. Using a qualitative single case study design, the study drew data from one principal as the key informant and four teachers as supporting informants through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data were analyzed with the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña and validated through source and method triangulation. The four management functions generally ran well, though their effectiveness varied. Six supporting factors spanned internal and external dimensions, while four inhibiting factors emerged: limited facilities and operational funding, the principal's limited digital literacy, disrupted supervision during the principal's maternity leave, and one teacher's academic qualification below the required standard. These findings point to a leadership-substitution protocol, digital literacy training for principals, and accelerated qualification support for underqualified teachers as concrete steps for strengthening management practice in similarly resourced early childhood institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of contemporary children's dance activities on the gross motor skills of children aged 5–6 years at Sandhy Putra Kindergarten. This study was motivated by the low development of children's gross motor skills, especially in locomotor skills such as running, jumping, and maintaining body balance. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method through a nonequivalent control group design. The study population was 44 children aged 5–6 years, while the study sample consisted of 30 children selected using a purposive sampling technique and divided into an experimental class and a control class with 15 children each. Data collection was carried out through observation using instruments referring to the Test of Gross Motor Development-2 (TGMD-2). The experimental class participated in eight sessions of contemporary children's dance activities, while the control class participated in routine learning activities without special treatment. Data analysis was carried out using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test through the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics. The results showed that contemporary children's dance activities had a significant positive effect on children's gross motor skills. This was shown by an increase in posttest scores in the experimental class compared to the pretest results. Thus, contemporary children's dance activities can be used as effective learning activities to stimulate gross motor development in early childhood education.
