Abstract

This research discusses the change of cooperatives towards digitalization from the perspective of Innovation Diffusion theory from Everett M Rogers at the CU Sehati Cooperative in Jakarta. Digitalization is an important strategy for cooperatives to continue to exist and be relevant during such rapid technological changes. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive approach with case study and literature study methods. The study results show that the implementation of digitalization in the CU Sehati Cooperative is in the innovation stage, with cooperative members as adopters who support the organization's sustainability. The study identifies the key factors influencing technology adoption. It also recommends training cooperative members and strengthening digital infrastructure to accelerate technology adoption so that cooperatives can increasingly contribute to the community's economy.

Abstract

Indonesia is the world’s second-largest fish producer, yet national fish consumption remains relatively low. To address this gap, the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries launched the Gemarikan (Eat More Fish) campaign, which has recently shifted to digital platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube to reach wider and younger audiences. This study explores the digital communication strategies used in the Gemarikan campaign, employing a constructivist paradigm and descriptive qualitative approach. Data were gathered through interviews, observation of digital channels, and document analysis at the Directorate General of Strengthening the Competitiveness of Marine and Fishery Products. Findings show that the campaign relies on persuasive, visual, collaborative, and educational messaging. While digital media enables interactive and contextual communication, effectiveness is shaped by technical and cultural factors. The study highlights the need for data-driven, adaptive digital communication strategies to promote healthy and sustainable food consumption behavior.

Abstract

The introduction to the fundamentals of crisis communication is an essential part of the education for Vocational Broadcasting students, considering their active role in the media and broadcasting sector. This program was conducted to equip students of SMK Negeri 47 Jakarta Selatan with basic crisis communication skills, aiming to prepare them to face future communication challenges at both personal and organizational levels. This community service activity targeted Broadcasting students and featured a crisis communication expert along with a practitioner from BRIN (Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional). The program included presentations, discussions, and Q&A sessions designed to enhance the students’ understanding and readiness in handling crises. As a result, the students demonstrated improved mental preparedness and the ability to maintain personal and institutional reputations in the digital era. Furthermore, this initiative lays the groundwork for ongoing crisis communication training programs at the school, providing valuable competencies for their future careers.
