Abstract

Eco enzyme is an organic waste liquid product produced from the fermentation process. Eco enzyme's functions include cleaning vegetables and fruit, cleaning floors, repelling insects and being able to fertilize plants. Eco enzyme has benefits for cleaning because of the acetic acid and alcohol contained in the liquid. The aim of this research is to find out the process of making Eco Enzyme and to find out the benefits of Eco Enzyme organic fertilizer, to find out the results of the nutrient content of the eco enzyme product. This research method is data collection techniques. The data source in this research is a secondary data source, in the form of documentation in the form of photos and videos in the process of making eco enzyme.

Abstract

This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method to explore in-depth understanding of the role and impact of plastic waste recyclers in the context of environmental conservation and natural resource utilization. Narrative data in the form of written or spoken words from people, attitudes, and objects that can be observed are collected through the Documentation and Observation approach. The research location involved three places, namely TPS Jl. Ambil No. 83 Sidorejo Hilir Village, Medan Tembung Sub-district, TPA Air Terjun in Medan Marelan Bandar Selamat Village, and Bank Sampah Karya Mitra Jl. Datuk Kabu, Bandar Klippa, Percut Sei Tuan Sub-district, Deli Serdang Regency. The focus of observation is the position of the Waste Disposal Sites (TPS) in Medan Tembung Sub-district, Percut Sei Tuan Sub-district, and Bandar Selamat Landfill. Qualitative data analysis techniques were conducted by studying the answers collected from the research subjects, with the aim of analyzing the effectiveness, constraints, and potential in the practice of plastic waste recycling. Plastic waste is identified as a significant source of environmental pollution, and this research tries to investigate the contribution of recycling as a critical solution to reduce its negative impact.

Abstract

Coastal environmental pollution is an increasingly complex problem in Indonesia, especially due to uncontrolled waste disposal. This study aims to analyze the impact of waste disposal on the environment in the coastal area of Putra Deli Beach, Deli Serdang Regency. The research approach used is mixed-method with data collection through direct observation, semi-structured interviews, and literature study. The results showed that plastic waste dominates the types of waste found at the research site and is the main cause of marine ecosystem pollution. The impacts include damage to marine biota habitat, decreased tourist attraction, public health problems, and economic losses for local businesses. The lack of waste management facilities and low environmental awareness also exacerbate this condition. Therefore, an integrated waste management strategy based on community and stakeholder collaboration is needed to maintain the sustainability of the coastal environment.
