Abstract

The issue of gender is a central topic that colors almost all aspects of human life, including religion. One of the controversial topics regarding the issue of gender relations is the rights and competence of women in becoming leaders, this issue will be the subject of study in this article with the main focus being how the perspective of gender psychology and its relevance to the Islamic perspective in relation to the issue of women's leadership. This research contains views on how Islamic organizations in Indonesia address women's leadership as well as the perspectives of psychology practitioners and academics looking at women's competence in leading publicly. The results of this study indicate that the majority of Islamic organizations in Indonesia do not have a problem with women becoming leaders, and psychologically it shows that women have the same competence as men in terms of being leaders publicly. So this research aims to reconstruct the patriarchal understanding of the general public into psychological and religious studies which shows and confirms that there is equality between men and women so that the realm of gender psychology and Islamic religion becomes a field of study that is relevant to the breath of women's leadership which is often discriminated against. This research study uses a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out by interviewing psychology lecturers at the Indonesian University of Education and a comprehensive literature study.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh modeling, reinforcement, dan self-efficacy dalam proses pembelajaran dan penggunaan bahasa pada mahasiswa di Kota Bandung. Menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dengan 71 partisipan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modeling berpengaruh dominan dalam proses akuisisi dan penggunaan bahasa. Mayoritas responden memiliki kemampuan bahasa ibu (85%), bahasa domisili (88,5%), adaptasi terhadap bahasa mayoritas (86,5%), dan multilingual adaptif sehari-hari (94,6%). Aspek reinforcement terbukti mendorong pembelajaran bahasa melalui kemudahan interaksi sosial (91,7%), perubahan preferensi bahasa karena eksposur media atau lingkungan akademik (87,3%), serta kurangnya penguatan menyebabkan 61% responden mengalami language attrition. Self-efficacy memengaruhi keyakinan mempelajari bahasa baru (92,3%) dan ketahanan (83,4%), meski hanya 73,2% responden yang percaya diri dalam menggunakan bahasa baru dalam interaksi sosial.

Abstract

Literary works never stand alone and are born from a situation of emptiness. However, literature is a connectedness of inter-discourse dialogue that lives in a cultural and socio-historical context. One work that is rich in such connectedness is the novel Jakarta Sebelum Pagi by Ziggy Zezsyazeoviennazabrizkie. Of course, Julia Kristeva's post-structuralist theory of intertextuality, which views text as part of a network of inter-discourses and permutations of other texts, is a relevant framework for analyzing this work. This research is important to see how contemporary Indonesian literature is connected both explicitly and implicitly with a wider network of texts, especially western literary works that can extensively describe how inter-textual dialogue is cross-cultural. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with content analysis techniques. The results of the analysis show that this novel builds dynamic intertextual relationships with various western literary works, especially through aspects of characterization, character development, representation of urban life, and social criticism. In general, this research shows that literature in forming narratives and meanings is always transformative, dynamic, and interactive across socio-historical and cultural boundaries.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to examine the effect of academic grit (AG) and environmental stressors (ES) on cognitive functioning (CF) in Indonesian students studying the Al-Jurumiyah book. This study is important because studying a classic book like Al-Jurumiyah requires high cognitive abilities, but there has been no study that analyzes the predictor factors that influence it simultaneously.Method – This research employs a quantitative approach with regression design using a sample of 17 students in Bandung Regency (accidental sampling). Data was collected through adapted questionnaires: Academic Grit Scale (9 items, ?=0.70), Perceived Stress Scale (25 items, ?=0.87), and Cognitive Functioning Self-Assessment Scale (18 items, ?=0.84. The analysis included classical assumption tests and multiple regression with JASP 0.18. Findings – Multiple regression analysis showed that academic grit (AG) and environmental stressors (ES) explained 48.6% of the variance in cognitive functioning (CF) (adjusted R² = 0.486). The model was significant (F = 0.004) simultaneously. Partially, only AG had a significant positive effect on CF (? = 1.649; p = 0.009), while ES had a negative but insignificant effect (? = -0.050; p = 0.789). Research Implications – Practical implications of this study suggest the importance of strengthening non-cognitive aspects such as grit and motivation, especially in memorization-based and syntactic analysis-based curricula. Interventions such as self-regulation training and effective learning strategies may enhance cognitive functioning. Although the effects of environmental stressors (ES) were not significant, the negative trend suggests the need for supportive and low-pressure learning environments. The limitations of correlational and cross-sectional designs limit causal inference and temporal analysis.

Abstract

Tingginya stres akademik serta menurunnya performa akademis siswa sekolah dasar menunjukkan perlunya elaborasi lebih lanjut terhadap faktor-faktor pembentuk keberhasilan akademik, khususnya aspek non-kognitif yang selama ini kurang mendapatkan perhatian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh spiritual quotient (SQ), emotional quotient (EQ), dan self-compassion (SC) terhadap academic performance (AP) siswa sekolah dasar. Hipotesis yang diuji adalah adanya pengaruh signifikan ketiga variabel prediktor terhadap AP. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain non-eksperimental dengan partisipan berjumlah 51 siswa kelas 6 dari dua sekolah dasar di Indonesia yang dipilih melalui teknik accidental sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner adaptasi dari instrumen terstandar: SISRI-24 untuk SQ (α = 0.921), BEIS-10 untuk EQ (α = 0.922), dan SCS-SF untuk SC (α = 0.86). AP diukur menggunakan ACS (α = 0.74). Analisis regresi berganda menunjukkan bahwa ketiga variabel prediktor secara simultan signifikan (F = 6.580; p < 0.001) memengaruhi AP, ketiganya menjelaskan 25.1% variansi AP (Adjusted R² = 0.251). Secara parsial, hanya SQ yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap AP (B = 0.551; p = 0.003), sedangkan EQ dan SC tidak signifikan (p > 0.05). Implikasi teoretis menunjukkan bahwa SQ merupakan prediktor kuat kinerja akademik siswa sekolah dasar. Temuan ini merekomendasikan penguatan pendidikan berbasis spiritual sebagai bagian dari pendekatan holistik dalam pengembangan akademik siswa.

Abstract

Kekerasan seksual terhadap anak telah menjadi permasalahan global yang semakin memprihatinkan. Di Indonesia, angka kasus kekerasan seksual terhadap anak terus menunjukkan tren peningkatan setiap tahunnya. Ironisnya, pelaku sering kali berasal dari lingkungan terdekat korban, seperti keluarga atau kerabat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa anak-anak korban kekerasan seksual umumnya menghadapi empat jenis trauma utama: perasaan dikhianati (betrayal), trauma pada aktivitas seksual (traumatic sexualization), kehilangan kendali atau ketidakberdayaan (powerlessness), dan stigma sosial (stigmatization). Selain itu, korban kekerasan seksual anak juga cenderung mengalami masalah psikologis seperti depresi, hilangnya motivasi, rendahnya self esteem, ketakutan sosial, gangguan PTSD (post-traumatic syndrome), kecemasan (anxiety), bahkan gangguan kepribadian. Pengalaman traumatis ini berpotensi besar memberikan konsekuensi negatif terhadap perkembangan anak secara keseluruhan, khususnya terkait dengan penyesuaian diri di usia dewasanya. Penelitian ini menyarankan solusi berbasis perspektif sosial, psikologis, dan kebijakan publik untuk mengatasi permasalahan serius ini.

Abstract

Background: Previous bibliometric analyses tend to mix SE with reproductive health issues or are geographically limited. This study aims to fill this gap through exclusive bibliometric mapping of the topic of SE. Method: Bibliometric approach with quantitative network analysis design. Data were obtained from Google Scholar via Publish or Perish with a title-based search strategy using the phrase “Sexual Education”, resulting in 810 scientific articles in the range of 2000-2025. The analysis was conducted using VOSviewer through co-occurrence term mapping and overlay visualization for temporal analysis. Result: This study identified six gaps in SE research: (1) disparities in SE research in the policy domain and inclusion of vulnerable groups such as people with intellectual disabilities; (2) segmentation between protectionist (e.g., child sexual abuse) and pedagogical (CSE, curriculum) approaches; (3) marginalization of qualitative methods and systematic reviews; (4) narrow gender focus, limited to women's issues; (5) lack of studies of barriers and access in CSE implementation; and (6) lack of exploration of the effectiveness of SE programs in adolescent populations. Implication: The study results have practical implications for policy, education, and research, with key recommendations being the inclusive integration of CSE into the curriculum, cross-sector collaboration for evidence-based SE programs, and the use of bibliometric findings to fill identified research gaps. Novelty: Contributing to mapping SE research trends through bibliometrics, focusing on the analysis of key terms and their development, different from previous studies that expanded to other topics such as reproductive health and had certain population segmentations.

Abstract

The rapid growth of e-commerce in Indonesia has triggered a surge in online impulsive buying behavior (OIBB), particularly among university students as digital natives. This phenomenon can lead to negative consequences such as financial problems, regret, and impaired psychological well-being. This study aims to examine the effects of Electronic Word of Mouth (eWOM) and Deferment of Gratification (DoG) on OIBB among active Shopee users in the Greater Bandung area, using a quantitative regression approach with 110 respondents. The regression results show that the research model explains 59.4% of the variance in OIBB (Adjusted R² = 0.594). Partially, eWOM has a significant positive effect on OIBB (β = 0.553; p < 0.001), while DoG has a significant negative effect (β = –0.327; p < 0.001). These results indicate that higher exposure to eWOM increases the tendency for OIBB, whereas the ability to defer gratification can reduce such behavior. The findings provide practical benefits for individuals to enhance self-awareness, manage impulsive online shopping urges, and cultivate wiser and more controlled online shopping habits.
