Abstract

Kawasan hutan mangrove merupakan sumberdaya yang memiliki peran penting baik secara ekologis, ekonomi dan sosial bagi masyarakat. Keberlanjutan dari hutan mangrove membutuhkan peran bukan hanya pemerintah dan, tetapi juga masyarakat yang tinggal disekitarnya. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi masyarakat berkaitan dengan pengelolaan dan manfaat kawasan hutan mangrove di Kampung Kambala dan Yarona. Penelitian ini merupakan sebuah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Lokasi studi di Kampung Kambala dan Yarona Distrik Buruway Kabupaten Kaimana. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner untuk memperoleh data mengenai persepsi masyarakat. Skala berjenjang digunakan untuk mengukur persepsi responden dan data dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif dengan menghitung nilai maksimum dan minimum, kemudian menentukan jumlah skala dan interval yang diinginkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat tidak mengetahui sejarah dan luas kawasan mangrove, tetapi memiliki akses ke kawasan mangrove untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidupnya dengan tetap memperhatikan wilayah yang sakral pada area tersebut. Selanjutnya sebagian besar masyarakat memiliki persepsi yang baik tentang pemanfaatan kawasan hutan mangrove sebagai tempat wisata, demikian juga jika kawasan mangrove di kampungnya dimanfaatkan sebagai lokasi ekowisata. Dilain pihak bagi sebagian kecil masyarakat yang memiliki persepsi negatif tentang kampungnya dijadikan tempat ekowisata adalah khawatir sumberdaya alamnya akan rusak atau berkurang. Masyarakat memiliki persepsi yang baik tentang kawasan hutan mangrove sebagai tempat ekowisata akan memberikan keuntungan bagi masyarakat. Selanjutnya, berkaitan dengan pengelolaan kawasan ekowisata hutan mangrove, masyarakat juga memiliki persepsi yang baik dan untuk pengelolaan ekowisata kawasan hutan mangrove, masyarakat memilih pengelolaannya dilakukan secara bersama-sama oleh masyarakat, pemerintah dan swasta. Pengembangan ekowisata kawasan hutan mangrove dan pengelolaan yang baik akan memberikan manfaat untuk masyarakat.

Abstract

The people of Warsansan Village who work at KTH Nyampun Kampung Warsansan earn income from the sale of Ginger and Ginger Juice. Based on this, this study focuses on the Value Chain, Supply Chain and Added Value of Ginger Products. Sampling was purporsive sampling, accidental sampling, and snowball sampling. The value chain activities of ginger products in Warsansan Village, North Biak District, Biak Numfor Regency are: Ginger farmers provide ginger raw materials on the land, Ginger juice processors do not buy raw materials and do not store them in the warehouse but directly process them, Ginger juice processors take raw materials on their own land so that there is no price for raw materials, The process of processing ginger plants into ginger juice products in Warsansan Village is still using a very simple way most of the time processing ginger juice products in residential houses, because there is no production house yet. The marketing of the product is carried out directly and the delivery outside the city and the shipping cost is borne by the recipient of the goods. The supply chain flow in this study is "Farmers ------ Ginger Juice Processors -------- Intermediate Traders". Added value in ginger can be obtained through the processing process into various derivative products, one of which is ginger juice. The ginger processing activities carried out provide an added value ratio to ginger juice processors of 79.065% and also provide added value to intermediate traders of 26.282%. Research shows that by processing ginger plants into ginger juice, added value is obtained for ginger juice processors and is economically profitable. In addition, it is also beneficial for consumers.

Abstract

This study investigates the interrelationships among Ethnoecological Knowledge, Climate Adaptation Strategies, and Farmer Innovation in fostering Sustainable Agriculture in Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 150 smallholder farmers across Java, Sumatra, and Sulawesi through structured questionnaires measured on a five-point Likert scale. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS 3) to test the direct, indirect, and mediating relationships among the constructs. The findings reveal that ethnoecological knowledge significantly enhances both climate adaptation and farmer innovation, indicating that traditional ecological wisdom remains a critical foundation for modern sustainability practices. Climate adaptation strategies have a dual role—directly strengthening sustainability and indirectly fostering innovation. Furthermore, farmer innovation mediates the relationship between traditional knowledge and sustainability, serving as a transformational bridge from cultural heritage to adaptive modernization. The model explains 69% of the variance in sustainable agriculture, confirming its strong predictive power. The study provides theoretical contributions by integrating the Resource-Based View (RBV) and Dynamic Capabilities Theory (DCT) and offers practical recommendations for policymakers to strengthen local wisdom, participatory innovation, and adaptive learning in rural development. These findings underscore that Indonesia’s agricultural transformation depends not on abandoning tradition, but on revitalizing it through innovation-driven adaptation toward sustainability.
