Abstract

Poetry is the recording and interpretation of important human experiences transformed into a memorable and interesting form. Poetry is one type of literary work that is of interest to various groups and age groups. Not only reading poetry, some people are also interested in creating poetry. Linguistically, poetry is mostly free, not bound by specific rules. The use of figurative language sometimes makes it difficult to understand the meaning of beautiful words in poetry. The poem June Rainfall by Sapardi Djoko Damono is the subject of this research. The problem raised by the author is only limited to the meaning of words in this poem. The purpose of this research is to describe the meaning contained in the poem June Rainfall through semantic analysis, which focuses on analyzing lexical meaning, grammatical meaning, referential meaning, and figurative meaning. Qualitative descriptive method is used as the research method. The techniques used in this research include documentation techniques, library techniques, and note-taking techniques. The results of the discussion show that this poem can be analyzed through semantic studies.

Abstract

Language diversity allows each person to use more than one language. The use of several languages ​​in communication presents the potential for code mixing and code switching. These two linguistic events often occur in various environments, even in the mass media. This study aims to describe (1) the types and forms of code switching in the film Ngeri Ngeri Sedap; (2) factors that cause code switching in the film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap; and (3) the use of the analysis results as a review of communication between teenagers in the school environment. This study is a qualitative descriptive study. The data collection technique used is the free listening technique with advanced techniques in the form of note-taking techniques. Data analysis is carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that: (1) there are 15 internal code switching data involving Indonesian, Batak, Sundanese, and Javanese. (2) the results of the analysis can be used as a review of communication between teenagers in the school environment.

Abstract

The implementation of inclusive education in Indonesia aims to provide educational facilities and services for children with special needs (ABK). Inclusive education has been implemented in various schools, especially in big cities, but still faces various challenges in its implementation. This study aims to describe the problems faced by schools that provide inclusive education in North Sumatra and their resolution efforts. The objects in this study include public schools and special schools that integrate inclusive education. This study uses a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The data obtained are explained through the process of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Various problems arise, ranging from the lack of number and competence of special guidance teachers (GPK), difficulties for students in following lessons, lack of school readiness to run inclusive programs, to limited facilities and infrastructure that do not support the needs of children with special needs (ABK). In addition, low cooperation between schools, education offices, and parents is also an obstacle to the implementation of effective inclusive education.
