Abstract

Proper hair maintenance is a crucial component of one's daily beauty regimen. Shampoo, a commonly utilized hair care solution, has a chemical blend that effectively eliminates filth while also offering moisturization and safeguarding. The objective of this study is to create shampoo formulations and preparations with chamomile extract. The chamomile flower extract contains active chemicals, specifically 1,3,4-trihydroxyflavones called apigenin and apigenin 7-o-glucoside. These compounds have several beneficial effects such as enhancing hair brightness and shine, as well as possessing antibacterial, antifungal, hypoglycemic, and antioxidant qualities. Shampoo's chemical composition is determined by analyzing factors such as pH, foamability, homogeneity, total plate count, yeast mold count, and other similar parameters. Upon examination of these criteria, it is evident that the formulation and shampoo formulations successfully complied with the test requirements outlined in SNI 06-2692-1992.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the high number of pending BPJS Health claims at Kartika Husada Setu Hospital. Pending claims can disrupt the hospital’s cash flow and potentially reduce the quality of healthcare services. The purpose of this research is to identify the factors causing pending BPJS Health claims for inpatient services at Kartika Husada Setu Hospital in 2024. This study employs a qualitative research approach with a retrospective design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and document analysis. The informants included the hospital director, finance manager, service manager, head of the medical records unit, casemix staff, coder, and heads of inpatient wards. The findings indicate that the primary cause of pending claims is the mismatch in medical indications, accounting for 73 files (79.4%), followed by incomplete documentation in 4 files (4.4%), and inaccurate coding in 15 files (16.2%). The mismatch in medical indications often involves unmet emergency and inpatient criteria, as well as a lack of therapeutic evidence. Incomplete documentation is frequently found in medical summaries, while inaccurate coding results from differing interpretations between the hospital and BPJS Health verifiers. The hospital needs to enhance training for staff involved in the BPJS claims process, optimize the use of electronic medical record systems, improve coordination with BPJS Health verifiers, and establish a quality and cost control team. The implementation of these recommendations is expected to reduce the number of pending claims, thereby improving operational efficiency and the quality of healthcare services provided to patients.

Abstract

Chronic kidney disease is a global health problem that impacts the quality of life of patients, especially those undergoing long-term hemodialysis. This Therapy not only imposes physical burdens but also impacts the psychological, social, and environmental aspects of patients. Therefore, quality healthcare and family support are crucial to improving their quality of life. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between hemodialysis service quality and family support with the quality of life of chronic kidney disease patients at Hermina Daan Mogot Hospital. This study employed a cross-sectional analytical method, involving 110 hemodialysis patients selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire that covered service quality, family support, and quality of life, based on the four WHOQOL-BREF domains (physical, psychological, social, and environmental). Data were then analyzed using correlation and multiple linear regression. The results showed that hemodialysis service quality had a significant positive relationship with patient quality of life (p < 0.05), as did family support (p < 0.05). Simultaneous analysis showed that both variables together contributed significantly to improving quality of life. Conclusion: Improving service quality (technical aspects, facilities, and interactions) and family support (emotional, informational, and instrumental) are crucial. Recommendations include developing service standards, training in caring behavior for nurses, and family education programs to optimally improve the quality of life of chronic kidney disease patients.

Abstract

The rapid development of healthcare services requires organizations to adapt to an increasingly dynamic and competitive business environment. The Dental and Oral Hospital (RSGM) Unjani Cimahi holds a strategic position as the only specialized hospital providing dental and oral healthcare services in Cimahi City. This study aims to formulate strategies for developing facilities and infrastructure in non-JKN services. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with SWOT and Balance Scorecard analysis approaches. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with seven informants, consisting of one Mandiri Inhealth (Identity) user, one non-JKN patient using personal/cash services, and five informants from the board of directors and related parties at RSGM Unjani Cimahi. The results of the Balance Scorecard analysis indicate that, in the learning and growth perspective, the strategic target is the realization of a healthy work culture and a reward system that enhances employees' affective commitment. In the internal process perspective, the strategic targets include improving compliance with service SOPs, achieving registration and payment waiting times in accordance with WHO and Ministry of Health standards, and optimizing the availability of executive polyclinic facilities. From the customer perspective, patient satisfaction is positioned as a key success factor through the provision of targeted executive polyclinic services that attract patient interest and contribute to hospital revenue growth. From a financial perspective, the strategic target focuses on increasing revenue through diversification of income sources and more efficient financial management aligned with productive expenditures.
