Abstract

In Indonesia, money politics remains a serious issue, even within religious communities like GKSI Isa Almasih Taman Mini. The impact of money politics not only undermines the integrity of democracy but also erodes the ethical values that religious communities should uphold. The main problem lies in the congregation's lack of awareness and critical understanding of the negative effects of money politics, as well as the weak moral education to reject such practices. This Community Service (PkM) aims to provide guidance and education to the congregation on the dangers of money politics and the importance of maintaining integrity as responsible citizens. This study highlights the vital role of the church in shaping a congregation that is both ethically sound and politically conscious. The PkM was conducted using a participatory approach through interviews, sermons, discussions, and simulations. The uniqueness of this research lies in its holistic approach based on Exodus 23:8, combining spiritual guidance with political education, a method rarely applied within the church context. The results showed an increase in the congregation’s understanding of money politics and their commitment to reject such practices, along with a significant change in their attitudes and actions towards safeguarding the integrity of democracy.Keywords: congregational guidance; monetary politics; political participation; church integrityAbstrakDi Indinesia, politik uang masih menjadi masalah yang cukup serius termasuk dalam komunitas keagamaan seperti di GKSI Isa Almasih Taman Mini. Dampak dari politik uang tidak hanya merusak integritas demokrasi tetapi juga nilai-nilai etika yang seharusnya dipegang teguh oleh umat beragama. Problematika utamanya ialah kurangnya kesadaran dan pemahaman kritis jemaat terhadap dampak negatif politik uang serta lemahnya edukasi moral dalam menolak praktik tersebut. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pembimbingan dan edukasi kepada jemaat tentang bahaya politik uang dan pentingnya menjaga integritas sebagai warga negara yang bertanggung jawab. Penelitian ini menyoroti peran penting gereja dalam membentuk jemaat yang berintegritas dan sadar politik. PkM dilaksanakan dengan metode partisipatif melalui wawancara, khotbah, diskusi, dan simulasi. Keunikan penelitian ini terletak pada pendekatan holistik berbasis Keluaran 23:8, yang menggabungkan pembinaan spiritual dengan edukasi politik, suatu metode yang jarang diterapkan dalam konteks gereja. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman jemaat terhadap politik uang dan komitmen mereka untuk menolak praktik tersebut, serta perubahan signifikan dalam sikap dan tindakan jemaat dalam menjaga integritas demokrasi.Kata Kunci: pembimbingan jemaat; politik uang; partisipasi politik; integritas gereja

Abstract

Moderation and literacy are effective approaches integrated in Christian religious education to counteract conflict in the digital space. Christian religious education has an important role in shaping the character and morals of Christians in a social environment that emphasizes the values of love, tolerance and mutual respect. However, in this connected digital era, new challenges arise in the form of hate speech that can threaten peace and unity. Hate speech on social media also damages the spiritual development of individuals. This research uses a literature data collection method with a descriptive qualitative approach. It found that the principles of moderation teach the importance of avoiding extremism and communicating wisely and are supported by the principles of digital literacy that help learners to critically understand, analyze, and appreciate the information they encounter. Solutive recommendations in the form of moderation and literacy principles in addressing the apparent problems in this topic will be elaborated by quoting Bible verses that emphasize emotion management, time management, and awareness of the impact of extremism.

Abstract

Generasi Alpha adalah generasi yang lahir dan tumbuh di tengah pesatnya perkembangan teknologi, menghadapi tantangan sikap apatisme yang mengancam nilai-nilai moral dan spiritual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan nilai-nilai pendidikan Kristen sebagai respons terhadap sikap apatisme Generasi Alpha dengan menganalisis integrasi antara prinsip iman Kristen, pendekatan pedagogis transformatif, dan pemanfaatan media digital. Secara spesifik, penelitian ini mengkaji peran Alkitab sebagai fondasi nilai, metode pengajaran interaktif berbasis karakter Kristus, serta strategi pemanfaatan platform digital untuk penguatan spiritual. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur, meliputi eksplorasi teologis, analisis model pendidikan Kristen kontemporer, dan sintesis temuan terkait media dan psikologi perkembangan anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai pendidikan Kristen seperti kasih, tanggung jawab, dan pelayanan dapat diinternalisasi melalui pendekatan kontekstual yang memadukan narasi Alkitabiah, pembelajaran partisipatif, dan konten kreatif digital. Implikasinya mencakup pembentukan karakter yang resilien, peningkatan keterlibatan aktif dalam komunitas iman, serta transformasi sikap apatis menjadi kepedulian sosial berbasis iman. Dengan demikian, pendidikan Kristen berpotensi menjadi solusi holistik dalam membentuk Generasi Alpha yang tangguh secara spiritual dan moral di tengah arus globalisasi.

Abstract

The Indonesian Christian Faithful Church (GKSI) Antiochia, located in East Jakarta on Kalimalang main road, serves as the location for this Community Service implementation. Based on observations and surveys conducted, worship apathy among Generation Z appears to be quite significant, particularly in their involvement in Youth worship services. This condition is exacerbated by their high dependency on gadgets and social media, along with the minimal role of spiritual mentors in facilitating meaningful worship experiences. In response to these conditions, this Community Service program aims to fulfill the need for contextual worship guidance. The objective is for Generation Z at GKSI Antiochia to experience transformation in their worship life, understand the essence of true worship (John 4:23-24), and grow into a generation of faithful worshippers. The Community Service implementation employs participatory observation methods, personal mentoring, group discussions, and worship workshops supported by literature studies. The results demonstrate significant transformation in Generation Z's understanding and practice of worship, marked by increased involvement in church services and deepened personal relationship with God.

Abstract

This article explores the implementation of Christian Religious Education (CRE) in the digital era, with a focus on inclusivism to promote religious moderation in the face of diversity. The background of this research is the increasing challenge of teaching CRE in religiously diverse environments. This study employs literature analysis to examine theories of religious education and religious moderation, as well as evaluate digital platforms used in CRE. This research aims to identify effective teaching strategies that promote inclusive and tolerant attitudes. The novelty of this research lies in its interdisciplinary approach, combining studies in education, technology, and theology. The findings indicate that the use of digital technology can enhance students' understanding of inclusivism and religious moderation values. In conclusion, the integration of technology in CRE has significant potential to strengthen inclusive attitudes in a pluralistic society.

Abstract

This study examines communication ethics based on Ephesians 4:29 in responding to hate speech in the digital age. Three main problems are identified: the increasing polarization between groups, the degradation of ethical communication values among Christians, and the minimal implementation of biblical communication principles in the digital context. Using a qualitative method through comprehensive literature review of the Bible, academic articles, and other relevant sources, this research analyzes the communication principles found in Ephesians 4:29. The analysis reveals three fundamental principles: avoiding corrupt speech, speaking words that build up, and prioritizing peace for the hearers. These principles carry theological implications that can be applied as ethical guidelines for Christian communities in responding to hate speech on social media, particularly in the contexts of churches, schools, and families. This research provides a significant contribution to the development of a constructive digital communication paradigm grounded in Christian values.

Abstract

In the increasingly digitalized era that dominates human life, there has been a significant shift in moral values among young adults. This phenomenon necessitates a thorough investigation into the moral transformation occurring, particularly through Christian ethical education in Sunday school. The primary issue in this research is the lack of understanding regarding how Christian ethical education in Sunday school influences ethical decision-making and the formation of individual morality in adulthood. This research is essential as it provides deep insights into the relevance of Christian ethical education within the context of everyday life. The study aims to explore the role of Christian ethical education in moral transformation during adulthood through a retrospective study of individual experiences. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with a retrospective approach, including article analysis and literature review. The findings indicate a positive correlation between Christian ethical education in childhood and moral consistency in adulthood. In conclusion, Christian ethical education in Sunday school has a significant impact on shaping long-term morality. This research offers a new perspective in the study of religious and ethical education.

Abstract

Strategi pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK) di era modern kurang optimal memenuhi kebutuhan unik Generasi Z, yang ditandai oleh pola pikir kritis, keterikatan erat pada teknologi, dan kebutuhan akan pendekatan pembelajaran yang relevan serta kontekstual. Strategi pembelajaran konvensional cenderung bersifat pasif, sehingga tidak efektif dalam mendorong pemahaman iman secara mendalam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi transformasi strategi guru PAK melalui metode heuristik dalam menghadapi tantangan pembelajaran bagi Generasi Z. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kepustakaan, menganalisis literatur akademik dan hasil penelitian terkini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode heuristik, yang menekankan keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam eksplorasi masalah dan refleksi nilai, mampu meningkatkan pemahaman mereka terhadap iman Kristen. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada integrasi metode heuristik dengan teknologi digital untuk menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang interaktif dan relevan. Substansi pemikiran yang ditawarkan adalah transformasi strategi pembelajaran yang berbasis pada eksplorasi, pemecahan masalah, dan refleksi kritis mampu menghadapi tantangan situasi pembelajaran PAK bagi Generasi Z.
