Abstract

This article aims to explain the implementation of socialization activities on factors for choosing transportation modes, especially at the Gunung Harta Autobus Company (PO), with the dominant factor being passenger comfort. The socialization method used is direct counseling for staff, drivers, and passengers at PO Gunung Harta. PO Gunung Harta's commitment to passenger comfort can be seen in various initiatives and consistency, such as the number of passengers carried according to bus capacity, main facilities in the form of luggage racks, and additional facilities in the form of window film and audiovisual facilities placed in the passenger room. It is hoped that this commitment will become a reference for other POs in improving services to provide a comfortable mode of transportation. It is hoped that the results of the outreach will increase public awareness about the importance of driving safely and wisely when choosing modes of transportation in order to create safer and more comfortable travel for all.

Abstract

In the 21st century, teacher education is required to look for new ways to improve the quality of mathematics teachers. However, the facts seen from the PISA test show that the achievement of Indonesian students is always low. Additionally, the OECD reports that only 1% of students in Indonesia are able to answer questions at a low level. The research aims to identify and find out what teacher educators face in preparing mathematics teachers with 4C skills and knowing solutions to 4C difficulties. The research method is a qualitative exploratory case study with a single case study design. The subjects were teachers at schools and prospective teachers at universities. Data collection techniques using documents and interviews. Ten prospective teachers from a university perspective and ten in-service teachers from a school perspective. The data analysis technique uses the constant comparative analysis method. The research results found five common challenges: lack of learning ability and motivation among prospective teachers, pedagogical challenges, lack of capacity and conceptual understanding of 4C skills among teacher educators, lack of supporting programs and facilities, and political challenges. Another finding is that teacher capacity is the two main concerns; universities must implement new, dynamic learning systems to equip mathematics teacher graduates with resources that teach 4C skills innovatively.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the comparison of character education system curricula in Indonesia and Malaysia, with a focus on the approach, implementation and effectiveness in shaping students' moral values and character. The aim is to identify similarities and differences between the two education systems, as well as provide recommendations for improving the quality of character education in Indonesia. The research method used is a literature study with a qualitative approach. The research results show that Malaysia integrates character education through special subjects such as Islamic and Moral Education, while Indonesia emphasizes the integration of character values in all subjects through the 2013 Curriculum. However, both countries face challenges in implementation, such as a lack of teacher training and gaps between theory and practice. The research results also reveal that Malaysia places more emphasis on religious values and multiculturalism in character education, while Indonesia focuses on the values of nationalism and diversity. Nevertheless, both countries agree that character education plays an important role in forming a generation with noble and responsible morals. Recommendations from this research are the need to increase teacher training, strengthen collaboration between schools, families and communities, as well as develop a more contextual and applicable curriculum. By adopting best practices from Malaysia and adapting them to the local context, Indonesia can increase the effectiveness of character education in forming students who are not only academically intelligent but also have strong character.
