Abstract

Planned parenthood is a program carried out to help regulate the spacing of children's births, and regulate pregnancies to create a quality family. Good knowledge is an asset in family planning programs, however, there are still some couples of childbearing age who have not used contraception because the knowledge of couples of childbearing age is still inadequate about the importance of family planning to regulate birth spacing they also have obstacles in choosing the right contraceptive. The respondents in this activity were 15 couples of childbearing age. This service to the community is carried out through the delivery of health information. Respondents assessed their level of knowledge before and after health education by filling out a questionnaire. The results obtained were the level of knowledge before being given health education, 8 (53%) people had sufficient knowledge, and 7 (47%) people had insufficient knowledge. After being given health education, 15 (100%) respondents' knowledge was good. Health education about family planning helps people create happy and prosperous families

Abstract

ABSTRACT Good parenting is seen as providing a welcoming and friendly environment so that children have high self-confidence. The purpose of this research is to see the relationship between parenting styles and the level of self-confidence of STIKES students in Surabaya. The research design used is a correlational study with a cross-sectional approach. The variables in this research are parents' parenting style and level of self-confidence. The number of respondents for this research was 138 STIKES students in Surabaya who were taken using purposive sampling techniques. The measuring tools used are the Parental Authority Questionnaire (PAQ) and a self-confidence questionnaire. The statistical test used is the Spearman Rank (Rho) correlation test. As many as 80% of parents have a democratic parenting style, and as many as 69% of students have a moderate level of self-confidence. The results of statistical tests obtained a p-value of 0.002, which means there is a relationship between parental parenting and students' level of self-confidence. Parental parenting style has a major contribution to teenagers' self-confidence. There is a need for education regarding the implementation of effective parenting patterns for parents and character education for students so that it can help increase self-confidence. Keywords: Parenting Style, Self-Confidence, Students  ABSTRAK Pola asuh orang tua berpengaruh terhadap rasa percaya diri anak. Lingkungan keluarga yang bersahabat dan ramah dapat meningkatkan interaksi antara anak dan orang tua sehingga dapat mengoptimalkan tumbuh kembang anak.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara pola asuh orang tua dan Tingkat percaya diri mahasiswa STIKES di Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi korelasi dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Variabel dalam penelitian ini adalah pola asuh orang tua dan tingkat percaya diri. Jumlah responden penelitian ini sebanyak 138 mahasiswa STIKES di Surabaya yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Parental Authority Questionnaire (PAQ) serta kuesioner percaya diri. Uji statistik yang digunakan adalah uji korelasi Spearman Rank (Rho). Didapatkan 80% memiliki pola asuh demokratis, sebanyak 69% mahasiswa memiliki tingkat percaya diri yang sedang, Hasil uji statistik didapatkan nilai p 0,002 yang menandakan bahwa ada hubungan antara pola asuh dan tingkat percaya diri mahasiswa. Pola asuh orang tua berkontribusi besar terhadap rasa percaya diri remaja. Perlu adanya edukasi terkait penerapan pola asuh yang efektif pada orang tua serta pendidikan karakter mahasiswa sehingga dapat membantu untuk meningkatkan rasa percaya diri. Kata Kunci: Pola Asuh, Percaya Diri, Mahasiswa

Abstract

Lansia merupakan masa yang rentan mengalami penyakit seperti hipertensi, diabetes melitus, artritis, stroke dan penyakit jantung. Pemberdayaan lansia dapat dilakukan dengan meningkatkan pengetahuan, ketrampilan dan kemampuan lansia untuk berperilaku sehat serta mampu untuk mengatasi masalah kesehatannya. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian Masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan lansia dalam menerapkan pola hidup yang sehat. Kegiatan yang dilakukan yaitu pemeriksaan kesehatan, pemberian edukasi kesehatan serta melakukan evaluasi. Kegiatan dihadiri oleh 58 lansia yang tergabung dalam posyandu lansia. Hasil kegiatan didapatkan sebanyak 63,8% memiliki kadar gula darah baik, sebanyak 74,1% lansia memiliki tekanan darah normal. Terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan lansia sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan edukasi Kesehatan. Diharapkan para lansia di wilayah RW 13 Kebraon Surabaya, untuk dapat tetap menjaga perilaku hidup sehat agar mampu mempertahankan kesehatannya secara optimal. Tetap rutin melakukan pemeriksaan kesehatan dan juga mengikuti kegiatan di posyandu lansia.

Abstract

Bullying occurs when a person feels oppressed by the behavior of others and fears that bad behavior may occur. Bullying behavior is aggressive behavior, consisting of two namely instrumental aggression, a tool used to achieve aggressive behavior. The types of bullying behavior that occur are sexual violence, physical altercations and bullying. There are reports from students from the results of interviews at SD Surabaya students often mock other friends, call their friends with nicknames such as fat, short and also push their friends on purpose. The purpose of providing information about bullying knowledge and behavior is so that elementary school students in Surabaya are able to recognize, know about bullying behavior properly, and prevent victims of bullying. The process of this activity begins with the principal of an elementary school in Surabaya submitting a request to provide health information to the LPPM unit of St. Vincentius a Paulo Catholic STIKES, then getting permission to carry out community service activities. The results after the health education process were changes in the level of knowledge of bullying behavior in respondents where before the activity the results showed that the level of knowledge of bullying behavior in respondents was more than good as many as 18 people (60%), 12 people (40%) had sufficient knowledge of bullying behavior about bullying behavior. The level of knowledge of bullying behavior after being given health education 30 people (100%) the majority have knowledge of bullying behavior.

Abstract

Pendahuluan : Osteoporosis merupakan salah satu penyakit yang sering dialami oleh lansia. Berkurangnya massa tulang merupakan konsekuensi umum dari proses penuaan yang sebagian besar ditentukan oleh faktor keturunan dan sejumlah faktor termasuk gaya hidup, nutrisi, aktivitas fisik, merokok, konsumsi alkohol dan kondisi penyakit kronis serta pengobatan. Kondisi ini meningkatkan risiko patah tulang, yang dapat menyebabkan penurunan kualitas hidup, kecacatan, dan menjadikan penyakit ini sebagai pemicu terhadap beban kesehatan masyarakat Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan aktivitas fisik dengan kejadian Osteoporosis pada lansia di RW 13 Perum Kebraon Indah Permai Kelurahan Kebraon Kota Surabaya. Metode: Desain penelitian ini adalah cross sectional dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner Physical Activity Level (PAL) dan pengukuran Bone Mineral Density (BMD) yang dilakukan pada 20 Oktober 2023. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 26 responden (54.2%) lansia melakukan aktivitas fisik ringan dan 27 (56,3%) lansia beresiko mengalami osteoporosis, ada hubungan yang signifikan antara kebiasaan aktivitas fisik dengan risiko osteoporosis dengan p-value sebesar 0,000 atau < 0,05 dan r = 0,728. Kesimpulan: Kurangnya aktivitas sehari-hari meningkatkan risiko terjadinya osteoporosis. Kerusakan pada mikroarsitektur tulang pada lansia disebabkan penurunan massa tulang yang cepat. Kader posyandu lansia diharapkan dapat mengajak para lansia di wilayah kelolaannya untuk menurunkan risiko osteoporosis dengan mengikuti senam lansia secara rutin dan meningkatkan aktivitas sehari-hari.

Abstract

Reproductive healthy is a state of health related to problems with the organs of reproduction, which begins in adolescence, marked by the onset of menstruation in girls or wet dreams in boys. Sex education for adolescents provides knowledge about sexual aspects and develops constructive attitudes for adolescents in dealing with sexual problems that occur early. Taboo views surrounding information about reproductive healthy within families result in the ineffective dissemination of such information. Therefore, comprehensive and targeted reproductive health education interventions are needed for adolescents to help them understand bodily changes, reproductive roles, as well as risks and prevention methods. The educational session was conducted on Friday, October 4, 2024. Participants in the educational activity were all students in grades 5 and 6 at SDK Untung Suropati 2 Sidoarjo. The material was presented in the form of a PowerPoint presentation designed to be as engaging as possible, making it easier for participants to understand the content. The evaluation results showed that 97% of participants were able to understand physical changes during puberty, the risks of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), how to maintain reproductive organ hygiene and the risks of infection, some incorrect information about sexuality, hormonal changes and emotional development during puberty, and the importance of reproductive organ hygiene.
