Abstract

Advances in information and communication technology have an impact in terms of delivering information that runs so fast and can be accessed through social media such as Facebook, Twitter or mobile phone messages such as WhatsApp and others. Due to this progress, social media users cannot filter properly regarding the truth of the news that will be received or disseminated so that it gives birth to hoax news. The criminal responsibility for spreading hoax news is contained in the article referring to the provisions of Article 28 paragraph (1) 45A paragraph (1) of the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia Number 19 of 2016. In the process of proving the crime of spreading hoaxes in online media, additional evidence is contained in Article 5 of the ITE Law concerning Electronic Information and Electronic Documents and/or printed results. Factors that influence the spread of hoaxes are curiosity, weak journalism, weak economic factors, the emergence of unofficial media, the low quality of media literacy. Prevention of hoax news by means of media literacy so that they have useful skills in processing, accessing, analyzing information and evaluating any information that is obtained or wants to be disseminated by social media. So that social media users can think critically about what they see and read so that it will give birth to a social media order that has etiquette.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how to apply a contextual approach to geography learning in schools. This research is qualitative research with descriptive analysis technique with literature study. This literature study aims to determine how contextual learning is applied in learning geography in schools. The author collects data and information related to the contextual approach in geography learning, sourced from research journals, both national and international, supporting books, newspapers, and magazines. Based on the results of the discussion in this literature study, it can be concluded that the contextual approach is very suitable to be applied in geography learning because geography learning is possible to be designed with contextual learning. After all, it deals with various physical and social phenomena around the student's environment. In its application, the contextual approach includes seven components such as constructivism, questioning, inquiry, learning community, modelling, reflection, and authentic assessment. There are several benefits of applying a contextual approach in geography learning. It can increase learning motivation, student understanding, critical thinking skills, and learning outcomes.

Abstract

The phenomenon of moral decline has colored the education world. Several students and education graduates show an attitude that is not commendable. Many students and college students are involved in brawls, criminal acts, theft, muggings, sexual deviations, involved in drugs, bullying, and other criminal acts. Even among students, brawls often occur. Demonstrations that protest against policies do not only occur on campuses but also occur among high school students and even elementary school students, which sometimes end in violence. This disgraceful act has disturbed the community. the study will describe how important value education is to improve the morality of students in high school, and will also discuss the causes that might trigger a moral crisis in students, as well as what steps should be taken to rebuild morale. The research is a qualitative study. It includes the process of exploring and understanding the meaning of individual and group behavior, describing social problems or humanitarian problems. The resulting state that moral education is something that must be given to students in schools, from elementary schools to tertiary institutions. Because moral education can shape a person's personality so that he becomes a good human being, a citizen, and a good citizen by the mandate contained in the functions and objectives of national education in the Law on the National Education System. The role of teachers and learning designers in developing moral learning strategies in schools should provide more opportunities for students to take moral roles, both within the family environment, school environment, peer environment, and the wider community environment by providing an example through the process of imitation
