Abstract

The point of this study was to talk about Muhammad Abid al-Jabiri's Bayani approach and how it could be used as an epistemological foundation for designing Arabic instruction, especially in the Arabic reading comprehension course. This research used a type of library research, where the authors collected data from books, journal articles, and other written materials, then coded it and analyzed it through content analysis according to the thematic categories that have been formulated. The findings of this research indicated that Al-Jabiri's Bayani approach, despite all criticism, can be used as an epistemological basis in designing Arabic language instruction, especially in the Reading Comprehension course. Factually, this instructional pattern has become a tradition in traditional pesantrens. However, it can be developed in formal education, including by adopting Reigelut's taxonomy of instruction variables. Namely considering learning condition variables, which included objectives, characteristics of teaching materials, constraints, and learner characteristics. Manipulating instructional method variables, which included three strategies: organizing, delivering, and managing instruction and we are measuring and evaluating instructional outcomes related to effectiveness, efficiency, and attractiveness.

Abstract

Engagement (khitbah) is an important stage preceding marriage in Muslim community traditions. However, in practice, the engagement period is often misinterpreted as a time of freedom in interactions between prospective couples. This study aims to explore the perceptions of the Maling Mati Village community regarding the phenomenon of free social interaction during the engagement period, as well as the contributing factors and impacts. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that most community members lack a proper understanding of the Islamic legal boundaries during khitbah, resulting in tolerance of unrestricted interaction between engaged couples, which in some cases leads to premarital pregnancy. The main factors behind this phenomenon include low religious literacy, weak roles of families and community leaders, and the influence of popular culture. This study recommends the necessity of value-based education and structured premarital guidance provided by religious and social institutions. Thus, moral values and Islamic teachings can be preserved throughout the marriage preparation process

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of consumer lifestyle, brand image, and product quality on purchasing decisions for Aerostreet shoes, using a case study of students from the 2021 cohort of the Management Study Program at Universitas Bhayangkara Jakarta Raya. A quantitative research approach was employed, with data collected through questionnaires using purposive sampling. The study involved 171 respondents. Data analysis was conducted using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method with the assistance of SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results show that consumer lifestyle and product quality have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions, while brand image has no significant effect. These findings suggest that marketing strategies focusing on consumer lifestyle and improving product quality are more effective in influencing purchasing decisions for Aerostreet shoes.

Abstract

Indonesia faces a paradox as the world's most populous Muslim nation with a Muslim-majority population, yet diabetes prevalence reaches 11.1% among adults, with more than 40% of cases undiagnosed. Islamic health epistemology remains marginalized within the secular healthcare system inherited from Dutch colonialism. The dietary transition from traditional plant-based patterns to Western consumption, which began in the 1970s, correlates with an increase in adult obesity, reaching 35.4% in 2018. This study examines the negotiation of religious identity among Indonesian Muslim communities through dietary practices as a response to Western food hegemony and secular health governance in the context of diabetes prevention. This qualitative library research employs Critical Discourse Analysis on three categories of texts: religious (Qur'an, Hadith, tafsir), health policy (Balanced Nutrition Guidelines, regulations, medical curricula), and academic literature from 2010 to 2025. Analysis was conducted through data, methodological, and theoretical triangulation using frameworks of biopower, cultural hegemony, and epistemic injustice. Islamic dietary principles—halal, tayyib, al-i'tidal, and sawm—function as counter-hegemonic practices against neoliberal dietary colonialism. Structural barriers include biomedical hegemony that excludes Islamic epistemology; policy gaps with medical curricula adopting dominant Western content; and economic inequality limiting working-class access to quality halal-tayyib food. Ramadan fasting demonstrates metabolic benefits aligned with contemporary intermittent fasting research; however, it was previously discredited until validated by Western science. A pluralistic health framework is needed that integrates Islamic epistemology through curricular reform, policy co-design with religious authorities, and mosque-based diabetes prevention programs that recognize religious practices as legitimate health resources.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in the formation of religious character of students at SMPIT Ar Rahmah Pacitan, against the background of weak internalization of religious values among adolescents. The study aims to analyze the implementation of PAI as well as its supporting and inhibiting factors. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results showed that intracurricular, co-curricular, and school religious culture activities were generally effective in shaping students' religious character, supported by exemplary teachers, routine religious programs, and parental support. The main obstacles include inconsistency of habituation at home, limited learning innovation, and the negative influence of social media. The discussion confirms the importance of habituation and exemplary as a stimulus for behavior change according to behavioristic theory. This study concludes that the integration of religious education with school culture plays a significant role in shaping religious character, and proposes innovation in learning methods and more intensive family involvement to overcome the challenges of the digital era.
