Abstract

This study examines the influence of work shift implementation and work motivation on employee productivity at PT Sumber Bintang Rezeki Jimbaran in Semarang Regency. Using a quantitative approach with an explanatory survey method, data were collected from 38 employees through a structured questionnaire. Multiple regression analysis revealed that both work shift implementation and work motivation individually had significant positive effects on employee productivity. The two variables collectively explained 67.9% of the variance in employee productivity. The findings highlighted that while both factors significantly influence productivity, work motivation demonstrated a slightly stronger effect. Analysis of demographic data showed a predominantly female (84.2%) and young workforce (60.5% aged 20-25 years), which may influence shift adaptation and motivational patterns. The study contributes practical implications for manufacturing companies in Indonesia seeking to optimize productivity through effectively designed shift systems and targeted motivational strategies tailored to specific workforce demographics. Abstract

This study examined factors influencing consumptive behavior among STIEPARI Semarang students in Bawen boarding houses. Using quantitative analysis with 150 respondents, the research identified four significant predictors: peer influence, social media exposure, financial literacy, and family income background, collectively explaining 54.7% of variance. The boarding environment intensified peer influence while reducing parental oversight, with 81.3% of students exhibiting moderate to high consumptive tendencies. Status consumption, convenience-based spending, and impulsive purchasing were predominant behaviors, while longer boarding residence correlated with higher consumptive tendencies. Findings suggest a need for targeted financial literacy programs, media awareness initiatives, and improved parental financial socialization before students transition to independent living. This research helps explain how residential context mediates consumption patterns and offers practical conclusions for educational institutions promoting responsible consumption. Abstract

Generation Z as digital natives have unique food consumption patterns that potentially influence national food security. This study aims to analyze Generation Z's consumption patterns and perceptions of food security and develop a conceptual framework to optimize their participation. Using a mixed method approach, the research was conducted on 150 STIEPARI Semarang students through online surveys, digital food diaries (30 respondents), Focus Group Discussions (32 participants), and in-depth interviews (10 informants). Data were analyzed using descriptive-inferential statistics and thematic content analysis with phenomenological approach. Results show 73.3% of respondents prefer practical food with fast food consumption frequency of 4.2 times per week and 45.7% make purchases through online platforms. Despite limited conceptual understanding of food security (70% of informants), Generation Z demonstrates high environmental awareness (78.7%) and optimism towards technological solutions (89.2%). Structural Equation Modeling identifies social media influence as the dominant factor (β = 0.387) affecting consumption behavior. The developed Consumer-Centric Food Security Framework for Generation Z integrates four dimensions: Digital Influence, Sustainability Consciousness, Convenience Orientation, and Technology Optimism. This framework provides strategic guidance to optimize Generation Z's role in food security through digital approaches and technology-based programs.

Abstract

This study investigates and develops an environmental education-based beach tourism concept for Marina Beach in Semarang City. The qualitative case study research examines sustainable beach tourist development potential, obstacles, and methods using participatory observation, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions (FGD), and document analysis. Marina Beach has great potential as an environmental education-based tourism attraction, but environmental degradation, community disengagement, and infrastructural issues hinder it. The development approach incorporates sustainable tourism and ecotourism concepts with environmental protection, education and interpretation, community engagement, and multi-stakeholder collaborations. It takes stakeholder commitment, collaboration, and local adaptation to implement this strategy. Given its limitations and suggestions for further research, this study helps sustain beach tourism in Indonesia and worldwide.
