Abstract

Income plays a very important role in determining individual consumption patterns, reflecting consumers' purchasing power towards goods and services. This study investigated the impact of average income on consumption levels in North Sumatra, focusing on the relationship between income and shopping behavior in the region. The purpose of this study was to study how variations in average income affected consumer spending habits and general economic activity in North Sumatra from 2020 to 2022. This study used secondary data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) North Sumatra, which included per capita consumption levels and average income. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression method. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between average income and consumption levels in North Sumatra in 2020–2022; In other words, the higher the average income, the greater the per capita consumption. The research highlights the importance of stability and income growth in stimulating consumer spending, thereby boosting economic growth.

Abstract

This research focuses on the identification and analysis of employee performance factors in the context of the manufacturing industry. Through a comprehensive literature review, the study explores different aspects of organizations and how they interact with employee performance. Factors such as leadership, communication, motivation, work environment, and professional development are analyzed to understand the effect of employee performance. The results of this study are expected to provide new insights for stakeholders in the manufacturing industry to understand and improve organizational culture and employee performance. The research also highlights the need for further research in this area to understand the complex dynamics between organizational culture and employee performance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pemanfaatan media sosial khususnya TikTok dan Instagram berperan dalam meningkatkan keberanian mahasiswa untuk memulai bisnis secara online. Sebanyak 100 mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Medan dijadikan responden dalam studi ini. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner terstruktur melalui metode purposive sampling, sementara analisis data memakai regresi linear sederhana. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa penggunaan media sosial memberikan pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keberanian berwirausaha secara daring. Hubungan tersebut tergolong kuat, ditunjukkan oleh nilai koefisien regresi sebesar 0,815 (Sig. < 0,001) dan R² sebesar 0,704, yang mengindikasikan bahwa 70,4% variasi keberanian memulai bisnis dapat dijelaskan oleh penggunaan media sosial. Secara implisit, temuan ini mempertegas peran media sosial sebagai sumber dukungan sosial dan penguatan self-efficacy yang mendorong mahasiswa UNIMED mengambil langkah nyata dalam menghadapi risiko bisnis digital. Implikasi dari studi ini adalah perlunya mahasiswa untuk memanfaatkan media sosial secara strategis sebagai sarana praktik kewirausahaan, serta mendorong institusi pendidikan untuk menyediakan pelatihan digital entrepreneurship yang relevan
