Abstract

The aims of this research were to determine the types and the most dominant translation technique used to translate the source language into the target language in subtitling and dubbing in OST Frozen 2: Into the Unknown. This research uses qualitative research design. The data was derived from the lyrics of Disney’s “Into the Unknown” song. The subtitling version was taken from the Frozen 2 movie. While the dubbing version comes from one of Indonesia’s television networks, GTV. The researcher conducted this research by collecting, classifying, analyzing, and concluding the data. The results of this research showed that ten translation techniques by Molina and Albir (2002) were found in the subtitling version, are Adaptation (1 data), Amplification/Addition (1 data), Calque (4 data), Compensation (1 data), Established Equivalent (2 data), Linguistic Amplification (2 data), Literal Translation (7 data), Modulation (2 data), Reduction (9 data), and Transposition (3 data). Reduction technique is the most dominant translation technique in the subtitling version. It has the highest data frequency, 9 data. However, ten translation techniques by Molina and Albir (2002) were found in the dubbing version, those are Adaptation (1 data), Amplification/Addition (1 data), Calque (1 data), Compensation (1 data), Established Equivalent (1 data), Linguistic Amplification (2 data), Linguistic Compression (7 data), Literal Translation (1 data), Modulation (3 data), and Reduction (10 data). Reduction technique is the most dominant translation technique in the dubbing version. It has the highest data frequency, 10 data.

Abstract

The pandemic has stifled the national economy and urged the government to take fiscal action to save the economy. One of them is a tax incentive for four-wheeled vehicles called Pajak Penjualan atas Barang Mewah Ditanggung Pemerintah (PPnBM DTP). The research used a quantitative method in the form of a paired sample t-test to explore the effect of PPnBM DTP on vehicle sales growth and determine the relationship between PPnBM DTP and PPnBM Dalam Negeri. The data used is secondary data in the form of PPnBM values from Laporan Keuangan Pemerintah Pusat and sales of car units sourced from Gaikindo by separating the vehicles to control group and treatment group. It was concluded that PPnBM DTP had an effect on the sales value of all cars that received tax reduction facilities through a significant increase in the treatment group as evidenced by the p value of 0,000. In its implementation, there are several factors that can influence the level of public consumption, including their preferences in purchasing vehicles, brand loyalty, availability of new variants, and the economic conditions of consumers themselves.

Abstract

ABSTRACT In a lecture activity of the Real Analysis course there are problems that hinder and make it difficult for the learner when doing the study. The purpose of this research is to identify the problems faced by college students in the Real Analysis course. The method used in this research is Study Literature Review or literature review. Researchers bring together research results from previous research articles. Google Scholar Platform reference search whose publication year ranges from 2015 to 2023 which totalled 13 journal articles related to the research title. Based on the research results, the problems experienced by college students in Real Analysis lectures include: (1) Concept understanding: Real analysis lessons that are quite abstract require students to think critically when understanding the concept of each lesson. Students tend not to be able to understand the concept of Real Analyst lessons if they only see the theories in the class. (2) Theorem proving: Theorems that contain logical and structured steps in proving a deductive argument in real analysis, tend to make of the college students indecisive about the concept of Real Analysis.and (3) Problem solving: Students have difficulty in the process of working on problems that are structured but abstract.
